  • Such were the silky voices that I heard in childhood!

  • I feel so close to this song. My ancestry were Indian slaves to Trinidad.

  • Vijayantimala ... The most beautiful Indian actreess of all times ... no one will replace her ever !!

  • Beautiful song ------heard so many times during youthful years of boyhood. Great nostalgic pleasure.

  • very good song fron nagin

  • Wow what a beautiful voice

  • Lovely immortal composition. Such hindi old melodies will remain in hearts of true music lovers till centuries...whereas hundreds of songs composed in todays era die in a span of not more than an year or so..Really it was the golden era

  • oh to aapka dadi hei.

  • this is legend, these things will never come again writers directors ans singers and actors too are rememberes dfor several decades , there is no replacement of these heart songs R P SINGHAL

  • Listen to this close to 60 years old song, simple with few insturments in entire orchestra and yet with crisp, clear and very impressive, effetive and great sound. In name of technology and improvement today's commecialization has simply killed all arts and talents around. Especially DAMN synthesizer.

  • I enjoy this original song very much. I have heard it since I was ten 50 years ago and never fed up with it. My big problem is that I don't know the translation in English. Can anybody help translate it?

  • @mamanarh Here is a line to line literal translation: Part I

Come, do come; My heart begs you to come; You are the solace of my grief, come. The weather is so enchanting; Where are you at this lovely moment; My heart begs you to come; You are the solace of my grief, come; The weather is so enchanting; My heart begs you to come. When you are not with me, what is this lovely weather, breeze for; Tell me what to do when you are far from me; How lonely is this world, where do I go now, just tell me.

  • @orientlover1 Part II:

The weather is so enchanting; Where are you at this lovely moment. Storms have smashed our nest; Happy world of love has been robbed; Just show a small glimpse of yours before I die, my sweetheart. The weather is so enchanting..My life cries secretly in loneliness, cries, cries; The day has not declined yet, why the evening falls then; I leave your world with your grief within; Even for a moment, just come. The weather is so enchanting; My heart begs..(Posted from Lahore)

  • @orientlover1 - On behalf of all our friendly viewers, I thank you very much for the pain you have taken to translate this song.

We appreciate it very much, my dear friend.

    May God bless you.

  • She is soooo pretty!!! :O

  • C.Ramachandra and 200 violins kahaa se ayaa hai bhai ? This music is by Hemantha Kumar for Nagin. In Fact it is a product of Hemantha kumar, Kalyan ji and Ravi ( They were Hemantha kumars Assists ) - Arani Apparao-Hydera bad-A.P.

  • Beti

    Good evening

I was 8 years old when this movies released. Only thing I caught was the Nagin Been music. That music became a standard music for all snake charmers till to date. Such was the great music those days. I am lucky to born in that Diamond era of Diamond movies..

    Blessings to you beti

    uncle

  • @mahesh1946 - Thank you my dear Uncle Uma for the very nice comment.

    May God bless you.

  • What a great song. Lata ji May god bless you. You are genious. C.Ramchandra´s composition is immortal. His first attempt of introducing been is marvellous. Second most important thing a listner of this song would feel as His violin orchastra is consisted of 200 individuals. He was a great composer. When ever I listen to this particular song I always screw up and incorporate echo both in the violin and been part. (5th Jan2011)

  • Oh what a beautiful song. Great music

  • You know Yuan, I audio copied this song for about 15 times and used to play that song continuously in my car. When I got married, my wife asked me why this song is playing again and again. I told her the first one was sad and the second one not so happy etc etc (she does not know Hindi, just like me). Even today she complains about the prank. I love this song so much. I know I commented on this song in the past but just wanted to tell you that i love this song so much.

  • what lyrics, what composition, what voice and what a sincere acting. What happened to good old magical days!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good SONG>>>>>>

  • just exquisite !

  • @crazyoldsongs - You are most welcome, my dear friend.

  • @yuanyuanyuanyin

I have been searching for the Lata Mangeshkar & Manna Dey chorus,"Peepul talle hai ghar mera....Kabhi bhoole se maar kabhi maar sajan phera".I do not know to which movie does it belong. Can you upload it and oblige? Nasreen

  • @sqnq25 - My dear friend, I do not know Hindi or Urdu but I KNOW that your words are not correct.

It is impossible to trace a song without the songs name and also without the film's name.

I tried my best but failed.

However, I feel that your song may be there in my channel too.

Just type the words "Manna Dey & Lata" search and you MAY find it.

    Thank you.

  • Anice old song By Lathaji..

  • translation anyone?

  • I was just 12 years old when this film was released and all songs were superhit. An onparellel use of Been . Kalyanjibhai came to be known to all in no time. Thanks for the upload.

  • Who was the actoress? I have been listining this song for over 50 years and still awakes my soul up.

  • @Saigalbakhat123 - She is Vyjayanthimala, one of the most popular actresses in 50s, and 60s, who won a large number of awards for her acting and classical dancing achievements.

    Thank you.

  • Lovely! Best song of the film in my opinion. One of Lata's top songs. A very different melody composed by Hemant Kumar. Only Yuan could dig up such treasures...only Yuan. Ty again Yuan. Think I'm going to write a song on Yuans uploads.. agree everyone? So say one, so say all? :-)

  • my ears are blessed thank you dost

  • @pearlgold100 - I totally agree with you my friend, "no comparison".

  • Wonderful song thanks for posting. I think you may want to consider having your own web site. You have such a nice collection of oldies which are goldies. Can you please remove the "Nagin" (Devnagari: नागिन) is a 1954 film directed by Nandlal Jaswantlal and Produced by Mahendra Shah. Starring Vyjayanthimala, P which is repeated twice, Thanks Arjun.

  • My dear friend, thank you for the suggestion. I was thinking about it for a long time.

I have just updated the details and you are the FIRST to tell me about the mistake I made nearly 2 years back and after 30050 views!

    Thank you very much.

  • thanks for all those videos.you could be my middle name where hindi songs are concerned, malaysian fan and same like you know very little hindi

  • You are most welcome, my friend.

  • wow...wht a song

  • Its a beautiful song, to say the least. Thank you very much.-- But if you don't know Hindi or Urdu, then how do you know what to upload and post?--Just by the music?

  • Though we do not know the languages, we know how to "identify" or "spot" a good song, since both our cultures are same.

It was like this, here in Sri Lanka for generations.

In fact, most of these songs have been reproduced over here in local languages.

    Thank you!

  • Please reply but can you post this same song but in color Its a huge request if you can't its ok i understand

  • I am sorry my friend. I do not have the colour version.

  • What a beautiful Song. It looks like you have added the audio seperately

  • Actually, this is how it was. Nothing added. I think this is the original song.

    Thank you.

  • No doubt it is original. But it still seems that audio and video were combined. The lips are not synchronized. Anyway thats not a big issue. Once again thanks for uploading this lovely song.

  • You are most welcome, my friend.

  • I used to play this song on flute on stage and give performances when I was about 14 years old, so have fond memories of this song. Thanks for bringing it back to my life

  • You are most welcome and thanks for the sentimental comment you made, my friend. I do not have "the heart" to ask you as to why you have not met your mother for the last 13 years due to obvious reasons.

Take care my friend and may God bless you too.

  • Vyjayanthi does full justice in expressing the words and voice of Lata. Thanks for this lovely oldie
