The detector detector sniffs out local oscillation leakage. The fix for this is to purchase the Beltronics STI Driver or the Escort Redline. Both detectors used the same platform which doesn't produce the sort of leakage EVERY other detector on the market produces.

Police use what is called the Spectre Stallcar mark3 RDD (radar detector detector) units that are manufactured in Brisbane Australia & distributed world wide..

The only detector.. and i mean the ONLY one that they wont pick up is the Beltronics STI radar detector that puts out zero leakage. So unless you have one of these then be prepared to get busted.

This vid is from 2007. RD's have been made to be totally undetectable by ANY RD detector since then. This guy got his detected by a VG2 detector, which has been obsolete for 4 years now. LEOs upgraded to Spectre, which would choose different frequencies and even adjust themselves to whatever the RD market had. Since then, there are two units that are totally undetectable. I have one of them, and it's VERY worth it. Saves me all the time, but you still can't go nuts without laser jammers.

@hector62892 alot of of RD'S have the Spectre IV (radar detector - detector) built in. so it will alert you if someone is trying to find a radar detector. and then the majority of those have an auto scrambler so they cannot pick up your RD.
