  • thanks for all of your jams u will always b the best god bless u all still thinking of u john

  • this stuff is timeless. i liked in high school and almost 25 years later i still like it. seeing paige and plant probably enhanced my views as well.

  • Steve Marriot could have been a rythme guitar for Jimmy but he could not have done a lot of Plants vocals. Zep would have been too ordinary in their over all body of work. I would love to have heard Jimmy on I don't need no Doctor. Zep was meant to soar above all the rest and Plant had to be the man. How about Freddie Mercury since he was voted the best rock vocalist of all time. Plant # 2. Plants vocals strayed off key a bit but Freddie was always on. They were there at the same time as Zep

  • @tubermier I think Paul Rogers trumps them both.

  • god damn youtube, y do playlists start at 4?

  • As amazing as Robert Plant is while singing, it makes me wonder how the band would of sounded with either Terry Reid or Steve Marriott (huge influence on Mr.Plant btw) doing vocals. *Yeesh* The planet would of blown up! Thanks again Led Zeppelin for all the amzing music. Remember..critcs don't buy albums-fans do! Kerrrrramg!

  • @bbqeatinbuckeye dude its people like you that i like man. wanna know why cause you add knowledge to my brain i know who two of plants influences are now dude omg i know a lot of jimmy page and fuckin bonzo but not plant till you came then mr paul johns

  • @MrTranquilMusic Your welcome. Thank you for your kind words. Check out "When Giants Walk the Earth" by Mick Wall or "Whole Lotta Led Zeppelin" by John Bream for more cool information on how the band came together /influences etc/ Also recommend "Led Zeppelin' by Charles Cross. Great reads! ROCK ON!

  • me:waiter can i have an order of sex please

  • только custard PIE... большего не будет...блеать

  • reminds me of the days when i was digesting all manner of narcotics

  • Why? They would just come and take away all their albums.

  • wuuua wuuaaaa wuaaaaaaaa waoo waoo waoooo

    haha the wah-wah sounds AWESOME.

Then again, what doesn't in this song? Let alone, any what doesn't sound awesome in ANY Led Zeppelin song?

  • @MaliciousDefacement sounds like a trick question if I've ever heaqrd one.

  • I sure wanna piece of your custard pie!

  • I will listen to LZ in my time of dying

  • The snort a quarter song. This was the Ft. Liquordale vitamin C album of the 70's

  • oh yeah save me a slice

  • Before I could buy them all....I used to stand in front of all of the Led Zeppelin albums at Tower Records and could not blink....I just stared at them...I heard the music out and about and in my friends cars or houses...I knew at that point there was a level of being that I could not grasp...that 4 guys could make music like this...I couldn't comprehend it...I have never heard or experienced or liked another band as I have loved Led Zeppelin.

  • Holy fucking balls, this song is the most badass song i have heard in all my days.

    Dat wailing guitar.

  • Or even better idea ! A few hot women in a giant bowl of custard pie and then comes the fucking orgy 3-some.....Win-win situation, I love custard, and I love womin too, motherfuckers !

  • i cant get enough of this song

  • I didnt knew this song til my sister in law gave me this CD for my 6th grade graduation :) (a year ago xD) and i have this CD on top of pure gold :D

  • Custard Pie, Candy Store Rock, The Wanton Song, Tangerine,

Dammit Led Zeppelin, listening to your music makes me hungry!!!

  • Legendary, Brillant, Epic...Perfect...

  • Awwww yeah! Man, this brings back memories. How did I forget just how amazing Zeppelin was? Crankin' it UP!

  • did anybody see the episode of jerry springer when the grandmother said she knew her granddaughter was havin sex cause when she washed her clothes she would have vanilla custard in her pantys????

  • the andromedans will arrive once they get this upload

  • Jimmy Page is awesome and very creative, guys but don't even think you have a chance in saying Page "matches" Beethoven. That man composed one of his best symphonies in his head because he had turned deaf. It was much harder to live back then and he did nearly all of it on his own. Don't disrespect him with your cheap comparisons.

  • @Redflowers9 whateva just enjoy the music :-)

  • @HardRockRecords oh wow, you look so cool and chilled in comparison to me because I said a lot and you said very little... -__- lol I did enjoy the music and what a great band.

  • Oooh Yah! Zeppelin Rocks

  • LMFAO only on youtube would someone debate over beethoven and led zeppelin.

  • am i actually seeing an arguement over page and beethoven???? you fucking morons there is no comparing page to beethoven they both were some of the best composers in music history, but they both composed at totally different levels of genius, and on that i say shuddup and listen to the music already!! dummies hahahah

  • Sometimes I feel like I took Zeppelin and Floyd for granted growing up. Being born just about the time they were formed and discovering them at a very early age, they have always been the 2 bands I never stopped listening to. Timeless is the only word that comes to mind.

  • @PFTome yea

  • @PFTome at least you had the honour of growing up with good music. i was born in the early 90's and totally got the shit end of the stick. music sucks now a days

  • @PFTome thats because the are the really best band zep so much energy and great vibe and floyd ha ....speechless how they can be

  • WOW!

  • I enjoy all the sexual metaphors here....:)

  • @Pepperbone1 hahaha they made many :)

  • Love this song for many reasons, but the frickin capper is Plant wailing on the harp at the end. Always dug his playing, wish he would have done it more often. My first stage appearance in 73 when I was in college, I sat in with a Zep cover band and blew harp on You Shook Me, an awesome night down at Southern Illinois in a club called Merlins.

  • Page is alive! and his fingers on the fret will make you say what the fuck! sorry beehive, and dragsoooooooons , Page tops baythovin, and trumps!

  • SHAKE EM DOWM!!!!

  • Jimmy Page would kick Beethoven's ass.

  • @jameskresl He really wouldn't.

  • @lolatmyaccounts .....yeah he would

  • @dragoooons Beethoven is one of the best composers that has ever lived.

    Page does not compare.

  • @lolatmyaccounts PAGE IS WAY BETTER!

  • @jameskresl i dont know that would be one helluva fight!

  • So Mothers Finest completely ripped this song off for their cover of Mickeys Monkey...Holy Shit hahaha

  • What's interesting is that I can still rock out to these songs 40 years later - says something about how great their music was and still is.

  • KICK ASS! just what I needed.

  • No, I agree Led Zeppelin is the best. Using the word transcendent is a bit of a stretch for any rock band. I would reserve transcendent for something else like Bach's cello suites or maybe some songs by Bob Dylan. Stairway to Heaven is rather transcendent though

  • @jdbrown371 How about i am the walrus?

  • Comment removed

  • Transcendent? That's a pretty strong word usually reserved for Beethoven's late string quartets or piano sonatas.

  • @jdbrown371 So you're trying to say Led Zeppelin isn't transcendent? They're the best band of all time in my opinion. Every song is a classic.

  • This may be my fav Zeppelin song...what's not up for debate is that zeppelin is my fav band of all time. They were transcendent.

  • Beat the shit out of those drums BONZO. (the man)

  • believe

  • arent you glad their mothers didnt abort them? :D

  • amo a led zeppelin......¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • I hope aliens pick a Led Zeppelin feed from outerspace

  • @1aggiesrule Maybe they can make them young again!!...there is hope!

  • @1aggiesrule

yes. What would they think????? who cares L/Z best band on the planet

  • @nockuout1

    Obama SUCKS!

    Led Zeppelin RULEZ! :-)

  • @ryan2151993 its about pussy custard pie looks like a woman's lips

  • @elvispresley718 Lol, what did I say it was about? It's been so long I can't remember.

  • Comment removed

  • This song is based on various American blues recordings, including Blind Boy Fuller's 1939 "I Want Some Of Your Pie" and Brown McGhee's 1947 "Custard Pie Blues." It's the first song on the double album Physical Graffiti.

  • @streetcat93 And drop down mama by sleepy john estes

  • Special place in my heart for this album......Could listen to it every day,,,,,,,as I did.

  • led zeppelin

  • to be honest when it comes to bands from the 70s who else do i need other than

    Black Sabbath 2

    Pink Floyd 3

    Thin Lizzy 4

    ACDC 5

    Van Halen 6

    Rainbow 7

    Deep Purple

  • @Rorschachxx1985 Sorry -- to put Thin Lizzy and Deep Purple on this list and omit the Stones is ridiculous.

  • @Rorschachxx1985

You forgot Bad Company, Lynard Skynard, Aerosmith, Stones, Tommy Bolin, Montrose, Johnny Winter, just to name a few

  • @Rorschachxx1985

And Ted Nugent. "Cat Scratch Fever"

  • @MrBluesrules Ted Nugent has Latent Homosexual Issues.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrBluesrules Man, please don't corrupt the awesomeness of a great song like this, with politics!

Presidents Plant and Page would not approve.

  • @bruno66686 You obviously know NOTHING about Uncle Ted.

  • My humble opinion...my only led zepplin record...it has it all...The essence of LZ,the ferocitity, the tranquility the power ....

  • i have no idea w

  • im an atheist and dont believe in god,but god is my excuse for 70% of my led zeppelin comments tough.

  • @skinspikes wow they do this with rock too... cmon man seriously cut this crap, the trend is stupid, if u really like good music, keep shut and listen.

  • @Fuckdisworld93 ok, first off i copied and pasted that .... so bite me! Second, I listen to music that I like it transcends genre's... IDK who the EFF Owl City is anyway... btw your comment makes absolutely no sense what so ever. Phrases like " keep shut and listen" I think your missing a noun in there... "cut" what crap are you just pissed that your life sucks so I was easy to hit up for an ego boost if so I have already forgiven you.

  • @skinspikes i have no idea what ur talking about. and wjat ego are u talking about? im a drug addict so i don't have to make myself feel better about anything or to boost anyone's ego, whatever i said, im sorry but seriously u sound like a kid but whatever
