I although I left Islam some years ago, even as a Muslim I never believed it to be forbidden to have visual depictions of Muhammad. We cannot give in to fanaticism. Draw Muhammad day has failed to achieve its goals. Instead of poking fun of fanatic and conservative Muslims, it instead pokes fun at a dead man and the Arabs in general. It is a caricature of Arab stereotypes. Instead, I think we should focus on caricatures of prominent Muslim mullahs and render the shariah the pun of jokes.
@mulhidmurtad I understand your point, Mulhid. However, since it is rather difficult for most westerners to see the point in the spectrum where Arab culture ends and Islam starts, the situation you describe was always a risk :( In order to avoid this problem on youtube, it was suggested that Mohammad be depicted as a stick figure labelled "Mohammad". In retrospect, that is all I should have done at the end of my video as well. I just thought it a little out of place with the preceding material
However, I would not recommand to the people to draw the Prophet Muhammad, or any other Prophet, just because we don't know what they really looked like and that does not matter at all.
Nonetheless, if someone wants to draw them, it's his problem not mine.
I completely agree with that: "To you be your way and to me mine". I would never try to impose my principles, beliefs or ideas of procedure to anyone. I just hope, against all evidence, that one day we may find a way to coexist peacefully. Thanks for this great video.
I can see how that would make it rather difficult!! :)
Even more bad news though for those Muslims blowing themselves up. Found in Bukhari 2:446 - committing suicide by method X leads to an eternal hell of method X. Not quite the bonktastic sexfest with 72 virgins they first believed then!
The people who follow the Hadiths follow the words of men and not the words of God which are only contained in his holy books: Torah, Bible and the Koran prevails.
God's holy books contain everything on anything and don't need to be completed or explained further.
You may find anything in the Hadiths, they simply are not from God.
Only the unfair people like to mix the perfect with the imperfect in order to create their own fake religion.
most Muslims probably will go to hell! here is the reason: when a Muslim die he needs to answer 3 questions in order to enter heaven. the questions are: 1 .what is your religion ? answer ISLAM 2.who is your lord? answer Allah -the 3rd is : who is this man( somebody will be holding the picture of Mohammad) Most Muslims will not be able to answer the 3rd question cause they had never seen this man before! got it ? why we should not draw his picture?
