Sora went through many hard ships to find hime and Sora heard thatRiku had died and stuff so he was really happy thats all.

Even though Kairi and his other friends could have been hurt after the explosion, it was Riku that he ran too. These were suddle hints that Square Enix left for us. : ) Also the meaning of their names. "Land", "Sky", and "Sea". The all touch at the horizon. It's a love triangle. :3

In most cases the English dub actors do such a great job they're at least as good as the Japanese, but this scene is so much more moving in the original ^^; The English just doesn't quite have the intensity of emotion... Sora's so overwhelmed he's shaking when he's talking to Riku, and it doesn't come through as well in the dub.
