Wow wow! Curt has been a pal and inspiration to me as well. Amazin' work on those skins Curt! Alphonse has an amazing history as a total legend and I think he helped perk our Pastor to go to town on Flute Juice.

Alphonse you'll always have my respect and love and friendship. Thank you for reaching out to me when you didn't have to. When I was a teenager I would've never thought I would ever meet you let alone become friends with you. You've been an inspiration, mentor and a good friend.WOW and they call ME the pastor??? Here's me on flute playing my composition " Flute Juice" with my funky left-handed drum student Pastor Curt McDonald on May 28, 2011.  He had fusion surgery on his back and spine 12 years ago causing him excruciating pain. This was his first time playing the drums since his surgery 12 years ago!

Kevin has known old Pastor Curt since jr. high school. he would come over and we would listen to Larry Coryell and Alphonse Mouzon with the 11th House Level One (if you dont have that album...GET IT!!! ALPHONSE'S PLAYING IS EXCELLENT ON IT) at my house...we were just kids but we knew good music. Thanks Kevin for all the nice comments and thank you even more for your friendship. What an honor this was to play with a jazz legend like Alphonse Mouzon...even IF he spells my last name wrong!!! LOL . It was one of the greatest days of my life. Please be kind about my drumming folks...I hadn't touched a drumset (before this recording) in 12 years due to spinal surgery and fusion...no not the music kind..but funny nonetheless. Alphonse graciously allowed me to work with him. Thanks again my friend!
