Hi just wondering if I could feed my crab(very big) feeder goldfish? He is in a saltwater 10 gallon tank which is apparently to small for but I will get him an upgrade. He has been eating frozen shrimp which I thaw out in a cup of water but I would really like to get him some live food.Is this a good idea and if so are feeder goldfish the best option and also how long can the goldfish last in saltwater(it may take a while for "Bubba" the crab to catch them).Thank you very much and please reply so
its completly of the point to this video but do you have any fish recomendation for a fish that can eat goldfish (not neccesery but cool) cheap under £50 or whatever and freshwater for a 60cm long tank 30cm width and 30cm deep?
Thanks for providing more inaccurate information to further confuse the public. It is stores and people like you that get people into putting sharks into tanks that are way too small.
The info provided in this video are the reason sharks suffer in captivity. You want some facts? Search for bamboo shark in 240 and tell me if sharks can go into a 180 as you state in this video. I also posted a video of a marble cat shark in a 180 shark ia only 6 months old and already almost too big for tank.
@Athlete1990 The worst part is, many people are purchasing Leopard Sharks (Triakis sp.) under the impression that Leopard Sharks are legal as long as you buy them from canada, or another country outside the USA. The reality is, it is a federal offense to own a live leopard shark ANYWHERE in the united states without a scientific permit! We have a big problem with douchebags catching large pregnant females, cutting them open, removing the live pups, and discarding the mother sharks...
@mmmmmarcus i have to agree... fact of life: poachers are scum. and if you know you cant care for it dont try it. i am by no means an expert, i have been doing salt tanks since the 7th grade (im in 11th now) and really want to try sharks, im stuck with a 55g and cant upgrade till after im out, but i have heard too many stories about inexperienced fresh water keepers trying sharks "right off the bat" and it doesnt end well, so theres the reason for my preachy response
@galwaypeters2 All elasmobranchs are a pure nightmare to maintain. The PH goes wrong, the sharks/rays die very fest. There is one redeeming quality, though. Sharks and rays can be clean eaters if fed properly. The biggest danger IMO, is when the sharks suffer a cut or scrape. Shark blood breaks down into urea, and can be extremely toxic to sharks!
feeding goldfish to shark,s is lousy advice, feeding them to any predatory fish is lousy advice, goldfish carry almost no nutritional value and cause disease. when would a shark ever come across a goldfish in the ocean...
funny thing is when you got to there store the used to have a shark (i live in Austin and go there every now and than) and the pore thing was in the opposite of condition never looked really happy and healthy

Clown fish, damsel fish and other large saltwater fish ROFL they get 7-14 inches, not very big compared to a 4 ft shark LOL.
I wonder why he mentions saltwater in all his shark videos, there are infact fresh water sharks too and they don't grow as large as salt water sharks and they are fairly easy to keep and will eat what you serve them. I had 2 in care, they where eating like a pound of food costing a arm and a leg.

it depends, is it fish only? or do you have coral. for a for a reef tank, i would recomend som kind of protien skimmer.
for a small fsh only tank, a power fiter should do just fine.
