Man the farm I help at has a forklift without the backup beeping. I swear they might get caught for that but otherwise that forklift is gust like theirs.
Pretty cool video, Daniel. I used to run an older manual transmission forklift at work for when the truck would come in with pallets of bagged salt. It took some practice to get good at it. And by the way, that Mercury Panther car is pretty darn clean!
@Seattlecarnut Not as hard as you think. the average person, of average driving ability can usually operate one well with a few days'experience. It also helps to have a good instructor, whom bothers to explain the finer details of how to operate them. The place where I got my forklift licence had a "repeat offender;" 95% get their licence in two days, he's been back 8 times. "Good kid, shocking driver." Noted my instructor.
@Seattlecarnut failed his forklift test 8 times, and they teach rigging and scaffolding in the same building. One of those epic fails was when he backed into a scaffolding assembly, sending people scattering in all directions
They put reverse cameras on cars to help you back up, but I am still waiting for cameras for fork lifts. They can make cameras small enough to put somewhere on the forks to help you drive with a load. Why hasn't anyone come up with that yet??
When I first saw the title I thought it said "My Sister Took My Forklift", I was like WHAT! Your sister reminds me of me when I was that age. You better watch out she mite take ALL your jobs lol. That's a nice forklift wish I had one, would make light work of most anything here.

not bad, but one piece of advice when you have a load tall enough where you have zero visibility you should always drive backwards

Not bad! I've never driven a forklift myself. They look easy to drive when empty, but difficult, to say the least, when fully loaded.
