  • this song is better with Eric Lapointe, but still it's a good song

  • This version is much better then the '07 version

  • @kurtmorr Everyone has their preferences. Personally, I like this version better as well. Others may disagree and prefer the other version. There are even those who prefer that this song never existed in whatever shape or form. Meh. Whatever floats everyone's boat.

  • Yes;...This is awesome!!!!!!!!!! But wouldn't it be great to see Dennis back with Styx?

  • these songs are beauilful songs and Dennis DeYoung is wouderful singer!!!!!

  • does anybody know where to fibd the tabs????????

  • There were a couple of songs on Cyclorama that I liked, Fields of the Brave, More Love for the Money, One with Everything and These are the Times, other than that nothing was great about the carrot album.

  • awesome song!!!

  • Dennis DeYoung is and always will be Styx! The Styx we all knew and loved died when he left. JY and Tommy Shaw thought that all they had to do was get a new vocalist/keyboard player and they could recreate Styx without him, how wrong and foolish they were! The only reason that their best songs worked as well as they did was down to the classy taste and skill of Dennis, and at the time I'm sure they knew it even though now they have forgotten it.

  • A HUNDRED YRS. FROM NOW. THIS SONG WILL STILL BE AS AWESOME AS IT IS.

LONG LIVE DENNIS DE YOUNG. MORE POWER TO THE LEGEND THAT IS STYX.

  • I USED TO WORSHIPED 'TOMMY SHAW' COZ IM A GUITAR PLAYER, NOW I KNOW BETTER, .. DENNIS DE YOUNG IS THE MAN. HE IS STYX. TOMMY IS JUST A 'SHOW' (PUN INTENDED.)

    (SENOR ROTTEN /PHIL.VIOLATORS)

  • This is a great new song by Dennis with a little flavor of classic Styx thrown in. GREAT WORK, DENNIS!

  • @blackwerx Here, here! Totally agree.

  • Guys for your info Dennis made this song initialy with Eric Lapointe a French Canadien from Quebec, Dennis has a love story in Quebec, we kinda put Styx on the map in the 70's, Sweet Madame blue went number here (Montreal) first, and albums went so well here first SO Dennis was always very happy with that and he keeps us in a little space in his heart , that is one raisons he decided to make that duet (Eric's voical was in French) with one Quebecer...

  • This CD is totally 5 stars, every track is excellent, no one can deny that it was this man who was the genius behind styx ........the styx today is nothing more then a cover band, tommy and jy couldn't make a decent cd if there life depended on it, the last two styx cd just plan SUCK!!!

  • @TheBowler2010 I agree 110% my friend Dennis is the soul of Styx, always be..

  • @TheBowler2010

I loved cyclorama, but deyoung is a genius also.

  • A STYX SONG!!!!

  • Wow I have never heard this song and I will pick up this CD if its anything like this!

  • @bcbear2000 The whole cd is awesome. This is a great song and it isn't even one of my favs off the cd. Rain and Save Me are classic Styx sounding. Every song is awesome though for real.

  • Sounds like Styx to me. I would see him any day. I love the other guys, but he has always been the heart and sould of the band.

  • Dennis Deyoung is Styx without Styx if you know what I mean. He seems to be the only one still active that is trying to keep the CLASSIC Styx sound alive, the cover band that is Styx now is more concerned about shunning the work that Dennis did in the band. Dennis Deyoung is the reason Styx is where the were.

  • Great tune dennis, just goes to show who was the real talent of styx was, especially when it came to song writing, you were the main reason styx was one of the greatest bands of all time, true talent never fades away it just keeps getting better, looking forward to your show in june in del mar.....keep rockin dennis!!

  • now eat this song tommy and JY,

dennis proves that he can still rock

  • @Prosopagnosia11 I agree 100% I wonder if Styx has even paid attention to how this album has done, maybe not topping the sales from Paradise Theater and things like that, but more than likely it past Cyclorama and Big Bang Theory.

  • @mrroboto5785 imagine if this was a single for styx with dennis still in it. i think it will be another top 10 hit for styx (this song was number 1 in quebec) , pity for styx the last 2 albums were crap. JY said in an interview that "we've been waiting for our santana moment" : mr. dennis de young himself, proves that he does'nt need tommy and JY to rock and make music and make a hit record, but still i'm wishing for a reunion of the original members (w/o john panozzo)

  • @Prosopagnosia11 Cyclorama did have some good songs on it, but you can tell that some of them might have been better if Dennis had been there. My favorite song on there, These are the times, a terrific song, but it is missing the key sound from the classic Styx era, Deyoung's vocals and keyboard skills. I too am wishing for a reunion of Styx.

  • @mrroboto5785 but this song charted at least # 1, none for the so called "Styx" right now. Chuck Panozzo stated that he wants another reunion before another one of the original members dies. Styx isn't just the same without the operatic vocals and keyboard wizardy of DDY

  • @mrroboto5785 i recently was able to listen to the whole cyclorama album and to tell the truth, imho, i hated it. there's only one song on that album that i would consider a styx song. i didn't like LG's songs at all, nor his back vocals in the other tracks. glen didn't do a very good job either on his songs. it was embarassing. but that's my opinion. i'll take it and go listen to Edge Of The Century instead.

  • @mmichael154 Which song off Cyclorama? The only songs I like off it are These are the Times and I sort of like One With Everything.

  • @mrroboto5785 i only like "One With Everything". to me, all the songs but that stray away from the Styx sound.

  • This, You-Tube and the like, are the home of music now, not your record stores. Here, the artist will survive.

  • I appreciate Dennis making a song like this, but I'm afraid I have been watching the scene for a while and people don't listen to music anymore. It has become background fodder. I used to love putting on the vinyl and bathing in the beautiful analog sound and then flipping it to the other side.

  • @1pick2sticks I agree. Although I wasn't around when vinyl was used, there are people my age who would love for this guy to have another hit on the radio. I don't understand how record companies won't go back to what actually worked in the music business. I hate how music has transformed into what it is today.

  • Hi, I have to admit to some surprise. This version isn't the duet that I have on my CD. How did this happen?

  • @cromchild this version is on the American release of the album in 2009. originally Dennis was planning on a duet, but decided to sing it himself.

  • @cromchild The reason it is different is because there is two different albums. The first one is a canadian release featuring Eric LaPointe singing with Dennis. The second one is an American release. Go Dennis

  • @DDYfan91 I dont know who you are but it seems to me tht you are young but verrrrry wiiiisssseeee for your age and i totally agree with you
