Only because he never revved over 5000 rpm. It sounds nothing like a Viper V10 when revved to redline.

Viper V10 is a lazy engine with a boring burble that does not rev over 5000 rpm because it has huge displacement. This M V10 revs up to 8500 rpm that screams like F1 V10 (because it was derived from the Sauber F1 V10 engine).
