well one of the reasons why ppl say "sell out." Is because the majority of the time bands that "sell out" change totally. Like they will gain a pop sound or whatever to broaden the audience. I really dont think ppl get mad if they go with a major label. I think its more so when the band changes what they used to stand for, just for money and they dont care about music anymore.
