@stalkervision The fact is that the V1's euro mode cuts out superwide Ka to narrow band Ka. The detector does not have to scan for frequencies that will never be used in australia improving detection time. It just scans the bands of frequencies commonly used by multinova effectively narrowing the bands its looking for. the rest is crap.
Holy shit, wish the range on my XR STI was anything near that good! Is there any way I can boost the range on my existing radar detector? I'm in WA too if that helps.
Mount it vertically mate. Search for 'multanova vertical' there's heaps of vids on it - improves multanova range substantially. I've been told that the STI-R is better at multanova detection than the XR (possibly even better than the V1 - not by much though)
what you could do is go to escorts website and pre order the escort redline that is due to come out it has better detection range then the v1 so they say
Hey, I definitely think you should go with the Valentine 1. The multanova in that clip is not working correctly as it is out of tune from its normal operation frequency of 34.360 GHz. When the multanova is operating normally, the Valentine 1 will always give greater range than the Escort X50 - because of its ability to narrow its scan specifically to around the multanova's frequency. You can purchase the Valentine 1 from our website at nomorefines com au
thanks man!! I will place my order this month... just got another ticket this morning from a multanova... Have you tested any another devices before??
Yeah we tested all the top end detectors against the multanova. The V1 has the longest multanova range by a long way. This is largely due to its euro mode feature, which no other detector available has. If you live in the metro area, just give us a call and we should be able to deliver it out to you and set it up.
nomorefines I've seen both your videos with the V1 and the escort 8500X50 blue. I have a few questions. Which one do YOU think I should buy, how much do they usually cost? I saw a clip on you tube today from nvr2fast and it proved that the 8500x50 blue had earler detection than the V1 in euro mode. I just want a second opinion. What is a multinova? I'm leaning towards the V1 though, and if so, how can i purchase one?
i know this is a late comment, but unless you live in australia, or parts of europe where mutlanova is used you don't have to worry, it's not used in the u.s., and if you live in the u.s. just buy a v1 from america it's 399 compared to the price of others because it's not sold but in the u.s. so it'll always be higher on other websites.
Well done! The more motorists expose the devious hidng tactics of these bastard speed camera devices the better. Police emphasis on speed is pure garbage - it is the only parameter thay can detect and hence fine. The cannot detect bad driving, inattention, poor skills or dick-headedness so they go for the only thing they can measure electronically.
i have a rx70 beltronics and iwas wondering if the k and ka bands work in australia

mariansamuel 2 years ago
I have mine mounted on my visor. Works great there and cops cant see it as well compared to the windshield mount.

if you mounted little higher in the widshield mighgot earlier detection

Oh, and also, whats the STI-R like in comparison to both my XR STI and the V1?
s2k12 3 years ago
Oh, and one last thing. The Stinger DSI - what's the go with that?
s2k12 3 years ago
Sti-R, beats XR in range because it has narrow ka band scanning, not superwide

Wow, that's a pretty decent gain! I'll have to try that, thanks mate!

why do u have the Euro mode activated
mike82y 5 years ago
Euro mode, narrows the scan specifically to the frequency of the multanova, and greatly increases the detection range.
nomorefines 5 years ago
oo man this is so well said ;) good words

Is this set on Euro mode or normal wideband mode?

Its in Euro.
