I have done these at home never thought to do them camping great idea! If you want make holes in them use the cap of a water bottle and then you will have donuts and donut holes! ;)
Great stuff. Only an American would make donuts whilst camping :o) Thanks to ravenblaze for mentioning that it was a dough mix not the actual biscuits although I had guessed that's what was meant. I found it difficult to read the name of the website though. Best to use a white text with black shadowing, or add a plain white strip at the bottom and put it in that, like videocamper said.
I don't gennerally associate Olive Oil with sweet foods, I would think it gives the dough a strange flavor, but still good recipy and a creative use of biscut dough. 4 stars
Right you are Mike! It's just fry bread. I don't remember if I mentioned this in the video or not, but frozen bread works just as good as biscuits for both donuts and fry bread. Thanks for the comment - Ken
When I was a kid I would go with my family to the old fort Bridger for the mountain man randevous days. They served fry bread everywhere and I love it and wish more people would learn about it.
Nice video. Low-key but detailed. Love the friendly narration. I'm trying these donuts with my Girl Scouts next fall -- heck, why wait? I'll trying 'em at home this weekend for Father's Day. Some of those store-bought refrigerated biscuits contain very little food, so they're compatible with a lot of allergies.
Believe it or not I have actually tried quite a few different colors of text and haven't really found anything that really works good. I think I'll probably end up just putting a soild color box behind the lettering. Thanks for letting me know about that, though.
I'm glad you used a mic so that it's easy to hear you. Unfortunately, I can barely read the brown text that pops up. Probably could if it was white text.

We would roll the biscuit out flat and fry them to make taco's. Letuce tomato cheese onion and sour cream with salsa. Fry bread easy style!

Doesn't look too healthy, but looks like it tastes great and is easy to make. Great camping idea especially for the kids. Thanks.

I would have never even thought about making donuts while camping, or to use premade buttermilk biscuits.
This will definitely come in handy for my all my camping trips.

By all means try this one, I think you'll find it has good entertainment value as well, if you camp with kids. Thanks for the comment!
