Beautiful song! Although I can't understand a word (I'm sure it's Japanese), the emotions communicated in this sweet voice and gentle music are so strong that I subconsciously attach meaning to each word.
The meaning is ethereal and fluid, like a nearly forgotten dream, and slightly out of reach, so I couldn't put it back into words. I would describe it emotionally as happy, yet longing -- the opposite of angst. :-)
@furrantee Thanks for the try. I have a friend who used to teach English in Japan and in the process learned Japanese. He's in South Korea now, and I keep putting off writing to ask him. If he has any problems, I'm sure his Japanese wife can help. Thanks again! :-)

@videoinformer While my Japanese is far far far from fluent, I'm catching yume which means dream and tsuki or moon. The rest.....I have no idea.
