  • ....dude wtf ...this is some creepy ass shit here I was thinking the studio version was freaky

  • 4 minutes and 29 seconds of pure chills... And then the ten seconds after it ends where you just feel empty.

  • 4 people are stuck at the foot of the wall.

  • My god that's a good copy, i love how claustrophobic it makes me feel, full of foreboding tension

  • I'd never been scared by this song before. until I got this headphones and watched the Scream at the same time. fucking Edvard Munch...

  • the very last climbing up the walls vocal always gets me

  • best performance of this song ever......:P

  • perfect painting for this song

  • I'm glad someone uploaded this so I don't have to. Easily one of my favorite of their recordings. Thom's vocal performance is amazing. I always get goosebumps when his voice first comes in.

  • I not only love this famous painting, but also the "scream" at the end of the song.

  • 3:40~3:50 is one of the most epic moments ever.

Thom's distorted acoustic guitar in the center, Ed's clean guitar on the right and Jonny's massive strings, all playing a completely different part.

    Fucking awesome.

  • @theleo2004 Thom's is the clean guitar, the distortion is Colin's bass with a fuzz box

  • @lasrarities yes, thom is playing the acoustic guitar, but colin is playing the keyboard (distortioned bass sound), Johnny is playing the electric guitar with a violin bow, as his favorite guitarist, jimmy page did. he also plays Onde Martenot at the end, at a very high tone. and Ed plays guitar (clean and distortioned), most of the time, plays his guitar on the other side of the guitar nut, and it gives the "ting" sound (more likely at the begining, when thom starts singing...).

  • @theleo2004 Might I humbly submit an extension of the most epic moment ever? While I totally agree with you, I really gotta say the most epic moment ever really isn't the most epic without the scream at 4:02...

  • and i love jonny in this song

  • this is the best.ever.

  • Phenominal Song!! Great version too!

  • This is one of Radiohead's best (which is no easy task) I have seen them atleast 5 times and this song never tires. The only song I need them to play is "Letdown" and I shall be at peace.

  • I've got the smell of a local man

    Who's got the loneliest feeling...

  • i used to have a cd a looong time ago with this and i think no surprises. i wonder if anyone knows what other tracks there were and where i could find'em.

  • the album is OK computer. 1. airbag 2. paranoid android. 3. subterranean homesick alien 4. exist music (for a film) 5 let down 6. karma police 7.. just google it man..

  • Does anyone know when this was recorded? I'm guessing around the OK Computer days, like 97 or 98, or is it more recent? Just curious.

  • are you kidding me? this is the best

  • bbrrrrr

    happy NY

and freaky tunes wished for 2010

  • either way you turn

    ill be there

    open up your skull

    ill be there

  • woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow oO

  • this is beter than the studio one and he studio one is my favorite radiohead song !!!!!!! but this is so uberly epic

  • absolutely amazing

  • ed o'brien is killin it.

thats why i think its that much better.

  • i thumbed you back up to even, b/c i'm guessing you meant "killin it" as in "he's doing an incredibkle job." it's hard to tell with slang these days...

  • haha idk think of it as a immature version of sarcasm.

  • wow.. how do they perfome a song like this live and make it sound like... better than perfect? i never thought they could outmatch the studio version, which already is godly piece of music.

and Thom's voice is frigging awesome here, especially at the end ^^

  • the slow tempo is a great effect

  • "I've got the smell of a local man

    Who's got the loneliest feeling"

  • @AtomsForPeace92 i thought it was smile, which just makes it even creepier

  • Excuse my ignorance but what is a pvt message?

  • Private message.

  • Thom's voice in this version is a shade more sinister and haunted than on the album version....he just sounds almost possessed by demons on this one, fucking goosebumps version of this track.

  • Awsome version!!!

  • the scream

  • Thom Yorke is God

  • This is really the best "climbing up the walls" version I've ever heard ! the end is stunning !

  • the electric bass on this song is terrifying and amazing at the same time

  • I hate to sound like a music noob, but does anyone know what instrument is being played at 3:15?

  • its an Ondes Martenot its a keyboard but in front of the keys there is a string with a ring on it and you can pull the ring from side to side.

  • i know that on the album its 14 violins playing slightly out quater tones and live i belive its a synth organ

  • Wow really?! That's crazy!

  • sweep echo effect

  • it´s a guitar stupid!

  • damn good picture

  • this is the best version. they usually take it too fast when its live, like at glastonbury 03. but this is the best speed.

    love it

  • whatever I say it wouldn't be enough to express exactly how fantastic this performance is

  • YOU ONLY SEE MY REFLECTION.

  • Great to see this! Thanks for posting.

  • This is definately the best live version I have heard. Better than the album in all ways except the final scream he does. On the album its absolutely terrifying, while this ones still good I think Thom is afraid he'll blow his voice out if he goes all out in concert.

  • Sent shivers up my spine....... open up your skull....... ill be there

  • this is the most terrifying song ever written.

  • Good song from Radiohead's genius. I liked so much Thom's passage falsetto/voice (1.45-1.52)....JUST PERFECT! RADIOHEAD RULE!!!

    Italy loves you...

  • 'i am the face as she sleeps tonight' o right i thought it was 'it always best the light is off'

  • in the live versions thom occasionally sings "i am the face as she sleeps tonight"

but on the album version its "its always best when the light is off/covers up" not sure exactly of the correct lyric, but he does have 2 different lyrics he uses

he must of thought of that lyric after he recorded it =p

  • one of the best song ever made.

  • want to scare the hell out of yourself? don't sleep for 5 days than listen to this song with headphones in the pitch black.

  • Have you actually done that?

  • or take a hit of acid.

  • its so green

  • @russianpickaxe want to scare the hell out of yourself? listen to this song

  • @russianpickaxe Hrmpf(^^,)

  • I love both:E.Munk's art and radiohead's music,art and life..great

  • Radiohead le agregó expresión a "el grito".

  • I prefer the album version's vocals, drums are waaay better here. Other than that.

  • That was so cool, the best version I've heard and they have all been amazing...thanks!

  • this is an awesome version of it but you have to look at the glastonbury version (2003) it's amazing...look to ur right its in the menu there see?? check it out you wont be sorry!!

  • glastonbury 97 doesn't have nice audio but it's ever better

  • I don't quite agree with some people that this is better than the album version, but its certainly orgasmic.

  • orgasmic

  • this is just E P I C

    i dont have another words

  • the intro is bowed i think, sounds just like Jimmy Page. this is WAY better than the album version.

  • why doesn't he never do that awesome scream?

    :(

  • He'd blow his voice out

  • they never cease to impress. i love you, radiohead!

  • This seriously is better than the album version, but I do miss Thom's impressive scream. Munch's Scream is also the perfect backdrop to the song, it makes me think of panic attacks and anxiety...

  • i love how the instruments all ascend in pitch slowly at the end at the 2nd last 'climbing up the walls', but i wish thom did that awesome scream live

  • Dear god when, where was this

    Fabiocchi

    you

    are

    my

    hero

  • do not cry out or hit the alarm, were friends till we die......the way he sings this one is what makes it....eeeerrriieee melody.

  • This is even better than the studio version.

  • Agreed.

  • 15 blows to the back off your head..15 blows till you die..so lock the kids up safe tonite.

  • Good.

  • satisfying.

  • Its 15 blows to your mind (the second time). but the "till you die" would have been badass.

  • Jouissif

  • wow amazing

  • my good Lord above..thank you for this one..Open your skull and I will be there. Sounds like an explosion..

  • i just canot believe it .the first time i listen to this song, this

  • fantastic live version

  • ah the famous scream picture with Radioheads Climbing up the walls, Good Idea fabiocchi!!!

  • Thanks for the Scary song live.
