Are you also using salt or baking soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)?
I would suggest avoid using salt for sure.
Avoid using baking soda if you have something better such as Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) or Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) available.
This is only a suggestion.

Only use pure tap water or spring water from the bottle, NO electrolye :o)

you shouldn't use any electrolye. using electolyte will not charge the water
