I dont think it has to do with power at all. I think the reason people are so critical is not necessarily because they don't understand but because everyone on this planet wants u to conform to their belief and their way of thinking. I get this a lot just by being vegan, they understand it but ppl r always trying to prove u wrong cuz they want to feel important even though it is none of their business. I just dnt b friends with them. U hav 2 surround yrself with ppl tht makes u feel good abt u.
You were not stupid Shane , you were human . We don't know the solutions all the time . No, it's not them that has to approve, it's you. What I realized was that my transition was not mine, I said the same , it was the world that had to change. Some men see it as a rejection of being male where if they knew me they would know I adore men , I worship men , I just am not one. And I adore you Shane , I want to hug you all the time.

Oh my god. With the clock behind you it looks like the face is a headband and the frame of the clock is an extension of your hair! It's amazing.
Aww. I hope they let go; I think they will, eventually, when they realize there isn't much of a difference between men and women. And there aren't just men and women. Gah!! I agree that it's about power, but it's also about fear of their own view of the world at such a basic level will change.
