i watch best motoring when i was 15, and watched with VHS, it was my driving instructor, they teached how to drive and race. From a ferrari lambo fan boy when i was a kid, to a true JDM supporter, FR expert, is all because of BM. Thank you for all the good times, ありがとう

I feel like if someone very close to my heart died just now. The purity of driving pleasure can never be matched by anything else. I just love this videos without understanding a single word. Barking tyres, revved engines and raw driving did the talking instead. This guys insipred my life and I am thankful for that. @122A7 Because Porsche went for the lowest noise level they could without restricting performance. It sounds boring but it's actually a lot harder to do than making lots of noise.

I don't understand a word they're saying, but I just love watching the way they treat each other with respect and modesty. This is why I will miss watching this show. It's not just the cars and the tests or skills- it's the cult they created. I have all the respect to these men. They look a lot older now. Tsuchiya and even Hatori have gotten noticeably older- I guess that and the fact that the country is in financial turmoil is why they're ending. They left a mark on me for sure.

@yomammaspoodle how was that proven?? the naturally aspirated LFA kept up with the turbo GTR and GT2, and the ZR1 almost lost to the 430. the GTR only has an advantage because it is AWD, and the ZR1 clearly has more power than it can actually use.

So the LFA is slower than the GT-R and GT2, yet it still has the best sounding engine, by far. I agree, the GT2 should have won and posted the best time attack time, so heres the deal: Its the last show, so the GT-R and Mr. Tsuchiya "must win" and that was that, just like boxing fights get fixed (unfortunately.) Best!

@p1inthestreets I agree,the GT2 RS must be faster well driven. I was getting nervous seeing that guy missshifing once and again, one of them, suspectedly, at the beggining of the main straight, where the GT2 would overwhelm the Lexux and the GTR with power&torque. And I think it also braked a bit too early, I suspect tha the GT2 should be capable of equal the Lexus braking, or even outbrake both the Lexus and the GTR. Yes, this was 'a bit' weighted towards the japanese cars

Time attack porsche gt2rs time is 1:51, at race racer must listen director's voice: slower let the gtr pass. so gt2rs slower in race 5 second, and gear change missed 2 times to show how slow of gt2rs.~ what a japan bullshit!

Every damn time best motoring tests a porsche, they guy driving it mis-shifts multiple times during the battle, and short shifts, and loses. Put someone who can shift and it will own all those cars. Just wait until the gt2 rs has a double clutch transmission.

@saygmo Totally agree. With DKG gearbox, missshifting is not an option, but... they could misshandle the paddle??? LOL. You are right, Porsches generally deserve a better driver in Best Motoring contests. But when Tsuchiya drove the Cayman S, it won against all the competitors ;)

the LFA driver sucked balls. took the wrong racing line into turn one at Fuji and the GTR lewised him at the braking point. the LFA should've been able to late brake him into turn one but what was surprising was the GTR top end. 3 laps though isn't enough to warm up those carbon brakes. i would like to see a 8 or 10 lap battle, but you could definitely see and hear them working the cars.

@nysdgiants If it was a 8-10 lap battle the tires on a lot of the cars would have worn down significantly. Oh and there was no way the LFA was going to beat the GTR, especially with Tsuchiya driving the GTR. I do love the LFA though.
