No Cornell has not fallen off a bit, at all he sounds great first off i hate it when people criticize his voice on these live videos, the crowd is loud, this video is 240p quality and the speakers themselve cannot pump out perfect quality they are just too big and then theres the echo and the having to sing over the instruments which are extremely loud and this was probubly recorded on a phone or a crappy camera my point is made
Is this what art has become. A platform for judgement? Have to relate things to something? Have to compare things to others? Imagine the potential if you used that energy, for creation. Yes, Cornell has fallen off a bit. Hes given us a lot....
And I've lost 30% of my vocal range without even trying. Chris lost only 10% of his working it hard for years on the road. I don't know how he did it, but I gotta hand it to him. Being able to sing like this after you hit 40 is a miracle.
sounds like you don't want to give an artist freedom to play what he wants. i you want it the way its "supposed" to sound, listen to the studio version
It almost like CC got up in the morning and said to him self, "I'm going to play a bunch of awesome songs BUT, I'm going to make them sound like shit."
WOW!!! I saw him in Reading, PA and in Allentown, PA and in Allentown he did one of these medleys but it was with Slaves and Bulldozers instead of Overfloater. But, I totally agree... It is so trippy. The man is a genius. Check out the "Cleaning my Gun- Reading, PA" its a song he wrote for Johnny Cash that never got released. It's amazing.
what a good fucking show...cornell was really gettin into at this one....does anyone know where this one was at???...i saw 3 times in 07..all fuckin great shows...especially the one at stubbs...
Nice to see he's starting to play more b-sides... Black Hole Sun, Spoonman, Rusty Cage, Outshined etc are all great, but us die heard SG fans want more b-sides! :P
Guitarist fucks up at 5:03. Cornell just looks over and gives him a nod of support. Then screams out the chorus with passion. That's how it's done.

That version of Overfloater sounds a bit like No Quarter.

Amen.
I wish I had said that.

I generally don't like medleys, but this one had some pretty cool transitions.
There were some interesting change ups, maybe some people didn't like them. But it takes guts to rework a masterpiece.
And it looks like the crowd was digging the show, so what's not to like?
Bona-fide jam. 5*

Oh yeah. Chris is as old as I am.
And I've lost 30% of my vocal range without even trying. Chris lost only 10% of his working it hard for years on the road. I don't know how he did it, but I gotta hand it to him. Being able to sing like this after you hit 40 is a miracle.
You younger guys don't realize, but you will.

I have something to say to superdude13666
your a mother fucking piece of shit
chris will always be a great artist and doesn't need to retire until his voice retires
he still sounds pretty good.
do you think if you sang as high as he did when he was in soundgarden you'd still be able to make any sort of vocal noise?
i doubt it
fuck you

I dont know what happen to his voice during Audioslave, but when I saw him on his solo tour last year his voice was on par with SG.
Its not the same without Thayil and the boys though..

he sounded bad at some points live with audioslave...now he sounds great...

Cornell is just out of control recently with his voice. Utterly and completely out of control resurgence.
He is in the studio recorded his next album and I am SURE the vocals will be intense.
