when i heard the SNSD version, i thought it was okay and cute...

@niceme54 Yes, women do get treated differently there, but it was an age and sunbae thing (he debuted long before she did) and she was out of line. Many male celebs in Korea were criticized for being just as disrespectful to their sunbaes or elders, SNSD is no different. Like I said, its not fair for me to judge all the girls for one member's mistake and for one variety show but its just something I grew up with. Although I am starting to likeHyeoyeon for hip hop dancing skills.

@niceme54 I don't go out of my way to dislike them. I've tried, believe me, I've tried to like them. I've tried to watch variety shows with them so I could try to like them. But I come from a culture where you don't diss your elders like that, at least not in public. And so when my first impression is of you being disrespectful, it will take a long time for me to try to like you. I'm a fan of their songs like HOOT, RDR and Genie. Sorry its hard to change my mind unless I meet them or something.

@niceme54 I don't know about everything else, but I'm talking about one of the girls put Kim Ji Suk down on TV. I'm being unfair to all the girls, and perhaps that one particular SNSD member just thought she was being funny or didn't know what she was doing, but that was just messed up. Not only did she put him down on TV, she also corrected his English when he had earned teaching certificates from Britain and she was barely done with High School herself. It just put a bad taste in my mouth

Is it strange to love this version 10 times more than SNSD's?? I heard this one first from I am Legend and then listened to their version and I just didnt like it as much. Maybe Im just too rock and roll!! ;p

@PinkAphroditeDoll I feel the same way. We're going to get skewered if the SNSD fans catch us, but I don't care. This version is waaay better in my opinion. The fact that it doesn't have overly sexed up teens is an added plus, but whatever. To every person their own right? XD

So when a whole bunch of girls are wearing tight clothes and flaunting.. something?, It takes away from what they're actually tring to convey to me from the song.

@PinkAphroditeDoll But that's the thing, I don't hate SNSD. I actually like some of there songs because of their catchy beats. I came into the kpop scene in time to learn about some of the controversial things SNSD did (regarding certain sunbaes and whatnot, but I'll leave it at that). So basically, I've been soured off of SNSD for a very long time, but I would never bash them because I like their stuff the same way I like Kara and miss A.

@PinkAphroditeDoll It's just easier to like smaller groups because you get to know their personalities and love them more for it (all though some of the SuJu members got sneaky and won me over. Darn me and my obsession with variety shows. XD). And I've come to accept that sex sells and as much as disapprove of young teens sexing it up, they have to make a living too. But yeah I'm not a SNSD fan, but I don't hate them too. I just don't care either way. I hope that makes sense. XD

I think a lot of the people who are not on t.v selling their booty or picture perfect faces, are some of the most talentd. I think why I love this version of the song so much is that its totally not overly processed and fluffy. Its much more raw and cool.
