@DBelleMusic I would personally say that the T3i is better. They will produce the same quality pictures and video, but the T3i has a few more features. The main one that I like for video is the tilting screen, comes in handy a hell of a lot :)
@Sparkey1235 good choice, but you paid $1,000 more for a slightly better camera than a 7D. Should've done some research and would've saved a bunch of money. 7D is better for shooting videos anyway, a Canon 5D Mark II only has a few better features. But if money isn't a problem then who gives, right? RIGHT?
how'd you get the video into premiere pro without it looking a little distorted? did you capture it or take it from the sd card? and what settings in premiere did you use?
I'm assuming that this was done with very little if any post work done? Making best use of lighting, hardware on site with Tri-Pods, mountings etc.? I can completely and 100% believe in the power of this camera. Being a "Sony Schmooze" myself *go easy on me folks, I love their gadgetry =)* I would not even consider the @lpha series with this monster of a filming tool available. This has to be the best consumer grade cam available in its price/capability range in my opinion. THUMBS UP!
You just sold this camera, along with the leses to me. Now when this is shot with just the lenses, without color corection, does it look as good? what about the focuas, was that made in after effects, or is that just how awesome the lens is?
@HazeMusick the editing process for this couldn't of exactly been too difficult. Colour correction, contrast, brightness and a letterbox ratio from what I can see.
Why would they post that? That is what makes them money, Im sure there not going to share there trade secrets for everyone. To really master post production you need to learn everything yourself otherwise you will just be going from tutorial to tutorial using other peoples "looks" not your own.

@Pulkadrage they are DSLR cameras in the canon rebel series. The t2i is the first rebel series 18mp camera, the t3i is the newer version of the t2i with the same quality but with a new flippy screen and an advanced auto mode.
@Pulkadrage .... good lord. the Canon 550D IS the Rebel T2i. Ove in America its more commonly known as the "Rebel Series", because for some reason american's are obsessed with making things just a little bit different than the rest of the world. Canon EOS 550D AKA Rebel T2i, the slightly more upgraded verion is the Canon EOS Rebel T3i OR the 600D

@OfficialCypherSon I looked at both also. I compared video that a friend had shot on both cameras of the same subject. The footage looked identical, and I do mean IDENTICAL. I bought the T3i the next day and am absolutely loving it!!! With the money I saved not buying the 5D mk2, I invested in better lenses for the T3i. I also picked up a RODE videomic for the camera for recording purposes. It's much better than the body mounted mic that comes with these cameras standard.
Pardon my french.... But that Sh*t is SICK!!!!! TOTALLY sold on this camera, man... These sample videos seriously saved me HUNDREDS of dollars because I was going to go for the 7D but now i'm after the T3i... I'd go for the T2i but I want that flip-out LCD (just say i'm a loaner who might want to take videos of himself every now & then lol). Thanks for posting! -B
dude how do you get yours to look so good all the others look differant. did you just simply put on 24fps and then color correct it in aftereffects or did you do something differant?
If you are shooting video, yes. But you can still use both. It's worth getting because it's so cheap for such a great and essential lens and without a doubt this should be your first lens you buy.
I have an issue with the video on the Canon 600d when I shot in 720p: the thin lines look like a saw and there is an strange color glitch too. I have uploaded a test (It´s the first video in my channel) I NEED HELP to know if I should take it to the service. Please check it and excuse my english :)
How exactly did you color correct it that well? Did you use curves? I have this cam and after effects cs5. Im tweaking right now and I am having trouble getting the look of your quality. Ty for the vid.
@FenchelJanisch of course it is possible... tough it causes a lo of noise from the lens operation... but, yes, you can enable the option AF/w shutter button during movie recording...
Yes it is. You go to the movie mode, press the Menu button and it displays video settings, there is an option AutoFOCUS with shutter button or something like that and its set to DISABLE. Enable it and record the movie, press the shutter button halfway down n it will autofocus.
P.S: Try using manual focusing as AF is noisy when recording sound and might also vary the exposure too
@vim92 Yes - but you need to install an an-on to the firmware. Magic Lantern is such a project. The autofocus algorithm moves the focus in small steps - around 5 steps a second. This makes some ticking so an external mic should be used. I use a zoom H1 audio recorder, which is cheap and also works as a good microphone.

i have a t3i with a 50mm 1.8 lens... whenever i make my videos it doesnt come out as that great a quality as yours.
My main questions I have been hunting to get answered is:
1. Do you change any settings on your camera in terms of picture style?
2. How do you achieve the anamorphic look? (I have premiere pro and after effects)
3. Can you please show how you do the color correction for the video
4. What settings do you use to render out your footage once its done?
