  • With the particular recipe used in this video, we had a 31.7% lye solution - a 6% lye discount. Remember the amount of lye will vary with the type of soap oils as well as the quantity of thos oils.

    The batch in this video  was 3lbs. We used 1.7oz of Essential Oil. You could go up to 2oz. for this size batch.

    We have never tried using soy crayons as a colorant and have not researched the safety. We would recommend purchasing colorants specially formulated for cold process soap.

  • thank you this is the easiest to follow video i have found thus far so thank you! i was wondering how much fragrance oil/essential oil to use? oh an about colorants is it true that i can use soy crayons melted down?
