Ok first part is potc ish but different key starts in b flat major and shifts to c sharp major... Odd keys hans doesnt usually do if you know his music, powell on the other hand loves that shit
@masteryodaman111 There's another sound track of Eldorado i think it's called Friends Storm, and that one has a little part of the main theme of POTC. And yes El dorado was first.
Listening to this track from 1:15 onwards.. I always get shivers in my spine when I watch the movie and hear this music playing in the background. Awesome.
This is possible my favorite dreamworks movie out there thus far.
I love the old classics- so amazing, and the characters in this movie as well as the voice acting and hilarious punts saved this movie story line more then anything. I love the music too. Though I'm not sure if Hans produced this one. I think he did more "Its Tough To Be A God" from the El Dorado soundtrack
@angieblack160491 Sí, se parecen bastante, sobre todo en este track, ya que Hans Zimmer también participó en hacer el score en POTC 1, no fue solo K. Badelt ;)
Then you should listen to more of his music, A LOT of soundtracks sound different, I'd say the composer with a lot more music a bit more noticeable style is James Horner's animated movie based scores. My favorite Hans Zimmer score is Lion King's because of how diverse and unique it turned out to be. It defined epic and it really was.
@thecandyman86 It has been a year since you wrote this comment, but take a look at Black Hawk Down soundtrack to see that Hans Zimmer can compose other kinds of music. It's a wonderful soundtrack with arabic and african influences (because the movie is set in Somalia) :D

Sounds similar to John's other tracks. The first part sounds like PIrates of the caribbean.

This music is by John Powell, not Hans Zimmer. Zimmer is not involved in this song!
kv04kv 1 year ago
The music was composed by Zimmer and John Powell.
I might be wrong, but looks like Zimmer was more involved with the singed tracks and less with the score.
In fact, IMHO, this sounds a lot more like John Powell rather than "Zimmeresque"
