  • How do u use the rudder to 'steer' while on the ground? thanks in advance :)

  • f**king shit, the gear didn't go down, I touched slowly but of course it crashed...

  • FUCK THIS SHIT THE ELEVATORS RESPOND TO SLOW AND I COULDN'T GO AROUND

  • Can't believe people still watch this. I did it ages ago, it was on Easy, not hard. On easy this is cake. Sorry i didn't say that in my description. And I didn't land it well cuz I landed it from outside the plane. Yeh I hit the ground hard and if the game was harder I would of snapped the landing gear but meh... its all good, just a video really.

  • How do you keep electricity on the plane.. tired of wathcing these F****** videos where no one during it manually

  • @nico434c When the engines fail you have to turn the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) and the APU Generator on to supply power to the plane. Both switches are located on the overhead panel.

  • I don't normally line up perfect on landings, but on this damn mission without power and limited options, I landed perfect and lined up exactly to the line.

  • c'mon man, all the time in the world and you land hard and miss centerline? ;)

  • When I arrived in Male, I had 6000 feet of extra altitude.

  • Dear All,

    I have some curious questions:

    (1) How do love flying Flight Simulator?

    (2) Why do we like to make videos to share our flying skills with others?

    (3) Where does our passion of open sharing of our flying skills come from?

    (4) How does mutual learning and teaching important for players to become a excellent virtual pilot?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

  • Did you dum fuel to reduce weight?

I land on the sea about 400 meters from the airport. How can I extend the time in the air???

  • @applesweeter Maintain 190 knots (best glide speed) during the entire descent after you lose both engines. Above 190 knots or below will cause you to land short of the runway and crash.

  • i cant turn my plane! my plane gets out of control when both engines fail!

  • @Cathaydude

try using the rudder and remember to turn on the APU

  • @jetstorm747 i turn on the APU but is the APU behind the engine controls?its where it says APU and then 1 thing on each side that is the same. is that the APU?. u turn the rudder one side then it doesnt go the other way! can i use flaps instead of rudder?

  • @Cathaydude The APU has 2 controls-the APU on and off switch and APU generator switch. They are both located on the overhead panel in the cockpit and shouldn't be hard to find.Make sure to turn the APU generator on and the APU switch on in order to get electricity to the plane. When you use the rudder are you controlling it with rudder pedals or a keyboard?make sure you have enough airspeed or you will stall and lose control of the plane. And flaps don't control the plane so they won't help here

  • @jetstorm747 keyboard 6 or 7 is the rudder? i didnt see the rudder move! is the APU genarater at the top left?

  • @jetstorm747 im only a beginner or a itermediate, but im trying advanced or expert levels.

  • @Cathaydude the rudder is 0 and Enter on the number pad and ya the APU generator is top left on the overhead panel. If youre still having trouble with the mission go to the Learning Center in FSX. It will explain everything to you. That's how I learned to use FSX.

  • @jetstorm747 ok

  • i cant turn my plane!

  • wow i just landed at male

  • i could land a 737 on the area 51 and the one with the heart attack but i cant landing without a engine running

  • what did you use to film with???

  • They should have graphics of the RAM air turbine deploying...that'd be cool.

  • @tightenthenoose838 That is what I thought, but the 737 is not equipped with a RAT.

  • I landed at the other airport.

  • i just do a normal high speed landing with the same procedures as with engines and never gone off runway. my approach speed varies from 250-300 depending on the decend rate from 10,000... i always come up high at hanamarooh. the apply full flaps and landing gears, reduces you back to 190 at 200ft alt then just land normally and speed will be around the 150's. apply autobrake at 3 or max and walla. dont forget to set spoilers to 29 and rev. after touchdown

  • All very well starting the APU, but they run on the fuel in the wing tanks. Funny how it keeps running when all the fuel has leaked out :P

  • @JonskyGBR APU does not use the engines, it has a different engine on its own.

  • @aliblackmore, I meant the APU runs on fuel stored in the wing tanks, it can't therefore run when all the fuel has leaked out.

  • You need to follow the engine shut down check list APU start on APU generator on they are on the overhead panel this will give you battery power.

  • @mrblue466

Thank you very much mate. It worked.

  • Hi mate.

How do you still have the electronics just before the landing? I lose 'em about 4-5 mins after the engine failure.... What you do that I dont?

  • @EapollonY me too

  • hey guys can any 1 tel me tht hjow can i turn down the landing gear how to turn on apu

  • i hate this mission cause i cant fly straight or climb

  • hers the trick:when you are 2.3 nm from airport, cross the plane a littel to the left and decend a little, peace for peace then reverse trust just before the runway, your welcome

  • thx

  • your welcome

  • @IVgrandtheftauto How can you reverse thrust, the engines have failed.

  • wel look you need to do 2 things :

1.cross your airplain alittle just before the runway .

    2. brake

  • @bobertgreat i did this mission like 2 years ago and then i didnt have alot of expierience

  • @Aviation387 hahaha why did i even post that imatre of me sorry hahahaha i did it like 2 years ago to

  • like air transat 236

  • You just saved the day!!!

  • The Closest i got to hanamadoo is 12Nm miles i stalled and then crashed

  • where can i download the mission

  • its with deluxe version

  • i don't get it everytime i do this mission i descend way too fast an fail i have tried both of the airports but i descend too fastand crash. can someone help me out by giving some advice. i would really appriciate it! please reply

  • what i did was i kept 0 degrees and head for hanimadoo and i got there safely

  • hey thanks. but the mission is hard so i guess i am gonna need som practice i kept my nose up like 5 degrese jus trying not to descend fast but thanks any way!!

  • or what you can do is before the engine fails, disengage the autopilot, set to full throttle, the pitch up

  • It's not hard. And I am not that good at FSX. Right when the mission starts, get out of autopilot, full throttle and start to bank left, get altitude. Pick the "1" option, keep the plane right under stall speed and try to maintain your altitude.

Hit pause every once in a while and measure your decent rate/range from the airport. As I said, I'm not that good, but I did it my 2nd try. Your stall speed will change depending on your alt. If you hear the beep, dip the nose and continue. Its easy.

  • sorry, bank right.

  • use your flaps

  • how do get the rudder to work so quick like that?

  • I got this mission on my FSX Deluxe Version of it. This mission is only on the FSX deluxe version of it.

  • Hi, how how many feet/minute do you descent during your descent.

    Thanks

  • r u supposed to go to Mali or does it not matter?

  • doesnt matter but the other option is easier

  • no, it does not matter.

  • I went north and i ended up in the water just before the airport lol

  • Oh, never mind, I forgot to set APU on Start lol

  • Few minutes after both engines fail, I don't know why all my instrument panels shut off, and landing gears don't come out.

    Does anyone knows why?

  • me too

  • u have to set apu to start and apu generator on

  • how

  • Your engines were providing all the power up until that point. You have to turn on the APU and switch to the APU generator. If you follow the checklist, you should be golden.

  • hyow?

  • LOL for some reason this level doesn't lag at all on my pc ( I need a new graphic card!!)

    so makes it easy too

  • I tried this and I'm a beginner flyer. I only passed tutorial 1, and I made it! (except I didn't land on the runway. I landed NEXT to the runway! But I made it!)

  • i went north, but at landing i crash, no gear =P

  • just ditch it lets me!

  • When I went to Male I experienced instrument failure...

  • I've just finished this mission, made to Male even though I started to descend when the first officer told me to descend to 10,000 feet (if you go up before thats cheating). The trick is to keep adjusting the vertical speed as long as you keep going down, at higher altitudes the air is thin so to achieve the 190 knots you will have to descend at 1900 feet per minute, then at 15,000 keep descending at 1,800, at 10,000 feet VS should be 1,500 and so..

  • I went to Male. When I got to the runway I was 4000 feet, so I had to go around and I still made it safely. While I was descending to 10000, I shifted from 1000 and 1800 vertical speed and I made it

  • That's what I call a suicidal pilot, see how he made the turns and he he hit the ground so hard that almost bounced off the ground when landing.

  • u should keep your descent rate at around 1700 feet per minute. i think its next to the altitude thingy.

  • i went to hanimadoo

  • me too is much more easy

  • OMGGGG

  • When they say descend to 10,000 climb to about 35,555

  • wow! hmm i never make it to male :( i dont know what im doing, will someone help?

  • I beat this mission with full realism on the second try. I went to Male. You have to maintain the glide speed (190 knots) very exactly to make it to the runway.

  • the best way to male is to climb before you have the 1st engine failure and hold altitude after 1st and before 2nd eng failure. you will notice that you are at 16000ft when 10nm from Male

  • omg

  • Wat a hard landing,. I think your realism settings are not @ difficult.

  • What an awful turn to male. people on the flight have defnitely fallen off the chairs.

  • u restart that engine and u get the power but it is on fire

  • what was the reward?

  • what are your specs?

  • i have tried 2 times and i 've done it in second time

  • very nice mission

  • i didn't bother descending because I crashed into the ocean every time, but I stalled every 2 seconds and plummeted from the sky.

  • I can't beat this when going to Male. Heading the other way is easy, but to Male I can never make it.

  • When you still have 2 engines running that the time to gain sum altitude before first eng fails Sort of cheating but oh well it works. If u choose option 2 its easier because u fly straight option 1 like I did I had to turn the plane around it stil hard even if u try 2 gain altitude before failures. I didn start the apu I did it all manually just adj the trims slightly so I had a tiny bit of lift not so much that I would gain altitude to quickly & loose speed/stall

  • @Revelate9 lol, i just did the mission and i gained altitude to about 40,000 ft lol

  • @Revelate9 How is it Cheating Many pilots do that

  • DId you start the plane's apu system?

  • its the same as a pilot, with a single or dual engine problem, if for some reason a engine, or all fails, for one on a dual, they will have to run on that engine to the closest airport, on a entire all engine failure, they will have to "glide" to the closest airport if possble, like a paper airplane flying away and lowering.

  • I've tried beating this mission about 50 times in the last three weeks and I still can't beat it. What's the trick?

  • its impossibl

  • Impressive stuff.

  • a little bumpy ;) just kiding;) nice mission
