I think it's great the way all these records companies shut them down and rejected them; only for them to come back with one of the biggest selling albums of all time!! I love that these major record companies ended up sucking it hard! This album was a MONSTER! The only other album I can truly compare this to is "Frampton Comes Alive" And that's only because they are 2 of my favorites! These 2 albums made up my Junior HS years - Kiss would have also been colossal in my yester-year iPod!

During lunch in HS, we would sit so we could sing Paradise by the Dashboard acting it out including the baseball part. Which I actually did quite a few times. The school didnt like it because the singing carried through the whole school. When we refused to quit, the whole lunchroom got a detention... I never did that for Dark Side... When he went for a parking lot attendent, he made one of the biggest movies of all time as well. RIP Eddie... Meat is the ULTIMATE PERFORMER!!!!

@daCritic1000, that statement may be true, but sales does gauge popularity and appeal. And if a band has that, it usually means they are a quality outfit. Sales can sometimes go to shit bands, but in the case of the bands from the 70's and 80's, this wasn't likely to be the case. The only shit bands that rack sales are the bands of today that rely on a lot of studio support in order to generate their sound (or steal if from an alternate source). Back then, you had to be good!
