I saw the Valaam monks in performance in my town about 5 or 6 years ago. Orthodoxy wasn't on my radar then, but I think going to that concert may had been one of several seeds planted that finally led me to this beautiful faith.

Perhaps the greatest blessing of my life is my Eastern Orthodox Faith. This is my favorite chant in Orthodoxy, and hearing the Valaam sing it so beautifully warms my heart. God bless all those who continue to protect the truth and let no one forget the 20+ million Orthodox Christians who were massacred in Russia under the Soviet Union and the continued persecution of orthodox in the middle east. It's really a holy chant! It was composed by St. Nektarios of Aegina (a greek island) ! The chant is called "Agni Parthene"/ "O Pure Virgin". U can also listen it in original, I always hear it and sing when I pray to The Pure Virgin! Albanian Orthodox
