I was in the other ACDA National Honor Choir that year...just the regular one that did...oh god the only piece I remember for sure was O Voes Omnes. We ended with a gospel/spiritual song, began with a piece that used a string quartet. I wish I could find a recording of even one song we did. :( This was great though! Our choir had members in the Multicultural choir and we saw them perform all of these. Definitely my favorite song though!
Oh man I remeber this! I liked the stuff we did in this choir and it was all a lot of fun to perform, but I had hoped that ACDA that year would be like the previous years. Maybe I'm alone on this, but I really prefer classical music. Don't get me wrong though, this was a great experience! Anybody remember Francisco Nunez dropping all those wine glasses?!
LOL! Ya, it was hilarious! If by some chance I had gotten amnesia and forgotten everything about that event, I don't think I could forget that lol. He was a funny guy lol! My fav out of the two. I liked his choice of music too. he always found ways to make us laugh. Oh ya and the painist was funny too with all his little tunes to match every moment lol
Yeah that was the same accompanist that we had at the 05 ACDA choir in LA. Rollo Dillworth (the other clinician) worked with us some there too because we were doing a piece that he arranged. And did you go see Eric Whitacre at the convention? Supremely excellent composer AND he's HOTT! lol. I accidently left all of my music in my hotel room, including the ones autographed by Eric, the clinicians and the British dude that composed Pacific Song. I didn't even realize it unil I was on the plane :,(
Ah man that had to suck!! I would have been so upset!! lol no I don't think I met this handsome Eric. Most of the free time I had in Miami was spent sleeping lol. I wasn't really used to that singing schedule we had
Ya I know what u mean. Some of my favorite pieces performed by choirs were deminished in beauty because they were extraordinarily fast. There wasn't any time to enjoy the music. I really liked performing this piece with ACDA. Its refreshing and addicting to listen to. Thanks for the comment :)
The bass part is boring as hell to sing.

However, speaking of cute guys, one of the drummer guys wasn't too bad ;)

Very pretty. Not too frantically fast, which is nice and sensual.
