@troy28790 You have to take into account that this is 12MP pictures, and not the 5MP you will be handling on for example an iPhone 4. At the same time, this is on a ~600MHz CPU, so when it comes to something like this, you should be comparing it to the HTC Wildfire, which from my experience is more laggy, and it's only handling 5MP pictures.

@Aightnigguh8D nothing whatsoever, to check something small, you have to open the app, to get music you have to sync with itunes, on 1 computer you can only use 1 computer!!!! when i had reinstall my os on my laptop, all my bloody music on my iphone 3gs went and i had to reget everything including my playlists and music ratrings!!!!!!! i hate apple soo much

The graphics processor is one of the best/most powerful out there.

What you are looking at is a prototype that is running a fw which is 3.5 months old. The latest fw is MUCH faster and better.

You see, all these android devices and other such phones with 1GHz processor dont even have a GPU. they use the CPU for graphics processing and all it does it increase the battery drainage. N8 has a really powerful GPU that takes load off the CPU and uses less power. Why not settle with that coz you'd get the same speed with better battery life and low price.

as on pc flash needs more ram and processor. where symbian os is litest, fastest and stable at latest firmware.

so, gaming graphics becomes more smoother. and faster. (search e3 benchmark)

symbian apps are developed in c++ like pc softwares + have java support.

So it can run much more programmes like quack 3 (old pc game). flash dont have this ability.

Man, developing at Symbian C++ is for aliens, cyborgs and such. Most of those new Symbian^3 applications are made in QT, which is an easy to use and extremely 'funny to program tool', but it kind of loses some power.

@probulgarian I disagree. You haven't seen N8 gaming capabilities, it produces and renders more triangles than the iPhone 4 does. N8 has a REALLY powerful GPU and so it can run INSANE games smoothly. And about the HD video, you still haven't seen samples? In fact, they made a music video completely shot on N8 in Israel and the quality is again, INSANE! it's a lot better. Plus, it was a proto! So think what the retail device would be able to do!

@chanhny apple (POORLY) copied mutitasking from Nokia (Nokia has REAL multitasking), they copied video calling, it copied video editing from Nokia (N95 came out BEFORE the 1st iPhone and it still had a 5 MP camera WITH VIDEO EDITING!) iOS is NOT an open source OS. Nokia is THE KING when it comes to multimedia. oh and btw, just so that you know, Apple DIDN'T invent multitouch. this technology was invented back in 1983 when Apple wasnt even around! Exactly man, Nokia has been making phones for 2 decades now and it's amazing how they make great phones at a really low price! And even when the N8 is a mid-end phone and iPhone 4 is a high end phone, N8 kills iPhone 4 in almost every aspect. Now think what the future MeeGo phones will do? They will be the true high-end phones. They will just kill the competition. And the demo videos of MeeGo UI is just PHENOMENAL!
