@SGardner11 It seems you missed everything that happened in the experiment. People were told by someone to kill a person and they did most of the time. There was not a single person forcing them to continue this obviously horrible experiment and yet there it is. 450 volts of death.
There were no gun wielding nazi commanders forcing them simply a man with a clipboard telling them to do it. To say the participants were not murderers is simply a lie to try to make them feel better.

@SGardner11 I was told many of the 'teachers' were actually glad to have partaken in such an experiment once they were told what actually happened. Although it's too distressing to be allowed by legitimate psychologist's experiments today, it still told us so much about ourselves.
@mekkabon check out the original milgram experiment, many of those people were damaged psychologically. many needed counselling and any that got to the higher voltage were glad to apart of it.

...makes ones think about past wars, regardless of their views
The thing lacking in our educational system is knowing when to step up to authority figures. The reason it is not being taught to students in America is because the government does not want us to stand up to authority. They don't want anyone competing with their decision making, but we NEED to. Authority is not always correct and this needs to be taught to us. We are all humans and thus not always correct, even if we are in a white coat!
@Sallyallie89 So you want a school to teach you to not take shit? Are you fucking stupid? The school system is the power that is often wrong. How much lsd would every teacher need to take in order to do something so self-destructive?
@hinro I'm more talking in terms of critical thinking, not necessarily standing up to authority in general, but just questioning. Teach our kids to question and think on their own. For example, just because a man in a white jacket it telling you it is perfectly okay to zap someone, kids need to be taught to think for themselves and have the ability to THINK and say "this is wrong" to the man in the white coat.
@Sallyallie89 You are correct and I would have you on my team anytime. Have a mind of your own and ask the tough questions. I heard somewhere "To be silent when one should speak makes cowards of men" There were a lot of cowards in this experiment and the rest obviously were just getting off on dishing out pain and the false sense of having authority or power over another. Mindless drones.
Thank you for putting this up. It would have been a lot easier on the "teacher" if they could see the "students" face-to-face but then again some people would have possibly continued even then, especially if any authority is over their shoulder (or some type of threat would be administered if they stopped). it makes me think of the Stanford Prison Study to a degree. Sorry to rant like that but thank you.
@Mazziod Milgram himself reproduced the experiment in a context in which teachers could actually see the learner in pain. It was the only situation in which obedience was significantly reduced compared to the original experiment...! Quite fascinating.
Have these "teachers" been in high school. In most science classes, students are taught about ethics in procedures of such experiments. So, the "teachers' should have known that the experiment is fake. Especially given that 450 volts is lethal.
@GhostLinkSC I don't know where you went to highschool, but I never recieved any ethical instructions in school for any subject, except for Moral theology, and a brief disscussion in anatomy (but the anatomy discussion was so brief and shallow that is was not worth anything). I could totally understand how these people can behave this way, and it just goes to show that we need to educate people on ethics and morality.
@TheRekcabOfTheD lol no... it doesn't... everyone knows what is wrong or right. thats why most of them wanted to stop but just because the authority figure said " the test must go on" they kept doing it. they know what is right and wrong, and they had the freedom to walk out anytime. they CHOSE to do the wrong thing because they were told to.
@TheRekcabOfTheD I've received much ethical education.. too much.. to graduate, we're required to take World Views and World Religions, and Judeo-Christian Literature and History. But I suppose its cuz I'm from a christian school...
@TheRekcabOfTheD I don't think you can "educate people on ethics" that way. You'd just be replacing "do what I'm told" with "do what someone else told me."
We need to create a culture where people think for themselves and don't just follow (or expect) instructions. Education is something you do, not something you get. Work is something you create, not a job you're owed. We all should help people, not delegate it to gov't. If society just trains us to follow instructions, this will always work.
@TheRekcabOfTheD The problem with teaching people what is moral is that what is moral is subjective. For example: if morality was taught in the south before the Civil War, there would have been an even stronger consensus by the populous that whites are superior to blacks. Instead, you could teach people critical thinking skills. Because nearly everyone shares empathy, if you taught everyone to question and think critically, you'd get the safest, best moral outcome.
@Thatmakessense356 I understand your point, however ethics is a branch of philosophy dealing with people and the way they are to be treated. Morality can be treated like a science if taught the way the sciences are taught. But, you're probably more on base with critical thining.
@TheRekcabOfTheD And whose ethics and morality do you want to base them on? morality does not exist. Ethics are merely made up when it's convenient to the person trying to preach about them. You seem to think such terms hold meaning when they are truly meaningless.
The sleeper has most fucking certainly NOT awoken =P
This is pretty good indicator of how brain dead people are. If you can do this without any reflection in the moment and not stop it from taking place. You are a zombie. Period.
Knowing to cause harm in this scenario is a pretty good way of finding out something of ones self. Indifference can kill.
@mangostar280 XD well, we do know not all psychopaths becomes serial killers. Though he was pillaging the whole store D: That guy should be kept an eye on.
@Aurudin its repeated to show that nothing has changed since the original experiment in the 60's. you would think people would become more civil but the fact is we havent changed the way we think.
And what is the biggest authority, one that even claims superhuman sources? One that makes it more possible than anything else to convince oneself of not listening to empathy or common sence?
@superfatamusic Although it is true, keep in mind that religion contributes to order in some degree. Have you imagined a world without religion? Religion is what keeps people moral and orderly (although this may seem laughable but continue reading as I may have some "point") because the idea of a person's position in the after life depends on how "moral/good" you are in the human world. For instance, your placement in either heaven or hell in Christianity is affected by your actions on earth.
@superfatamusic (cont.) Because humans are afraid to be "tormented or punished" for eternity and desire to be rewarded for their good actions, they act on a moral basis accordingly. Without religion, we do not know the purpose of life and our world (hypothetically), may be in complete chaos (argument about this is provided above). But again, religion is also hypocritical and a contradiction because it also brings the immorality of humans passively.
@superfatamusic (cont.) People are driven by the desire to be redeemed in the face of God and driven, they commit horrible things (for example the crusades). So yeah, it's really complicated. Religion has the authority to control the people and at the same time, make them "to convince oneself of not listening to empathy or common sense."
I do see your point, and I surtenly appreciate you making it rationally and respectfully (something rare on youtube, sorry to say). But I still believe you are wrong, though, simply because morality outdates religion by far. Religion takes natural morality and places it in a superficial context that serves the masters and leaders of that particular religion. I would go as far as to say you got it inside out; the biggest fallout of human morale started with modern religion and...
@LilFatAzn (cont) ...the transition from hunter/gatherer/Godess cultures to the Farmer/Nomadic/Male-God cultures. We saw the blossoming of slavery, genocide, women supression, disconnection to nature/lack of empathy. Before the punishing male God we had natural empathy and thus natural morality. Morality came long before culture and religion. It can be found in our closest relatives today as well; the apes. It's based on a ballance of empathy and own needs in a world of limited resources.
Wouldn't work on me! I've spat in the face of everybody who's tried to tell me what to do! I was taken out of kindergarten because of that, and I've kept pissing on all "authority figures" ever since too:)
@winterstellar Why is that something you're proud of. I'm guessing because of that you are unemployed? That mentality might work in an experiment like this, but not in real life situations like work, school, elections etc.
@winterstellar You practically did. You told me you piss on all authority figures. That pretty much explains to me why you are unemployed. If you can't work for a boss and do what you're told then it's pretty logical.
Shock to the system It feel good, well alright Like a shock to the system I say yeah I say yeah I say yeah, come on baby Shock to the, shock to the Shock to the system Loud I gotta Shock to the, shock to the Shock to the system Yeah I gotta Shock to the, shock to the Shock to the system Yeah I gotta Shock to the, shock to the Shock to the system You could be king
Obedience play's a big part of this experiment. Think WW2 and the crimes that happened during the holocaust.. Superior's would tell the inferior's to follow orders and so they did. Despite how rational and ethical one can be, if a majority will tell you to do one thing you will, to a certain degree of course.
I have always had a serious problem with authority and am convinced I'd tell them:"Sorry, you'll just have to find somebody else to conduct your questionable experiment with."
Also since I am suspicious and analytical of whatever somebody tells me I would suspect something fishy was going on.
I suppose people don't question or go against "authoritative figures" for convenient reasons and because they believe they would never be used in a "democratic society".
I took part in that experiment (not knowing about it beforehand) and I'm proud to say that I stopped at 60 volts. Mainly because I knew that voltage is enough to cause serious burns and even brain damage.
The reason the Germans were content with Hitler was because of endless propaganda. German history books would´ve looked a lot different had they not lost the war.
You didn´t have the freedom of the internet seeing what was really going on. You were limited to your small environment because you didn´t have any bigger pictures than the one dealt by your community and your government.
Hitler was seen as a great man who created jobs and improved the economy, not a reckless jewkiller in Germany
@TimdeJong That's not true, ant-semitism was acceptable in German society as it was in most of the world so even knowing about it didn't bother a lot of people. It didn't bother the U.S. until Pearl Harbor was bombed.
@anarkilp Hitler didn't invent anti-semitism, it was rampant in Europe long before he came to power. Hitler didn't hide his anit-semitism from the German people, it was his main platform.
The experiment is a farce anyway. Take away the visual and there is no emotional connection. The part where the contestant was so called ´unconscious´ actually lifted the barrier of the audio making it easier for the ´punishers´.
This barely shows people are willing to shock other people if they aren´t confronted with it. When there is no connection between contestant and punisher at all. It has nothing to do with willingness to follow orders at all
So, over 50% of people (in Western culture, at least) will torture, and possibly kill another human being if commanded to do so by a figure of authority? Holy shit.
There is an extraneous variable in this experiment. It is very possible that some of the subjects knows or have heard of this experiment before. If this is so, then the results are inaccurate or invalid.
@Kythos That is true but I can't imagine many of the people knowing of this experiment unless they're scholars of psychology. Plus they'd probably mention it beforehand.
@Kythos "some of the subjects knows or have heard..." they said that last chick already knew about it.
This is just entertainment mind you. I wouldn't expect that high of a degree of scientific validity. The real Milgram experiments produced almost identical results tho
I personally believe that the experiment would be a lot more effective if there was another figure with a higher authority in the room. Like a cop or maybe an extra scientist standing up - since everyone is sitting down.
@0TylerDurden0 Milgram did more experiments later on with stuff like this. He got the experimenter to dress in student type clothes, varied whether the experimenter was in the same room or communicated via intercom etc. Fascinating series of experiments.
has anyone seen that documentary on the downfall of enron? srsli check it out.. speaks volumes about what people will do in the work place such as traders and analysts as long as 'someone' (higher power figure) says its ok to do so..
The experiment is a farce anyway. Take away the visual and there is no emotional connection. The part where the contestant was so called ´unconscious´ actually lifted the barrier of the audio making it easier for the ´punishers´.

@TimdeJong Well it was designed to see who would remain obedient to authority over innocent people. Milgram grew up wondering how Nazi soldiers could remain so loyal to Hitler that they would murder millions of innocent Jews, who had no connection to them, in any way. That's why it's a random person. If there was a connection, however, things would change. American soldiers had a negative connection with Bin Laden, so they wanted him dead. However, these are random people who don't need that.
is this a part from some kind of show? because the moderator said he chose some of those people to continue the experiment and it also showed footage of some experiments they had to do in the past. if it is, can you please tell me the name of it? :D i would really like to watch the whole thing.
The scary part is when they don't make sounds anymore. This is a good lesson that authoritys are not always right as we get taught right from when we start school, and nothing about critical thinking.
@archis84 Well, they trust the "scientist", because he looks like an authority. But they have been said that it's 450 volts. They would realize that there is a big danger.
''They would realize that there is a big danger.'' Electricity is a diffucult thing. I dont know it good as well. I know that made damage depends on combination of volts and ampers (one value says nothing). So called ''non lethal weapons'' have voltage of 1000kV or 2000kV. By this huge number 450V do not seem so much. Point is electricity confuses people ( is it high or is it not). In things which I do not understand, I would trust the autority.
+ I would like to see results of this experiment where instead of using electricity they would use a hammer bashing head with max value of like 1 tonn. What would be the result, 65% too? I find it unfair that people are put in confused situation in which (imo) the most rational choise is to trust the autority. And If they trust, they are evil nazi brainwashed sheep people.
@archis84 Well, I guess that WOULDN'T be a 65% result, because they'd know they're dealing damage. This "not long-term form of punishment" is one that is the same as the Nazis that had to sign papers when they knew that when they would, someone would die. I think that this is the major difference.
"Believe nothing whether where you read it or who said it, whether If I said it unless it agrees with your own reason and your common sense" -Gautama Buddha
So the results of the experiment is that most people are actually "sheeple". Not surprising seeing what's going on in Washington today. We have the extreme "shock" of a 14 trillion dollar debt, Defecits on part with previous administrations budgets; and no perceivable end in sight. Now we have the president asking to raise taxes to cut the gap. Well, truth is you can close the gap without taxing 50% of ever single earner in America. Do you think Mr. Obama would do that?
1) if you go along with this experiment without questioning authority and continue shocking the subject you are most likely a bad person with a weak will to question authority.
2) if you go along with this experiment while questioning authority you are most likely a good person with a weak will.
3) if you question this experiment and authority and you refuse to continue harming the learner than you are most likely a good person with a strong will.
@xterror24 Actually, they asked a sample of people how they would act if they were in the situation, they all said they'd stop, but the study found that people don't actually stop when there is an authoritative figure asking them to continue. And since these study randomly recruited people, they're not just ONE type of people who would follow these orders. This is a study on obedience not personality, it shows that all types of people obey to a certain degree (Statistically significant).
@Tiffiyim They were also separated and cut off from view of each other so the test subjects could only hear what the consequences of their actions were. I'm sure the results would have been different if the people could directly see, hear, smell, touch the person they were "electrocuting" and somehow taste how their actions were affecting the people that were being "electrified". It would have been a lot more overwhelming.
@blackyblackblack505 Perhaps. But did you see how long it took to convince over 50% of them to go all the way? Less than a day. In fact, getting there, being briefed and starting the experiment must have surely taken less than an hour. They didn't even know the 'doctor'. Now imagine some sort of ideology behind it, more time, charismatic instructors and dozens of scientists endorsing the experiment and I would bet that the majority of them would fry someone right in front of their eyes.
@blackyblackblack505 : They also had test were the "teacher" was standing right beside the "student", and sometimes had to take they're hand on the place the electric was. It was 4 kinds of studies
@Tiffiyim : Not at all. Korea war camps and everyday experience show us that about 10% to 15% of any population is very resistive to authority influence. This is more than sufficient to raise concience of the others in normal conditions (which is why the resistive people were put aside in Korea and shot down). The Milgram experiment happened in the early sixties, when mot people did what they were told. Today, they do not even obey REASONABLE orders ! :-D
@Paganel75 That being said, of course, nothing in the present education, except probably in expensive private colleges, is done to help anybody in developing a strong conscience and personality. It might be intentional. It might also be due to incompetence.
@Tiffiyim Right. I dont think people really got the point of the Milgram experiments. People always "I would never do that" its like well...you sure about that?
Frankly I'm suprised they were able to do this again, its so highly unethical because of the suffering and anguish it causes. I get the feeling this was done with no approval from any scientific review board
@Tiffiyim Well if I was being tested and I had low knowledge of lethal electricity and someone "official" in a white coat told me to continue, I probably would, since its an experiment held in an official institution in a controlled area.
It makes you feel like "Hey he has probably more knowledge about this thing than I do, so if he says its okay and nothing bad can happen it's probably true"
And most of all, its not common someone "official" would like to harm anyone. It makes you feel safe
We just watched this video in our psychology class today. Our class discussed exactly what @Tiffiyim talked about in their comment. This was a pretty interesting thing to watch.
If someone, ANYONE had told me I would be administering electric shocks to people, I never would have agreed in the first place. WTF is wrong with the human race?
I would have been willing to administer the shocks under only one condition: If I knew the amperage was low enough to be safe. People are shocked by tens of thousands of volts and survive easily - because the amps were low. I would hope I would stop because of the screaming, of course.. but I guess you never really knew until you are in that situation. Im sure everyone would claim they wouldn't go to the max.
@shjtyu "how dumb most people have BECOME"? this worked 50 years ago and the results probably would have been the same or worst 500, 1000 or 5000 years ago. your comment is dumb xD
@ashhole820 No I'm pretty sure you mean the Zimbardo prison study, another study on obedience, I'm pretty sure the participants in the Milgrim study were fine after they've been debriefed.
Volts doesn't kill you, Its amps. 20 milliampres at only 40 volts is lethal. However a commercial taser gun is set at 0.20 milliampres and delievers between 300-500 volts. So if this machine was set at 0.20 mA and you got a 450 volt shock it would be similar with being shot with a taser. However it is very cold & calculated and unethical, considering the pain that repeated electrical shocks at increasing voltages.
While a volts aren't typically the cause of death from an electrical shock. It is possible to kill with them. High voltage shocks are associated with severe damage to the body including: 1st degree burns, and extensive nervous system damage. Volts most certainly can kill, however yes it is true that electrocution is usually due to the amps.
Ethics are a bitch. Kind of ticks me off that people get executed for their horrific acts. Seems like a total waste for science and psychology. Those are people that gave up their human rights when they violated those of another. To the point where they have been considered unfixable to boot. I seriously think deathrow should be replaced by "unethical" experimenting row.. Don't you want to know what happens when someone thinks they were executed, but were actually just anaesthetized-
and then put in a huge dirt pit without any lighting? They could just observe him for like forty-eight hours, with nightvision cameras that have been mounted high up on the walls. and then anaesthetize him again without him finding out. and putting him back in a cell and act like nothing ever happened.

Sorry to rant like that but thank you.
evieness7 3 months ago
Its a great study, but I would love to see the results if the teacher could actually see the learner in pain.
Mazziod 3 months ago
@Mazziod Milgram himself reproduced the experiment in a context in which teachers could actually see the learner in pain. It was the only situation in which obedience was significantly reduced compared to the original experiment...! Quite fascinating.

Have these "teachers" been in high school. In most science classes, students are taught about ethics in procedures of such experiments. So, the "teachers' should have known that the experiment is fake. Especially given that 450 volts is lethal.
GhostLinkSC 3 months ago
@GhostLinkSC I don't know where you went to highschool, but I never recieved any ethical instructions in school for any subject, except for Moral theology, and a brief disscussion in anatomy (but the anatomy discussion was so brief and shallow that is was not worth anything). I could totally understand how these people can behave this way, and it just goes to show that we need to educate people on ethics and morality.
TheRekcabOfTheD 3 months ago 17
@TheRekcabOfTheD lol no... it doesn't... everyone knows what is wrong or right. thats why most of them wanted to stop but just because the authority figure said " the test must go on" they kept doing it. they know what is right and wrong, and they had the freedom to walk out anytime. they CHOSE to do the wrong thing because they were told to.
RaitoDenki 3 months ago
@TheRekcabOfTheD I've received much ethical education.. too much.. to graduate, we're required to take World Views and World Religions, and Judeo-Christian Literature and History. But I suppose its cuz I'm from a christian school...
canucmesucker 3 months ago
@TheRekcabOfTheD I don't think you can "educate people on ethics" that way. You'd just be replacing "do what I'm told" with "do what someone else told me."
We need to create a culture where people think for themselves and don't just follow (or expect) instructions. Education is something you do, not something you get. Work is something you create, not a job you're owed. We all should help people, not delegate it to gov't. If society just trains us to follow instructions, this will always work.
notme222 2 months ago
@TheRekcabOfTheD The problem with teaching people what is moral is that what is moral is subjective. For example: if morality was taught in the south before the Civil War, there would have been an even stronger consensus by the populous that whites are superior to blacks. Instead, you could teach people critical thinking skills. Because nearly everyone shares empathy, if you taught everyone to question and think critically, you'd get the safest, best moral outcome.
Thatmakessense356 2 months ago
@Thatmakessense356 I understand your point, however ethics is a branch of philosophy dealing with people and the way they are to be treated. Morality can be treated like a science if taught the way the sciences are taught. But, you're probably more on base with critical thining.
TheRekcabOfTheD 2 months ago
@TheRekcabOfTheD And whose ethics and morality do you want to base them on? morality does not exist. Ethics are merely made up when it's convenient to the person trying to preach about them. You seem to think such terms hold meaning when they are truly meaningless.

And what is the biggest authority, one that even claims superhuman sources? One that makes it more possible than anything else to convince oneself of not listening to empathy or common sence?
RELIGION.
superfatamusic 4 months ago
@superfatamusic Although it is true, keep in mind that religion contributes to order in some degree. Have you imagined a world without religion? Religion is what keeps people moral and orderly (although this may seem laughable but continue reading as I may have some "point") because the idea of a person's position in the after life depends on how "moral/good" you are in the human world. For instance, your placement in either heaven or hell in Christianity is affected by your actions on earth.
LilFatAzn 4 months ago
@superfatamusic (cont.) Because humans are afraid to be "tormented or punished" for eternity and desire to be rewarded for their good actions, they act on a moral basis accordingly. Without religion, we do not know the purpose of life and our world (hypothetically), may be in complete chaos (argument about this is provided above). But again, religion is also hypocritical and a contradiction because it also brings the immorality of humans passively.
LilFatAzn 4 months ago
@superfatamusic (cont.) People are driven by the desire to be redeemed in the face of God and driven, they commit horrible things (for example the crusades). So yeah, it's really complicated. Religion has the authority to control the people and at the same time, make them "to convince oneself of not listening to empathy or common sense."
LilFatAzn 4 months ago
@LilFatAzn
I would go as far as to say you got it inside out; the biggest fallout of human morale started with modern religion and...
superfatamusic 4 months ago
@LilFatAzn (cont) ...the transition from hunter/gatherer/Godess cultures to the Farmer/Nomadic/Male-God cultures. We saw the blossoming of slavery, genocide, women supression, disconnection to nature/lack of empathy. Before the punishing male God we had natural empathy and thus natural morality. Morality came long before culture and religion. It can be found in our closest relatives today as well; the apes. It's based on a ballance of empathy and own needs in a world of limited resources.

You didn´t have the freedom of the internet seeing what was really going on. You were limited to your small environment because you didn´t have any bigger pictures than the one dealt by your community and your government.

However, these are random people who don't need that.

trapedd 9 months ago
Weird, wierd. I dont know what to think.
- On one hand you should consider if you are damaging (requires knowladge, like in electricity) other man and should stop.
-On other hand, people need to trust each other. People who can't trust, cooperate with each other make no progress, no good.
People are stuck between those 2 points. And I am not sure, if the high % is bad (as many here interpretise) or good. It is as it is in my view.
archis84 9 months ago
@archis84 Well, they trust the "scientist", because he looks like an authority. But they have been said that it's 450 volts. They would realize that there is a big danger.
AdamsTeinz 9 months ago
@AdamsTeinz
In things which I do not understand, I would trust the autority.
archis84 9 months ago
@AdamsTeinz
+ I would like to see results of this experiment where instead of using electricity they would use a hammer bashing head with max value of like 1 tonn. What would be the result, 65% too? I find it unfair that people are put in confused situation in which (imo) the most rational choise is to trust the autority. And If they trust, they are evil nazi brainwashed sheep people.
archis84 9 months ago
@archis84 Well, I guess that WOULDN'T be a 65% result, because they'd know they're dealing damage. This "not long-term form of punishment" is one that is the same as the Nazis that had to sign papers when they knew that when they would, someone would die. I think that this is the major difference.

xterror24 9 months ago
@xterror24 Actually, they asked a sample of people how they would act if they were in the situation, they all said they'd stop, but the study found that people don't actually stop when there is an authoritative figure asking them to continue. And since these study randomly recruited people, they're not just ONE type of people who would follow these orders. This is a study on obedience not personality, it shows that all types of people obey to a certain degree (Statistically significant).
Tiffiyim 9 months ago 49
@Tiffiyim They were also separated and cut off from view of each other so the test subjects could only hear what the consequences of their actions were. I'm sure the results would have been different if the people could directly see, hear, smell, touch the person they were "electrocuting" and somehow taste how their actions were affecting the people that were being "electrified". It would have been a lot more overwhelming.
blackyblackblack505 8 months ago 8
@blackyblackblack505 Perhaps. But did you see how long it took to convince over 50% of them to go all the way? Less than a day. In fact, getting there, being briefed and starting the experiment must have surely taken less than an hour. They didn't even know the 'doctor'. Now imagine some sort of ideology behind it, more time, charismatic instructors and dozens of scientists endorsing the experiment and I would bet that the majority of them would fry someone right in front of their eyes.

@Tiffiyim Right. I dont think people really got the point of the Milgram experiments. People always "I would never do that" its like well...you sure about that?
Frankly I'm suprised they were able to do this again, its so highly unethical because of the suffering and anguish it causes. I get the feeling this was done with no approval from any scientific review board
zzyzx0788 4 months ago
@Tiffiyim Well if I was being tested and I had low knowledge of lethal electricity and someone "official" in a white coat told me to continue, I probably would, since its an experiment held in an official institution in a controlled area.
It makes you feel like "Hey he has probably more knowledge about this thing than I do, so if he says its okay and nothing bad can happen it's probably true"
And most of all, its not common someone "official" would like to harm anyone. It makes you feel safe

However it is very cold & calculated and unethical, considering the pain that repeated electrical shocks at increasing voltages.
umahuma4 10 months ago
@umahuma4
