  • I'll miss gerards shyness during live performances. Never a showman, yet so talented.

  • Foda!

  • lead singer looks like eddie murphy (1986)

  • I Knew about them because of entourage. I Love their music not because of entourage but because they are unique.

  • @AverageJop25 same.

  • this shit is sooooooooo good! love it!

  • gerard is such a showoff rip

  • Fuck everything.

  • @SeveranLicht honestly no idea, was drunk and had completely forgotten posting that until now, haha.

  • This song gives me chills!! it is soooo amazing!!

  • Fucking amazing!!

  • Why is Gerard always facing the box?

  • @Svampard he had a fear of crowds, and coulnt play if he faced them

  • @CrotalusKid1 he used to busk though didn't he?

  • I was supposed to see them in Denver. Then they cancel their show. I was pissed and derogatory towards them. Then I hear about their bassist passing away. And immediately felt like a tool. Forgive me, TV On The Radio. You're art is beautiful!

  • ah man..... just too beautiful....

  • Love the band "TV on the RADIO" I sure hope they are better than this live. `cause this was bad.. you ask why 35(36) dont like this. its because 36 people are´nt tone deaf!

  • @TheEvensen It's not about hitting every tone exactly right, its about delivering the feeling, which they do times a hundred

  • @gwlord True, what you say, I saw them live at Roskilde and They where awesome!

  • Love the band "TV on the RADIO" I sure hope they are better than this live. `cause this was bad.. you ask why 35(36) dont like this. its because 36 people are´nt tone deaf!

  • 35 deaf people watched this video i guess

  • how can 35 not like this ? must be deaf and only looking at the picture i guess

  • big LOVE

  • WOW!

  • Amazing ..Kick ass.amazing..

  • omg.. I'm so glad i discovered these guys....... they got their own sound, love it!

  • @kernowrock555 Same here. I wish I discovered them earlier... but one of them just died. wtf.

  • @AlbertWesker420 what bands do you listen to?

  • @AlbertWesker420 go play world of warcraft you fuckin loser

  • @AlbertWesker420 Frankly, I support your right to express an opinion regarding music, but being glad someone is dead? Grow up..

  • @AlbertWesker420 settle down there

  • FIrst time I watched, a music played in the end of the video, something like 'I won't neet that stress in my life'.

Anyone know the name of that song?

  • So much passion and energy contributed by each member, rarely see this kind of performances anymore. R.I.P Gerry

  • why does the bass player always face the back?

  • @ColtyRamone feedback, also he's shy

  • @ColtyRamone stage fright

  • @9494blahblah lol its kindof bad to be playing on TV and be facing the back. the rest of the band doesnt do that so why does he need to do that? seriously hes playing bass, most casual listeners dont listen to the bass. it looks really lame. but luckily, the rest of the band is rockin enough to make up for it.

  • @ColtyRamone he's watching the drums for the timing like most good bassists do.

  • @hellofinch he shouldnt have to face the back to do that..he should know the song without looking back the whole time

  • Sitting here, listening to this and crying. I just got back and find out about Gerard's passing on the 20th. It hurts to hear it. Thank you, sir, for all the amazing music. Thank you for being amazing. Thank you, and all of TV on the Radio, for saving me countless times. <3

  • what the heck is the bass player's problem? lol

  • @nickdoesntcare Gerard Smith did like to pay extra attention to his amp. Unfortunately his problem was lung cancer which he passed away from this morning 4/20/11. We'll miss you Gerard.

  • @nickdoesntcare he died

  • this is better than the record

  • the bassist is not starring at the sun! :))

  • the bassist if facing the wrong way

  • @Anduza17 im sure anybody with taste will disagree with you. they're not the critics darlings for no reason. p.s. wanker.

  • @ThomsenKA Over me.

  • I love the fact, on record, TV on the radio are kinda ethereal and then live, they just tear your face off.

  • @seniorclapshishands for real

  • @seniorclapshishands Thats the way it should be.....

  • damn this song is WAY better live!!!

  • Anyone else notice that (thankfully) they must have turned Kyp Malone's guitar OFF or way down so you couldn't hear it? He's not even playing anything.

  • What a unique sound, these men are a 'class act'

  • i want to grow a fro like that dude on guitar

  • @telephonic

like the dude on bass, you mean?

  • @YacubH2961 no the dude with the fro is the rythmn guitarist.... the bass player is at the back facing the drummer

  • think bout it, they come from brooklyn, n tht aint no lovely place, it can be fuckin rough, but yet they do this music, they aint complainin bout where they come from, they wasnt swayed and influenced by the other asshole "gz" around them, those "gz" fail at life, and so they gotta act hard cos they aint got any other option, ther insecure, these guys just do their thing and its impressive, as a white guy to see black men doin this music, where they come from etc, brilliant.

  • rock on brothers this is a good influence on all those fuckin lil punk ass whining "Gz" who complain bout coming from a rough area, man look at these guys right here, they come from brooklyn and look what they doin, they aint spreadin tht rap shit, further doomin those youngens into goin into gangs thinkin its cool n shit, these came from tht area and done well for themselves, impressive. More impressive than any "gangsta" this is real talent, take note lil brothers these r real men.

  • lol 0:29

  • such a deep song

  • tv on the radio on the tv on the internet on my laptop. booya.

  • halogenke680 please understand that the majority of American Rock music is based off of Blues, Soul, Gospel and Rhythm & Blues( Black people especially Black men influences) acts. If you were not so ignorant and suffering from whatever childhood bully moment you are having, you would see that.

  • to the posts below this...get a life guys, put down the dictionaries, take a break from youtube. On a positive note...this band rocks, so glad i found them randomly today. I love when that happens!

  • @AlbertWesker420 yeaaahhh playerrrrrrrrrrr

  • @AlbertWesker420 Wow, could you make your lack of intelligence any more obvious? Does someone really need to point out to you that there is a massive amount of human beings present on this planet we are NOT all going to have the same taste in music? Really? Your racial slurs are also completely unnecessary and only make you appear to be 13 years old. Grow up. Spend your time on something a little more positive and productive and maybe you won't care so much about a band you think sucks.

  • @humancircuitry Actually, your attempt to make yourself appear to be articulate is rather insulting. Only a vexatious pre-teen would call somebody a "13 year old" on the internet which would thus insinuate that the person saying the phrase is, indeed, older than 13. I'm confident in saying that you are just a little kid trying to appear as a ferocious yet ostentatious lion over the internet.

  • Comment removed

  • @AlbertWesker420 If only you knew. I am anything but a lion, and probably older than you, unfortunately. In case you didn't notice, there are a limit to how many characters that can be typed into this small box, or my rant would be decidedly longer. I didn't actually say you were a 13 year old, I said you appear to be one since most people who leave insulting comments are either that age or have the same maturity level. Ever heard of the phrase "Whatever floats your boat?" Think positive.

  • @AlbertWesker420 I really do love it when people try to look smart by using words like "vexatious" and "ostentatious" to try to insult people over the internet...and really just end up looking like morons.

  • tv on the radio on the tv on the internet FTW

  • @alexgillespie1 Hell yeah man !

  • @alexgillespie1 and now also on the phone while on the bus.

  • Reason why the internet exists

  • Props to the sound crew for that performance. The album version doesn't make my ears bleed.

  • The one on Letterman is miles better

  • Kyp is ruff and tuff with his afro puff! I love these guys!!!!

  • Tunde Adebimpe kinda sounds like caleb followill on this song

  • why is that guy facing towards the other way? lol.

  • @mclovin14625 i think he has a severe case of stage fright, or atleast thats what i read

  • @adrainthemainvein

drinkin' + sunglasses is great solution 4 that

  • @mclovin14625 he's playing facing toward the amp, so he can sustain the feedback from his guitar.

  • @smarts510 actually he is just not into being on tv you can see this on other performances. you arent going to get much from a bass by facing the amp

  • @mclovin14625 bass trying to keep with the drums

  • SO MUCH WIN.

  • TV on the radio is THE SHIT!

  • CROSS!!!! the street from your STORE!!!! front cemetery HEAR!!! me hailing from INSIDE!!! and realize.... Best line

  • Whatta power! :D hahaha!

    I'm just laughing to myself.

    Laughing, dancing, singing, enjoying!

  • @mrmojorisen22222 it's Sitek

  • Comment removed

  • @ChunkBGSU im pretty sure youre kidding (i laughed) but just in case the bass player has anxiety and doesnt like crowds so he never faces them so that he can play without fucking up

  • @ChunkBGSU RIP GERARD

  • @ChunkBGSU he's just past away.. condolences...

  • @ChunkBGSU and now has passed on 4-20-2011 RIP Gerard...Thanks for all of the brilliant music over the years ...see you in the next

  • @ChunkBGSU he just died, you should probably take this comment down....asshole

  • brilliant! freakin perfect :DD

  • rivers cuomo on guitar, cool.

  • @Jof1987 its Dave Stiek man

  • @MrMojoRisin22222 I know, was just kiddin' :)

  • outstanding performance! :X soul!

  • that is the fro to end all fros.

  • This is fucking Music! Great Group..

  • i would just like to say that kyp malone (large fuzzy guitarist) possibly might be the coolest looking mofo i have ever laid mine eyes upon

    and he plays guitar.

    VICTORY!

  • ah shit; I thought it'd be an angry samoans cover.... ;p

  • So they sound good live, dare I say better than Radiohead

  • @SwitchBladesgirls

    : O infidel

  • @SwitchBladesgirls dont even think about saying that

  • @JSAUSEdaBOSS

Ok Radiohead is one of my favorite bands, but I think TV on Radio sounds better live. But Long Live Radiohead

  • They so much energy when they do live shows!

  • so good

  • note the trees because the dirt is temporary more to mine than fact face name and monetary be what you will and then thrown down your life oh it's a damned fine game and we can play all night beat the skins and let the loose lips kiss you clean quietly pour out like light like light, like answering the sun
  • No I like the album version too but this is cool it gives off a dance vibes

  • Do they have any live albums?

  • @cablecarcrash if youre talking about him over reaching his vocals...its intentional...

not sure what youre not getting...but they sound great

  • @cablecarcrash you mean best live band ever.

  • i like this song but i dont like it live lol

  • holy beard what a fucking beard.

  • Now that's how a beard should be done.

  • this gave me chills, these guys should be rich.

  • love this version and also the version of Wolf Like Me on Letterman!!! like the album but here it feels like a perfect sketch full of energy, the album versions strive too much for some sort of over analyzed perfection. i hope this band grows to to RULE the music scene!

  • tv on the radio on the tv on the internet

  • one of the bands which is live even better.

  • this is epic

  • anyone knows the chords?

  • This song is a melody orgasm to me

  • why does he use 2 mics?

  • 0:36

  • 0:37

  • They really dropped the bass right out of the mix. I really dont like this version at all. The main drive of the original was the overdistorted bass and instead we get a double dose of delay/reverb guitar and almost no bass. Kyps high vocal thing should have cont. all the way till the end vocals sound way better when Kyp is accompanying with Tunde. I think theres a little competition here between band members to see who can be the loudest. The bass player and drummer arent having any of it.

  • this is an amazing song!

  • the bass player must be a little camera shy haha

this is a fantastic song, tho

  • @davidor77 His voice is incredible, maybe not in this performance, sounds abit strained. Amateur effort? Please, educate yourself before you talk complete nonsense, GUY.

  • @davidor77 oh yeah... hes really not trying at all is he.

  • Visit our channel to check out our cover of Wolf Like Me by TV On The Radio performed live!
