  • What's the main difference between t3 and t3i?

  • reminds me of narnia

  • so which one is a better camrea and which one is better for videos the canon rebel eos t2i or t3i

  • @DBelleMusic I would personally say that the T3i is better. They will produce the same quality pictures and video, but the T3i has a few more features. The main one that I like for video is the tilting screen, comes in handy a hell of a lot :)

  • @DBelleMusic aint that pretty obvious? t3i is a generation newer.

  • Just bought the Canon 5D Mark II and I'm excited to make stuff like this! I really liked what you did, I'm definitely going to try it out! :D

  • @Sparkey1235 good choice, but you paid $1,000 more for a slightly better camera than a 7D. Should've done some research and would've saved a bunch of money. 7D is better for shooting videos anyway, a Canon 5D Mark II only has a few better features. But if money isn't a problem then who gives, right? RIGHT?

  • what is the setting for cinematic look ?!

  • 0:39, 1080p, Film qulity ?:P

  • What lens are you using ?

  • @whiskerjuice I won't do it because you have the name whisker juice.

  • @jimdevo wow ok....

  • Song name

  • check out my t3i short film "suicide pact" on my page

  • I watched this over 100 times. very good job FenchelJanisch, big big like!

  • Can't wait to get this camera for christmas! :(

  • @ShotgunMustard yes you can

  • @DaddyC00L666 Stop stalking me!

  • share a glimpse of the raw footage pls. This is by far the best I have seen from a t2i/t3i.

  • gotta love that auto crossover from premier pro to AE right? haha

  • dutch TILT!

  • The best T3i cinematic Look video in youtube

  • @Ernests11245 i agree too

  • good value for 600D with 50mm f1.8

  • please help

i have a t3i with a 50mm 1.8 lens... whenever i make my videos it doesnt come out as that great a quality as yours.

My main questions I have been hunting to get answered is:

    1. Do you change any settings on your camera in terms of picture style?

    2. How do you achieve the anamorphic look? (I have premiere pro and after effects)

    3. Can you please show how you do the color correction for the video

    4. What settings do you use to render out your footage once its done?

  • how'd you get the video into premiere pro without it looking a little distorted? did you capture it or take it from the sd card? and what settings in premiere did you use?

  • How do you do the cinematic look?

  • I'm assuming that this was done with very little if any post work done? Making best use of lighting, hardware on site with Tri-Pods, mountings etc.? I can completely and 100% believe in the power of this camera. Being a "Sony Schmooze" myself *go easy on me folks, I love their gadgetry =)* I would not even consider the @lpha series with this monster of a filming tool available. This has to be the best consumer grade cam available in its price/capability range in my opinion. THUMBS UP!

  • You just sold this camera, along with the leses to me. Now when this is shot with just the lenses, without color corection, does it look as good? what about the focuas, was that made in after effects, or is that just how awesome the lens is?

  • what colour correction did you do?

  • if you posted a how to video for the editing in after effects you would get a lot more views!!! thumbs up if you agree

  • @HazeMusick AGREE

  • @HazeMusick the editing process for this couldn't of exactly been too difficult. Colour correction, contrast, brightness and a letterbox ratio from what I can see.

  • @eskimojoe1 yeah but it never hurts to have a demonstration :p

  • @HazeMusick too true!

  • @HazeMusick

Why would they post that? That is what makes them money, Im sure there not going to share there trade secrets for everyone. To really master post production you need to learn everything yourself otherwise you will just be going from tutorial to tutorial using other peoples "looks" not your own.

  • with certainly an of better cameras it there

  • this was absoluty stunning. best look from the 600D ive seen yet! i would love to see what the settings were for color grading so i could recreate the look!

  • nice color, this is just the color im going for. But how come you color corrected this in adobe after effects and not premiere pro since you edited this video in premiere? and what exactly did you to editing wise besides color correction? get back to me with your answers thanks a lot!

  • ...btw best color correction ive seen on youtube!

  • Was the color correction custom or was it a downloadable preset?

  • could you please do a tutorial on how you did the settings ? amazing video

  • care to share the settings with us please ?

  • @DesmosediciAlice settings you used in adobe that is

  • whats the song?

  • What font is that at the end?

  • This looks AMAZING. Makes me wonder what I can do with my Canon 60D with 50mm 1.4.

  • color correction

    24p

    letterboxing

and a large iris lens with a medium focal length (probably around 50mm)

    my guess anyway.

  • very f***ing cool mate a totally love it

  • Hey did u do any effecs on this vid from a program or is this straight from ur 500mm F/1.8. Because that looks insain

  • @Takes1Bullet 50mm, not 500.

  • @foxyboxin 50mm 1.8 or 1.4

  • @Takes1Bullet Says f/1.8 in the 'more info' bit. Good news for us cheapskates.

  • @foxyboxin I'm not a cheap skate.

  • @Takes1Bullet Oh, no, I was talking about me!

  • you need to have a tut this is amazing.

  • this wasn't shot with the stock lens that it comes with

  • @RTCK562

    Lens: Canon 50mm F/1.8

  • @FenchelJanisch

how did yu make it look so smooth?

  • @RTCK562 No but it was shot with a $100 prime lense which is very impressive.

  • does this camera have a shutter speed for the video mode?

  • i like it...

  • That was extremely cool!! What render settings did you use!? My HD videos never come out this great! :D

  • What font do you use in your video please

  • I have this camera! I want some of my videos to look this way not sure how to do this though

  • using the lens that came with the camera as standard?

  • do u have Mac or Windows?

  • whoa

  • How the fuck can you make it look THIS good!?

  • @Fiferthedragonok a perfect encoding. good luck

  • @Remzi96 i use sony vegas 9, and render in .m2ts

  • Comment removed

  • Harry Potter feel

  • @JackReaperZX same heere !

  • Very nice shots, love the colors !

  • What the hell is a T3i and a T2i!? Please anwer!

  • @Pulkadrage they are DSLR cameras in the canon rebel series. The t2i is the first rebel series 18mp camera, the t3i is the newer version of the t2i with the same quality but with a new flippy screen and an advanced auto mode.

  • @Pulkadrage Look at the freaking title dude... Canon 600D (T3i)

  • @TheHayesification That does not tells me anything. But what's the difference of for example a Canon EOS 550D T2i and a Canon EOS 550D?

  • @Pulkadrage .... good lord. the Canon 550D IS the Rebel T2i. Ove in America its more commonly known as the "Rebel Series", because for some reason american's are obsessed with making things just a little bit different than the rest of the world. Canon EOS 550D AKA Rebel T2i, the slightly more upgraded verion is the Canon EOS Rebel T3i OR the 600D

  • My MVI files keep getting noise after I film with my canon 600d. How did you reduce the noise?

  • Is this the lens you used? w w w.a m a z o n.com/gp/product/B00007E7JU/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=securedoc-20&linkCode=as2&camp=217145&creative=399369&creativeASIN=B00007E7JU

  • Super!

  • Reminds me of Twilight a little bit.

  • still cant figure it out

  • Something in this song reminded me of Warcraft III ... lol. I know that this is a pretty random comment.

  • what canon shoots the best quality?

  • @edgarsanchez1904 5d, 7d, t3i, t2i

  • nice vid.i was waiting for a sparkly vampire to pop out at any moment. =]

  • nice

  • After Effects tutorial!

  • great look! what ISO, aperture and shutter speed did you do this in?

  • Some of the shots actually look like animated stills, I hope they are not because I'm getting this camera soon. :)

  • I am looking to make short films and music videos, as well as take photographs. Which is suggested the Canon 5D mk2 or the Rebel T3I???

  • Comment removed

  • @OfficialCypherSon I looked at both also. I compared video that a friend had shot on both cameras of the same subject. The footage looked identical, and I do mean IDENTICAL. I bought the T3i the next day and am absolutely loving it!!! With the money I saved not buying the 5D mk2, I invested in better lenses for the T3i. I also picked up a RODE videomic for the camera for recording purposes. It's much better than the body mounted mic that comes with these cameras standard.

  • I don't know if anyone else has mentioed it, but sound has a lot to do with your cinematic look.:) Nice score.

  • I don't know, but sound has a lot to do with your cinematic look.:) Nice score.

  • Incredible

  • i need this camera and editor!!

  • Is it as good quality as on the 1100D? :p?

  • cool

  • Hi Could you describe exactly which 50mm lens you used, Canon have couple of different lenses and prices are different. Thank You.

  • I have a question, how does this camera save pictures and videos? memory card?

  • @MrMrsDUDEMAN Yes memory card.

  • @mryang91 thank you very much, amazing video!!

  • Beautifully shot. Now I'm for sure gonna buy me one.

  • Wow..this is truly talent..amazing work..

  • Pardon my french.... But that Sh*t is SICK!!!!! TOTALLY sold on this camera, man... These sample videos seriously saved me HUNDREDS of dollars because I was going to go for the 7D but now i'm after the T3i... I'd go for the T2i but I want that flip-out LCD (just say i'm a loaner who might want to take videos of himself every now & then lol). Thanks for posting! -B

  • breath taking, gotto have this camera

  • very interesting and inspiring! keep up the good work

  • dude how do you get yours to look so good all the others look differant. did you just simply put on 24fps and then color correct it in aftereffects or did you do something differant?

  • What lens for the t3i is this shot with?

  • @kassy98official Lens: Canon 50mm f/1.8

  • how can get this beast quality and lighting types?

  • what fps was this shot and edited at?

  • @Sm0k3NMirr0rs too lazy to check description ?

  • Is this the Lens you where Using Canon EF 50mm/ 1,8/ Objektiv II (52 mm

  • Is it really worth me buying the 50mm prime if i have the 18-55 kit lens... Is it that much better?

  • @bluedragonis

If you are shooting video, yes. But you can still use both. It's worth getting because it's so cheap for such a great and essential lens and without a doubt this should be your first lens you buy.

  • This video looks like scenes from "Antichrist"

  • this looks just as good as major hollywood films

  • GUYS HELP : what render setting do i need to use to make this cinematic mod

  • WItch is Better for Film?

    Lens 18-55mm our 50MM?

  • Hi, good video. Could you tell us the other settings like ISO, White balance, RGB adjustment etc?

  • How much is a 50mm lens? and what does it do exactly?

  • yes please tell us ur render and export settings? and workflow thanks

  • I have an issue with the video on the Canon 600d when I shot in 720p: the thin lines look like a saw and there is an strange color glitch too. I have uploaded a test (It´s the first video in my channel) I NEED HELP to know if I should take it to the service. Please check it and excuse my english :)

  • How exactly did you color correct it that well? Did you use curves? I have this cam and after effects cs5. Im tweaking right now and I am having trouble getting the look of your quality. Ty for the vid.

  • I was stunned by the quality.. then I realized I was watching on 360p. This camera is amazing

  • Is it possible to autofocus while shooting a video on T3i rebel?

  • @vim92

    No - not yet...

  • @FenchelJanisch What do you mean with ''not yet''?

  • @FenchelJanisch of course it is possible... tough it causes a lo of noise from the lens operation... but, yes, you can enable the option AF/w shutter button during movie recording...

  • @vim92

F I wish I would have read that before I bought it... I'm returning it tomorrow WTF is shouting video without auto focus my mini hand held does that!

  • @vim92

Yes it is. You go to the movie mode, press the Menu button and it displays video settings, there is an option AutoFOCUS with shutter button or something like that and its set to DISABLE. Enable it and record the movie, press the shutter button halfway down n it will autofocus.

P.S: Try using manual focusing as AF is noisy when recording sound and might also vary the exposure too

  • @vim92 Yes, it is possible.

  • @vim92 yes. Just go to your menu. Click under the first coloum and select af w/ shutter shutter button. Just click enable :)

  • @vim92 yes...but it sucks

  • @vim92 Yes - but you need to install an an-on to the firmware. Magic Lantern is such a project. The autofocus algorithm moves the focus in small steps - around 5 steps a second. This makes some ticking so an external mic should be used. I use a zoom H1 audio recorder, which is cheap and also works as a good microphone.

  • @vim92 of course it is possible... tough it causes a lot of noise from the lens operation... but, yes, you can enable the option AF/w shutter button during movie recording...

  • Absolutely wonderful.

  • please can you tell me your render settings. I never get this quality on my hd videos.

  • @lesbianomusic Yes I would like to know this too!!!!

  • @lesbianomusic yeah me too. i can never get it right

  • With this camera you can change the ISO and the aperture in video? For example in the night you can use ISO 3600 and you can see more than if you use ISO 200 ??..Thanks!

  • hi can u tell me the best settings for maintaining dslr footage quality. im being told its microsoft avi but im not too sure

  • @thatniggbeme7 apple pro res

  • What is the aspect ratio? 1.85:1?

  • Ничего необычного, но понравилось очень!..

  • This looks great.

  • im hella jealous -_-

  • Awesome!!!

  • Does 600D and 550D have the same manual controls/settings for MOVIE MODE?

  • can anyone tell me why when i recording the video, its will always automatically stop recording after 10 or 16sec? is that any setting i can change? please.

  • @kaykee217 If you use a memory card that is not fast enough it will do that. Hey one rated 6 or better, a 10 is the best,

  • Hi again. Can anyone tell me what class/type of SD card is recommended for long video recording? I don't want to end up buying a wrong type of SD card. Your comment/reply is much appreciated

    Cheers

  • @nicolaisidek I've been using the Sandisk Extreme SDHCI C10 card in both 16gb and 32gb. These are rated for HD video as well as being able to record some of the footage being shot on the new 3D cameras from Panasonic. I've shot a music video and some weddings with them and they've worked great.

  • @ALDEN1971 Thanks! I'll get the 16GB then. Have you tried the Nikon 5100? I'm kinda curious about the video quality cuz I'm on a tight budget here... :D

  • @nicolaisidek Sorry, I'm having trouble getting these responses to post. For me, the video capabilities are what helped me make up my mind. The T3i gives more manual controls for video work than the Nikon does. There is a good review that goes into far more detail between the two than I can here. Check out

  • @ALDEN1971 This response window is starting to get frustrating to use. Anyway, check out: "Canon EOS Rebel T3i/600D vs. Nikon D5100 review comparison part 1. Gordon Laing did a very good job comparing both the Nikon D5100 and the Canon T3i, especially showing the differences in the video capabilities of both.

  • @ALDEN1971 Thanks, mate :D

  • nice video! what compressor do you use?

  • Gorgeous! My wife and I just ordered this camera and your work is inspiring. Thanks for your artistic contribution.

  • hi guys! your videos rulez!!! :)

    cinematic look is a plug-in ???

    thanks a lot!
