I have the Born Again album, and it ROCKS! I also like hearing live performances from the time when Ian Gillan was with Black Sabbath. Embarrassing? NOT! For anyone who does not have Born Again, they should get it.

Wow, this is rare. The midget in the devil-baby costume were only at a few shows I think. Crawling on top of Stonehenge. This is one of Sabbath's greatest tours, definatly. Even if Geezer doesn't think so. The 'Born Again' era is awesome. Gillan is a fucking legend. He and Iommi on the same stage = perfection, well nearly.

Even though the Dio era of Sabbath is my favorite era. I think that Gillan was best suited for the kind of music Sabbath played.

Sorry, 500 characters just isn't long enough sometimes. One last thing, the mindless drivel over who was better during their tenure in Sabbath gets very tiresome, to say the least. Just respect it all for what it was, each "era" had their own highlights, lows, and everything in between. I'm not a fan of only Ozzy, Dio, Gillan, Hughes, Gillen, Dave Walker, or any other one individual. I'm a Sabbath fan first and foremost, and I can see the beauty each member had to offer in their own way.

Ozzy for all his albums, Gillan for Born Again and, listen to "his" Children Of The Grave! undoubtly I think Ozzy's songs, can be properly sung how they was supposed to be sung only by Ozzy (listen to Sabbath Bloody Sabbath), as Ozzy can't sing Gillan's songs ;) but hey THIS IS FUCKING GREAT!!!!!!!! you can listen to both! Loved the intro, it made me laugh. You know, this has to be one of Sabbath's best tours simply because of of the sheer amusement of it all. The whole set-up, stage props, and everything else reeked of 80's cliche. Even the album cover is bad, but it a good way, if that makes sense. This isn't a slight at the "Gillan Years", because I thought it was a pretty good album, despite its sales.

If you are looking for a singer, that sounds a lot like Ozzy, look for "Count Raven"´s Album "High on Infinity" , it doesn´t get any closer !

Born Again is a huge piece of Heavy Metal History. The Album is one of personal favorites.

I can listen to one Ozzy Album two times in a row, before it gets boring, but i can listen to Born Again over and over again and still hear another note, that i´ve missed before.

hey man, i'm 37 and have been listening to sabbath since i was 8 or 9. i grew up playing iommi's riffs on my guitar and i believe that metal wouldn't exist if it weren't for them but seriously....!! ian gillan sucked with sabbath. to each his own, if you like it all the power to you but me and alot of other people think he bites. he's no ozzy tha's for sure

Second of all, I don't give a shit how old you are. You among others seems to think being old is somehow releveant to the debate. Being older doesn't mean you somehow know more nor does it make your point anymore valid.

I post Thin Lizzy audios too, and I everytime I post one of those, I don't see a running debate about who their best guitar player was or what their best lineup was. My Dad is 73 and i took him to this years Heaven and Hell tour, because he liked the Dio stuff that much.

And he did play Violincello and Accordeon in his youth -> Has a musical understanding.

I´m lucky to have such a musical taste running in my family, otherwise i would feel quite lonely out there. At least i´m not in danger of running along with everyones´taste ...
