  • Though nothing excuses the actions of the tenant, you must accept part of the blame here. First off, that house is a pit. I would suspect it was a pit even before the tenant moved in. Maybe a nicer pit, but a pit none the less. Most of the problems could have been avoided with bi yearly inspections or even a yearly inspection. Obviously you let her move in and then just collected your check with no thought of what was happening with the property. I believe this is called a slumlord.

  • I don't mean this to come out the wrong way but if that person lived there for 3 years how did you NOT know the damage that was going on in the home? Didn't you ever go to the property during that time? I mean even a once a year walk-thru or something.Even as little as coming to do "routine maintenance" like changing furnace filters would have showed you that there was a problem. I feel bad for ya and the headache this put you through but as the property owner you should've been more on the ball

  • That's just nasty!

  • Since insurance companys charge more on home owners policies if pet dogs will live at the house.....in most states.....landlords have legal right to forbid pets in rental property. Even cats, which in my opinion are 10 times worse than dogs as far as damage to property. Yes, I am a landlord.

  • well I guess next time you will learn to say "no pets allowed" in the rental agreement

  • this is horrible, that pet odor has soaked into the floor. They have to pull the floors up or keep treating them and hope that eliminates theh smell. Its ppl like this who mess it up for animal lovers. Purchase a crate...This womn should be compensated!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Never EVER put carpet in rental homes, especially if it is going to be rented to low income people. I go to Home Depot and gets cheap laminate wood floors for 75 cents a square foot. Looks sleek and sophisticated and easy to clean up after ignorant tenants. The three things that keep me up at night: Deliquent rent, vandalism from the tenant, and major things breaking. (furnace, plumbing, electrical, etc.) Other than that I making a 30% return on 4 $32,000 houses I bought.

  • @hollymatterson what state do you live in?????....32,000 dollar houses??? Man, I gotta move there. A 700 square foot basement unit rents for $1200 a month in suburban Boston

  • @inkey2 Actually I paid $32,000 for all 4 of them. $8,000 each. I rent them out for $400 a month each and come out $200 a month ahead each.

They are in Detroit, which I actually don't live in, I live in Bloomfield Hills, a suburb north of Detroit.

Good luck moving to Detroit. You will need it. lol.

  • @hollymatterson wow, thats absolutely amazing....so are these houses with basements?......or built on a slab..........Detroit huh?......so is it dangerous and scarry trying to get the rentors to pay?

  • @inkey2 Lol idk, property managers do it. However Ihave to foot the repair bill.

  • I'm a landlord and have rental property in one the most expensive places in NY. No one has the right to disrepect anyone's property by leaving behing such filth. It may not be a 'high end" property but the woman deserves compensation.

All I have to say is,don't allow pets. Big mistake.

  • I cant belive our taxes are paying for peoples shit houses like this

  • simple the tenant did not give a crap, would have to kick the tenant out ASAP when you started to see the problems .

  • HOLY SHIT!! this shithole looks as bad as my shitty ass house. I put my rent into ESCROW untill my slumlord FIXES the collapssed foundation wall in the back(it fell). FUCK MY HOUSE!!! will post a vid of the foundation failure if NOT fixed soon.

  • @grettagrids As a landlord, I would have appreciated you following the law and putting the rent into escrow rather than simply (as some tenants do) deciding "cool; I get to live here for free!!!"

  • @disorganizedorg place is being condemned by the city so all my escrow money they are returning to me. my house is not safe or livable according to a city inspector.

  • a cheap shithole like that and had to pay more than 300 dollars a month, I'd light the place on fire. You people who think I'm going to spend 500 dollars for a turn over, rent it for 600/mo are just ignorant. There isn't such thing called a "quick buck" lady. Quit bitching about your property looking like shit due to bad tenants, and put some effort into turning the place into something decent enough to live in. Then maybe you'll get a resident who respects the place a little more.

  • @wooterzhooterz - Jeez. you'll never be my tenant. what a crappy attitude. i'd rather have the animals than some smart ass with "the world owes me" attitude. you are a loser. plain and simple.

  • @susanrockz This may be old, but I'm putting my two cents in now. It's not about a crappy attitude, it's about having the decency for yourself to actually put effort into something that you want to pay off. I'm not into the whole "putting $1000.00 down on a shithole, and hoping to make a quick dollar and move just anybody into a house" I put time, money, and actual effort into it, and move people who I know will treat the place right, and not turn it into a crack house.

  • @wooterzhooterz yeah, you are more of a slum lord. Sorry, about your luck.

  • @wooterzhooterz You're a fucking idiot, plain and simple. It doesn't matter how cheap the property is. The people living there clearly had no common sense or respect for property they did not own. The damage shown in this video is more then enough to piss the land owner off. It's a more then worthy excuse to be pissed. You obviously don't own a home, or you would clearly understand the stress this women has to deal with now.

  • @derekmorris89 You my friend are the most ignorant idiot on here. You realize if you put more money into a house, you don't have to rent it out to shit hole tenants? Give me a fucking break you dumbass. I've been doing this for years, and know what kind of people you can rent these places to. I don't give a shit if the tenants blew the place up, and told her to go fuck herself. If you have a nice place, you rent it at a good rate, and people who can afford it have a less chance of trashing it.

  • @wooterzhooterz Most tenants are decent people but a few of them do not care how they live and will destroy the house or appartament. These people never owned a house and do not know what goes in to owning a house. All they know is: The landlord has money look at all he or she owns so....... f**k hiw /her. Let them clean it.

  • place. If they really mean so much to you, take some dap (caulking), spread it out, and paint over it inside the scratches. Those peel and stick tiles in the kitchen are pathetic. If you're truly going to complain about kitchen flooring being ruined, show me some 12 inch ceramic tile busted. Otherwise, take your ass to walmart, buy yourself a 40 pack of adhesive tiles and lay down 4 more to fix your problem. You wonder why your rental property looks why it does? I'm sorry, but if I moved into

  • This is for the woman talking about these so called "damages" that are going to cost, 3000.00.

Are you really that much of an idiot?.... "Nice hardwood floors damaged due to dog feces." Seriously...you had carpet layed over the wood in the first place, if they're so damn nice, why would you have had carpet layed over them? Those doors that are just sooooooo damaged, by the 1/8th of an inch scratch marks from dogs are about 30 years old. They should have been replaced before you even rented the

  • The bitch should have taken better care of her pets or they wouldnt have done such damage. You also should have done the recording yourself. You kid didnt do a good job.

  • @vladssin

not a chance, my sisters dog has destroyed a dining table, installed kitchen cabinets , a garden, house phones, internet router, dvd cases, if the dog was allowed to roam the whole house.. theyd be living in a shithole...

dog owners are in denile and i can see why dogs are nice companions IF well trained.. but its lucky the stuff the dog destroyed isnt really really exspensive.. she has a £2000 couch and i garantee that would be wrecked also if it had free rain of the living area.
