i watched this vid like a year ago when i just started longboarding and i was like wow but now i can do every single one of these tricks! lol i wish i lived near someone that were as good as yall so i could have so competetion lol
@Duanka007 Yes, Paris trucks will fit an LBL. I'd tell you more about the Bhangra but I haven't gotten mine yet! From what I've heard, it's a great board.
I have been trying at it for a week now and I don't see much progress. Idk if i am just really slow or it takes a longtime to get it down. How long until you eventually saw some progress like 2-3 parking spaces?
@emgeemann I have been trying at it for a week now and I don't see much progress. Idk if i am just really slow or it takes a longtime to get it down. How long until you eventually saw some progress like 2-3 parking spaces?
@FrettedFretless It's all down to gradual progression man. There's no need to force a trick. Just keep enjoying the ride while trying the trick when you feel like it. The more your body gets used to it, the easier it gets. For example, I was trying to get the ghostride kickflip down so hard once, I just ended up frustrated, so I decided tp stop forcing myself to practice it and instead enjoyed the ride. When the timing was right, I just tried it again, and *bam* I landed it with no sweat.
im looking to a dancing board but i cant really decide which to get the OSD or the dancer. i have a dervish now flex 2. but im looking to get one of those two larger boards. which would u reccomend for dancing/ and doing tricks tht involve the taill and nose.?
ight i weigh like 165. looking at the dancer i don't know what flex i should get. I've ridden flex 1 and it was extremely stiff so i was thinking flex 2 but i don't want to be bouncing around like a mofo. any suggestions?
@DerekGustafson614 Depends on your preferences dude. I ride a flex 1 and love it, but I also like the feel of the flex 2. To be honest, I got the flex 1 because it was posted in a forum at a good price and I jumped on it. My friends the Stones (in this video) ride flex 2s and love them too, but I've come to prefer the stiffer flex to be honest. Feels more solid on jump tricks and I get bounced off less - I think you'll be happy either way, the flex 1 still has plenty of flex but is def stiffer
@CWilli245 yeah you'll be fine, that's a good flex for the dancer I just prefer it a little stiffer but I love riding flex 2's as well (I'm about 160-165)
how's the LBL? I just ordered an OSD, I've been riding my gay sector 9 sunset and it's a drop through deck so my dancing on it sucks but I've learned to deal with it. do you like the OSD?
@Riley650 - I love it. Although it's a shorter, wider and flexier custom version of the OSD. It's almost identical specs to the komodo just without the cutouts, but it's an awesome board and Larry is the man
@123ringwormz123 - word man, definitely expensive. although it's not hard to find discounts and great deals if you look around a bit. By the looks of your skate vids on your page you could get $100 off a complete through any of the 4 Loaded challenge series no problem
@123ringwormz123 - 10 tricks you need to film and learn. They're all overdue, but you can still get $100 off a complete / $50 off a deck from Loaded if you submit your video and you land everything. Series 1 would be a breeze for you.
@RealEros1 - You have a point, but shipping can add up if you go components. I'd recommends buying used off Silverfish, lots of great boards & deals.
And yeah, ultimate you'll enjoy it far more than the price tag!!
@Danman1475 - They're basically beefed up, blinged-out Paris 180s. I personally love Paris 180s, they're the cleanest cast trucks made w/ great ride characteristics. So basically, if you like Paris 180s you'll like the Coltons even more since the axles are stronger & less likely to bend, and they look awesome. And when you buy a set, Adam gets some money so you'll help support him putting out sick videos & products. That said, Randal 180s are dope too. Comes down to preference
@DaneshRustomjee4 - yeah you're probably right, but they need more than just a leash. it's a vicious dog that attacks everyone that passes it, I know a lot of people that have been bitten by it. They need an electric fence, very badly
@DaneshRustomjee4 - yeah it's bitten at least three of my friends, and would have bitten me a few times if I'd been on foot not on my board. I'd say don't get extra plys on the OSD, it's pretty stiff as-is. Depends on your weight though, but I'm 170 and my friends' stock OSDs are a little stiff for my liking, I might suggest the flexier bambooo model
btw does the metal cap that separates the bushing and the nut on the kingpin ever come in contact with the hangar? cause i know Gullwing Charger trucks do.. and i dont want to have small metal dents in the side of hangar where the bushings are held. Everytime my friend turns on his Charger theres a metal clicking noise.. so we had to flip the metal cap. =[
I haven't had that problem with Paris or Holey trucks. I know the pivot cup can get very worn out and sloppy which could allow for the extra travel that is leading to the problem you're talking about.
What you can do is just put on a flat upper washer to replace the cup washer. Flipping it like you did is also fine. Check longboardskater[dot]com for flat washers, free shipping & cheap prices!
The stock duro (ruby red) is 88a. The ones I was using in this vid were 95a & 99a. (Stick w/ the ruby unless you weigh a LOT/want a stiffer, less carvy ride)
I prefer the Loaded Dancer. I have both and love both, but feels more comfortable to do manuals/nosemanuals, shove its, etc... on the Loaded Dancer, as it's made with these tricks in mind.
If you have the opportunity to get both, get both. I learned on the OSD and will always ride it.
