@chinchillawrangler Yeah I read all about that same case. Definitely sounds like taking the vehicle beyond its intended purposes, and they also had heavy loads in the back. Though I'm not sure if Ford has specifically stated the maximum capacities of the truck. To my knowledge, the crew cab version is unaffected by the same frame bending. I mean they do specify the travel range of the shocks, which is about 12" in rear and 12" in front, so yeah just one of those things I guess.

You know I was thinking about the frame-bending problem several drivers of the '09-'10 extended cabs were having. They all took place in a desert-road racing atmosphere. Interesting how Ford chose to use this kind of atmosphere and at seemingly lower speeds to maybe divert the marketing campaign a bit.

Not knocking negatively in any way, this is probably going to be my next vehicle purchase. Just happen to think maybe the change of scenery came from marketing department for a reason.

Better off with 2012 XLT 4x4 HD SuperCab 8ft. box with the SAME 6.2L v8 for $10K less or add $10K aftermarket goodies......again, a concrete mudder novelty
