  • God bless u carrie

  • @danishdaniel20 yes I agree. God bless you Carrie.

  • Now consider what really contributes to a woman's "beauty". Are we trying to encourage those who look pretty but would speak dishonestly (or politically) when having to choose between her gain and her belief? Or do we rather put Carrie down and pick anyone that look less outstanding but would give a less controversial answer? I can see that Carrie is absolutely beautiful and, she is honest, which truly makes her an outstanding beauty. A great test - and she passed!

  • @leerebecca14 I agree absolutely she did.

  • Well, I am an atheist from Europe and I am pro gay marriage. However, she was asked for her personal opinion and she answered honestly. I understand that many people find her narrow world view frustrating, but she has the right to be "narrow." Freedom of speech includes the right to say stupid stuff, too.

  • @turtlespeed76 I personally disagree with you that you would state her answering an 'opinion' question in any way was "stupid" as it is an opinion and by he rights of the first amendment, and the Miss Universe pageant rules she answered exactly as she should have...honestly. By the way it is "narrow" to not accept any opinion answer other than your own.

  • just know that Perez Hilton is homosexual. It's really unfair for Miss California to be asked by that question. Obviously, Perez would expect her to support gay right!!!!!

  • @ngan1411 Hilton should never had been allowed to ask that question as a homosexual himself

  • @CAtholic29 exactly he had not only complete disregard for her as a human being but for the pageant, his only interest was in himself and drawing as much attention to himself as possible.

  • WHY do so many people hate gays? Is it really so wrong to love someone? Who cares if it happens to be the same sex, it's the person that counts..

  • @sweetblackstarx Here is the problem first of all Carrie Prejean does not hate gays just as I do not hate gays-just as I do not hate people, sure I get frustrated with some people sometimes but then who doesn't? I think as we have seen by the pressure Carrie Prejean received as well as the threats show quite clearly there is another issue, a much bigger issue and the issues is that if you do not let gays have their way no matter what it may be they will use intimidation tactics.

  • @sweetblackstarx They do not tolerate any freedom of speech opinion, unless it conforms to their view. Carrie Prejean never once expressed hatred, in fact, she said the very opposite. It is a sad day when in America one no longer has the ability to speak their conscience. Let's all adopt the ways of Communism or Dictatorship if that's how you want it.

  • @sweetblackstarx no! its what God approves of that counts for eternity .

  • so if a gay goes crazy and speaks out against someone who is opposed gay marriage everything is ok, but if a heterosexual speaks out against gays then it's wrong??

what did this country come to???

  • @innysik2008 exactly a very common sense response...it has come to reverse discrimination...it has become a very backwards country.

  • When you answer a pageant question with "Well I think it's great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. Um, we live in a land that you can choose... um, same sex marriage or opposite marriage, and you know what? In my country and in my family I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman, no offense to anybody out there, but that's how I was raised and that's how I think it should be between a man and a woman." you can't expect to get a good score.

  • @WsupppDeborahx so you are saying that she should have stated your personal opinion (and not answer the question honestly since she was asked her own opinion) or she would deserve to get a bad score. I can not go along with that because you would not only be asking her to lie but to pander to the judge with a political agenda because you wanted her to do so. This logic does not work. I believe it is more important to have integrity and be willing to be honest and tell the truth.

  • @WsupppDeborahx somehow, I have a feeling that she started with a popular answer and then changed her mind to say what she actually thought.

  • @ngan1411 It depends upon your definition of the "popular" considering she actually answered EXACTLY how her state, the state of California, voted.

  • wow america really bacem a country of liberals....wow

    What's normal became wrong...

  • @heyyy185 it is sad I agree with you that she can not even give her honest opinion without being unfairly pressured and attacked for doing exactly what she should have done in giving a truthful answer.

  • I don't agree with her at all, but at least she gave her honest opinion instead of lying to try and get Perez Hilton's vote..

  • She not only gave the answer, she is now LIVING that answer. She has since gotten married to NFL quarterback Kyle Boller, and they are expecting their 1st child. So you vehement LGBT gay fascists, she's not even thinking about you, so quit your whining.

  • You are incredible. You delivered an amazing speech. I am sorry that you had to deal with so much media discrimination. I am glad you stayed true to your heart.

  • We love you Carrie!!!!

  • Way to go Carrie we love you!!

"The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off. Why should I? Light up the darkness." ~Bob Marley

  • The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong. ~Mahatma Gandhi

  • she's so hot, and w/e who cares, i dont get it, they asked for her opinion but yet they freak out. who cares ? its her opinion! WHICH THEY ASKED FOR! and the last reason who cares shes hot!

  • I hate those beauty competitions, but I can't believe the USA is such a bully for somebody being honest. It looks worse than a communist country how people get bullied in the USA. When that queen asked her the question, she could have said that it's her business what she thinks and doesn't have anything to do with anybody else, but she was honest.

  • Who cares about some nudy pics? Along that same line, who cares if a couple is same sex or not? Maybe everyone should just mind their own business. Laws are being passed to insure that gay couples have hospital visitation rights. If the conservatives don´t want to share the word "marriage" then homosexuals need to find other ways to get equal treatment in the eyes of the law using new labels.

  • @charlie1der first of all Carrie Prejean actually didn't pose for "nudy pics" intended for the public, she was betrayed for money. That said, actually there are several laws that have been passed to allow hospital visitation rights even in the most conservative states so that is not the issue. The problem is that not only do some homosexuals want not just to share the word but to change the entire definition for everyone which then pushes their agenda of the minority onto the majority.

  • @charlie1der You should look this one up: Romans 1:21-32

  • Ok, first of all, she may 'appear' to speak honestly from the heart as eloquently and poignant, but the fact that she can address those topless photos as something "OKAY" to be considered "morally acceptable" as a Christian, is complete and utter crap. I'm not trying to be critical of her but this is just one of those "exceptions" that celebrities make! Secondly, I'm sure many vicious attacks were on her due to her answer and this is a huge ordeal only 'cause shes a "beauty contestant." -.-

  • As a fellow Christian I would agree personally that nudity is inappropriate as well. In this case as I understand doing the shots she was with that wardrobe she was basically putting trust in the photographer to only to publish the non-topless or revealing photos. If youve ever seen a photo shoot they take hundreds of photos for one or two usable shots. In this particular case after all her media coverage the opportunistic scum bag photographer sold the pics we saw.

  • I also agree she was so viciously attacked because she is so beautiful and was doing so well in the pageant, she was seen as an easy mark to attack. I still like how she is human and never did claim to be perfect, just like all of us fellow followers of Jesus Christ. I am far from perfect but I aspire to live His teachings every day. Thanks again for your comment QuoGirl. And it is true celebrities all too often seem to have a double-standard, yet I would not want the scrutiny they receive.

  • She is good!

She stands for her faith and her own opinion! Respect for her!

  • Me too! Truer words were never spoken. Thank you for being so candid with your comment and for your honesty and sincerity. I do not know how anyone can not see this as she is human, as we all are, yet still standing for what she and the majority of humans on this planet believe in. Marriage is between a man and woman period. Those who attack her simply because she doesn't agree with their agenda expect somehow by being cruel that they will change her opinion or that of the public, very sad.

  • Yes he gave in to all the political pressure in the end. At least he stood up for allowing first amendment rights of free speech to start with since America was built upon differences. What it is sad is to cater to pressure and not to stand up for your moral beliefs irregardless. The ones I respect are the ones willing to stand up for their beliefs despite having it being 'unpopular'. Whether you agree with her or not you have to respect her for standing up for her beliefs.

  • I have a lot of respect for her for giving an honest respectful answer. The USA is all about freedom, which last time I checked includes the 1st Amendment or Freedom of Speech. She was wronged on several levels. Beginning with the fact that a judge asked her a loaded question which was an obvious set up for his own attention and to push his agenda and personal views into the spotlight for which he docked her because her opinion didn't agree with his.

  • I was very impressed how she answered the question. People shouldn't be mad because because they disagree. Miss Cali should be respected for giving her honest opinion even though she knew people would get mad.

  • i personally wouldn't want to enter heaven with judgmental and ignorant people like you. i respect your strong faith but I do not respect your comment about "no gay will enter into heaven". I have come across MANY good hearted gay women and men and its time people realized that homosexuals are regular people. Mark this as a "poor comment" i dont care :D

  • Personally, in my church we teach that Jesus Christ will judge each one of us as of course we all know our own hearts and can not lie. While I do not agree with the lifestyle I choose to love the sinner and hate the sin but I love and treat all people the same. No one is perfect the only one was Jesus Christ.

  • you know i give up trying to explain to people that gays are regular people cos its just going to lead back to the scriptures that don't bluntly say "don't be gay".

good luck with the hocus pocus in heaven

  • I know every person is different so what is 'regular' depends upon a persons perspective. Just because you and I don't view things identically doesn't mean we can't respect each other. Your last comment was a little demeaning but that is your personal opinion as well. I know there is a higher power at work in all of our lives whether you believe in it or not or what you choose to call it.

  • i understand that i was rude with the "hocus pocus" claim. and i apologize. I simply reacted on how people judge me in everyday life then claim to be "good christians". Im not saying u did but many people look down on me for being gay excluding what my personality might be like. and i believe that is just wrong.

  • Thanks for the apology it is appreciated. Whether anyone of any faith or not looks down on you personally and in our church we do not teach anyone has the right ultimately to judge but Jesus Christ and if anything we love the sinner and hate the sin. I do not think any less of you as I believe you are also a child of God and have a spark of the divine in you. I wish you all the best!

  • hey look if anything Christians are persecuted far more than any ethnic or the specific lifestyle choices of some, im tired of people complain they get mistreated get over it

  • I was very impressed by the way she handled this. As a gay male I have struggled quite a bit with my views on gay marriage. In one sense I don't feel a personal passion for the idea because I myself am not religious. It saddens me, however, that there are gay Christians who want their relationship formalized in the presence of God. I disagree with her in regards to this, but she answered the question fairly and respectively. Like she said, she wasn't the most vocal, but was pushed into advocacy.

  • I agree with her

  • I agree with this woman. :)

  • It is clear this was a setup from the beginning. She still has not turned on anyone with words of hate despite the pile of BS that has been heaped upon her since this began. If anyone has gained my respect it is Miss Carrie Prejean, I'd like to see anyone go through what she has and stand up half as well! Even Trump who cares more about money eventually caved in to pressure.

That is she accurately represented the majority of those from her state who voted proposition 8 into law.

  • i believe in gay rights and gay marriage, and i believe her answer is wrong, but she should have never been judged and treated this terribly, go carrie!

  • She did not ask to be a spokesperson but is making the best of it. However, those who seek to destroy, attack and insult hardly gain mine or anyone else's real respect.

Because even among those who may join in her character attack know know that she is an easy target...a beauty pageant contestant.

Why not attack President Barack Obama or Secretary of State Hilary Clinton or hundreds of millions of others who would agree with her opinion of marriage before God between a man and a woman?

  • Gays also tell alot of lies. She is only against the redefinition of marriage. She has not said anything about their rights.

  • I am so proud of carrie prejean. I used to actually feel for the gay community but this just tipped the cup. Everytime gay people launch an attack they do so with so much hate in them and insults.

Seriously if ur going to call on DR King as your reference your going to start acting like them.

  • GO Carrie...!! well done for standing on ur own foot..! I'm Proud of you!!!!!!!

  • As far as her alleged breach-of-contract, it was alleged that there were tens and tens and tens of events she was not there for. However, she was only scheduled for two the one month prior to the Miss USA pageant. And when asked they could not give even one specific 'contractual' event she did not show up for!

  • i feel kinda bad for her.

perez hilton did ask her a frikken loaded question.

and she didnt deserve all those leaked photos. did he do the same for all the other contestants?

this is a pretty divisive subject. people really either hate her or love her.

im not either or to be fair. i think she spoke well in the press conference, and time will tell what become of her.

  • she wasn't punished the way the constitution protects her from. she was punished privately, in ways that allowed her to say it in the first place. she is not the only one who has freedom of speech.

  • I am sorry I don't understand what you are saying here, I already responded to the fact that all US citizens have the right to freedom of speech without fear of retribution, keep in mind that she did not ask to be asked this particular question. Since Perez Hilton obviously has shown by his actions that he can not show the same respect for others who do not agree with his own opinion then he probably should not have asked the question.

We all need to agree to disagree and show respect.

  • "if her beauty wasn't so great, no one really would have cared"

  • "For everyone out there listening, do not be silenced. Take this story of mine and apply it to your own life. I hope I have inspired others to maintain compassion, civility, respect and tolerance while staying true to your convictions and to never, ever compromise your beliefs in the pursuit of his or her own goals regardless of the consequences." -Miss California Carrie Prejean

  • "Think about how much better our society could be if we could be if we could just agree to disagree and show respect" -Miss California Carrie Prejean

  • my hat is off to you mr. trump. Miss Prejean all i can say is wow you are an amazing person no matter what the media says about you. after this i don't think they will do much more talking about you

  • I completely agree with this statement. They always preach tolerance, equality, rights etc. BUT ONLY when supporting their arguments. When voicing opposition they can be some of the most intolerant, hateful-sounding people around, which makes their side worse off IMO. Even here in the comments section, you have people calling her names "why?" because she doesn't agree with you? I guess sexism is not only allowed in society today, but preferred over not being 100% in support of gays. how sad.....

  • I have a new found respect for Mr. Trump. I believe that we should not have the government telling us what marriage is or isn't and stay out of our personal lives all together, we need less government and not more.

  • I agree with the judge's decision. The press has viciously attacked Miss California Carrie Prejean willfully, maliciously, and without reason. I am proud of Miss California Carrie Prejean for being such a strong woman. I am glad that the Donald and Miss California Carrie Prejean reminded us that our Constitution is important. Freedom of speech and freedom of religion must be defended from attack. For those who would attack Miss California attack the US Constitution.

  • They didn't attack her because she had an opinion, they attacked her because they didn't like the opinion she had. and they have the freedom of speech just as much as she did to do so.

  • True I would think that is obvious. However, it does not justify the slander, yellow journalism and mocking by those who claim to believe in tolerance yet do not show it themselves, it will never work for anyone's cause to simply attack everyone around them who does not agree with their opinion it only damages any respect that may have been there to begin with.

  • you have freedom of speech to oppose not pull down and try to ruin her life which is what the gay community did. If i stood on stage and screamed gays are twats and diseased, with hateful minds and filled with gossip (which is a fact) would you say oh freedom of speech thats ok. The gay community did just that and worse. They have tried to destroy her in so manyways, but she has been silent and told her side of the story with respect and tolerance to those who preach but dont do it.

  • Honestly ask your self in this little battle we have witnessed. What side has been the nastiest and most evil in the arguements the gays. Whether on fox or nbc they gays have done nothing but slander.

I find it funny that they call NOM a hate group, whereas NOM only stands to protect traditional marriage and say dont redefine it. They have nothing against civil unions with equal rights.

The gays have been vile, rude and disrespectful on every occassion given. Including pretending to b victim

  • It's time people stood up to the homo-fascists who try to silence those who speak against their deranged, depraved, spiritually dead mentally deficient unhygenic lifestyle. What Carrie said is what the great state of Calif also decided in their Const. Amendment defining marriage in CA as only btwn one man and one woman (Nov. 08)...the same position that the prez of the USA holds, along with the majority of states who've enacted Const Amendments against the complete idiocy of gay "marriage."
