(Funny, I'm not even so much into anime) I don't do it because I 'need' it. It is simply what I like and am comfortable with, even if it does get me a lot of flack from others. Powerful emotions to this music.  I especially like how the piano works with the vocals. Even though your piano is rather beat up, it is sorta nice. That your piano keys are a little seasick out of tune, it makes the music have a weathered quality to it. Sure it would sound better with even sound/production, and maybe the digital piano too. This song holds up regardless.
