  • I am a Senior Field Supervisor for Boots & Coots. Nick the person who uploaded this video has worked for me on many many jobs and has done a great job on this video. It was much better with the soundtrack. The 150K unit he was referring to is the lift capacity of 150,000 pounds. To answer the question about the fastest unit. I would have to say the unit 116 was probably the fastest. In fact I am working a blow out in Laredo Texas right now with that very unit. See you on the next one Nick

  • You all spelled QUICK WRONG!!!!!

  • that's a stack that unit is on. What kind of pressure was on this well? Good Vid!

  • When I was snubbing for OtisEngineering CC.TX.1975 we used a 100,000lb.jack without power tongs. In and out with crummies or a 24 for tongs.I was the "Wolfman"on Charlie Farenkamp's crew.

  • by the time BP plugs that well the 2nd rig will be finished with the new well and have it tied into the pipeline..............um good Idea

  • old "Tommy Parkhill's" company Hydrolic Well Controll ,last time I talked to him was at his office in Houma,La

  • thats some quick jacking ....nice

  • hey mtbiker, I'm from Canada too and you shouldn't call anyone liars without knowing what you are talking about first, especially if you are speaking for canadian snubbers. I am certain that they are referring to the lift capacity of the jack , rather than the pressure rating of the stack and equipment.

    Nice video guys!

  • All you good old boys should check out the Grande pipe services inc hydraulic pipehandler works well for stand-a-lone snubbing.

  • 150K? Like 150,000psi? We don't work with that sort of pressure in Canada. We mostly see 5k, 10k and 15k iron. (5000-15000psi) or 35000kpa - 105000kpa. I didn't know that they made iron that will withstand 150,000psi. I think you are lying.

  • @mtbiker4870 150 means it will pull that much weight.

  • Get'er Done ....

  • Smooth on the handles...would kill to hand a smooth 4 post jack like that on my unit. Nice work boys

  • thanks men,

very greas vedio ,it was my dream to work with oil company ,

    thanks again

  • Cool video!!

  • boots and coots is the old HWC and i have been there for 3 years. as far as i know there is no unit 126 at least not domestically it may be overseas. domestically we have 102, 107, 108,114,115 all 150k units. 109 is a 340k, and 104, & 125 are 460k. 123 is a 340k we lost in katrina we just got it back at the beginning of the year and it is being rebuilt.

  • @nraysen0927 How big is the CT you are running. Looks big - 2 and 1/4" ?

  • want to see speed in a snubbing? you just wonder what is the unit 126 of the old HWC
