I purchased your version of 'Oh Danny Boy' on itunes some time ago (while living in my home country of America). Now I live in Sarajevo, Bosnia. I often like to walk about downtown and through the mountains. During these walks I pass many cemeteries of various religions that are breathtakingly beautiful. Anyway, whenever i pass one, I flip instinctively to your rendition of this song on my ipod as some sort of respectful tribute-as silly as that that might be.

I'm trying this in Bb and having real problems with the high bit..how do you over blow that and get it so sweet?

Thanks. I try to find the balance between over blowing and just barely blowing. Practice finding amount of breath you need to overblow the higher notes then back off 10% at a time until you find the minimun blowing power you need. Also listen to the way I'm easing into the notes. Higher pitches are louder by nature...

This is a Native American flute that has 6 holes based on a pentatonic scale. They either have 5, 6 or 7 holes usually.

My oldest son is named Danny, and when the kids were little, I used to wake them up by singing this song! LOL

My voice is like a train wreck, so it got the kids up and moving fast! (giggle)

I think that maybe the audio was a little off when I watched it and it didn't match up with the video. It just made it look fake. But don't get me wrong, it sounds great!

that could have happened in encoding and compression. If you look around on youtube lots of other videos are like that.

thanks, i think it is due to differnce in frames per second of video vs audio. my $88 camera uses 30fps and i don't know what the audio rate is. the same thing happens with webcams.....rg
