Newt would have been better off just saying "Mitt made many companies build up high debt and fail. Sure, some succeeded, but many also failed or did not substantially grow. That is not a strong record for someone who wants to be President of a country that needs to be turned around." That message would likely have been more effective that sounding more like Micheal Moore.
Re Rick Perry's lack of wisdom, don't forget to view the revealing (but tragic) documentary "Incendiary"! Its thoughtful moral for RickP was this: DO NOT comment on things you (a) Have NSF info on, (b) Don't understand, and most of all, (c) Are not required to opine on!
This was RIck Perry's last hurrah, wasn't it? Even if I wouldn't have voted for any of them, I am still sad to see each one bite the dust. RP isn't wise, but he certainly is good-looking. Ron Paul would've been a great President when? Not now & not then! Based upon his proposed Foreign Policy America would've just fought Japan(hopefully because they attacked us) and left France,Italy,England,Poland, and the rest to their own devices to be crushed by the Germans. "Ron Paul, a detailed report [1]has recently found that 20 of the 240 newsletters published under your name contained racist, homophobic and bigost content. It also found that the most offensive of these, a special edition of the newsletter, published in June 1992, was written by a man named James B.Powell.
However, no one can prove who wrote the other editions since 7-8 freelance authors and yourself contributed to the newsletter.
@TheNikoado They were published in his name but that does not mean he wrote them. Cnn and others want people to focus on that because that takes away from all of the other real issues like foreign policy which could lead us into WW3. The US no longer follows the rule of law and feels it has special rights while all other nations do not. The US feels it has the right to protect itself but if Iran wants to protect itself from the Zionists in Israel it has no right. You better wake up.

@LegalizeLiberty420 Your title says it all. The only candidate you think will help this country is the one that shows interest in the legalization of marijuana. I've smoked weed and don't care if you do, but to deny any other candidate recognition because of it? your opinion means nothing

Im more interested in ENDING THE DECADE LONG WARS, HAVING A SOUND ECONOMY AND SOUND MONEY, STOP POLICING THE WORLD, STOP PROPPING UP DICTATORS IN FOREIGN LANDS, STOP FORCING OUR WAY OF LIFE ON THE WORLD. @jackfrost2995 @jackfrost2995 i only put 420 in my name to show i smoke weed, not to promote its legalization. Legalizeliberty is about bringing this country back to a place where people had rights to privacy, a job, and sound money. All the mainstream candidates are NOT about that. They are about further distorting the constitution, to their own ends. I like how you attack me on my CONSTITUTIONAL BELIEFS, you probably voted obama last time huh, he hates the constitution too.
The US is gradually turning into a Chinese Fascist Dictatorship no better then Mao Tse Tung.
Legalization of Marijuana is only one small part of Ron Paul's policy. Ron Paul has a very strict policy of adhering to the rule of law. US are hypocrites in that they call other nations "Rogue Nations". "Rogue Nation" means you don't adhere to the UN or rule of law which the US does not. Obama has already passed a Bill that is 100% unconstitutional.
The problem with Gingrich's last educational proposal is that schools need a system to audit their performance. I think private auditing would be better! I think people deserve the right to see the education they're getting and be able to decide which schools they desire to attend. I don't think his answer solves the problem for which the bill was intended to solve.
I don't think Paul is willing to support some specific amendments like the second that should be protected under federal jurisdiction and not states. He has some serious issues with it. I saw the first with abortion. 14th amendment sets the standard that congress can have teeth when protecting individual rights. The 5th amendment is violated if you would consider the fetus as a person from conception as Paul does. He is not willing to uphold specific rights that a guaranteed by the constitu.
Sanctorum did quite well surprisingly. It's still going to be Romney though. Gingrich is closest, but like he said the candidate needs a record that can stand up to Obama and Gingrich has way too many skeletons. Perry and Paul are both jokes and need to drop out already like Huntsman. That RINO finally came to his senses.
@MeganHP13 Not so sure about that. Santorum won Iowa, Newt may take SC and there is a chance that many more conservative states will chose them over Romney.
@Cyzthur I just read about that, but its kind of too late now. Sanctorum dropped immediately afterward in New Hampshire. Newt has too many skeletons and too much baggage. But you're right, they have the biggest chance out of the final candidates of beating Romney.
Foreign aid only accounts for about 1 percent of the national budget Paul. You want to cut 1 trillion so where do you plan on cutting please. Inflation has been held at 4% for decades! Inflation as a tax isn't the biggest issue. It just isn't or it would have become an issue a decade ago.
@rexbreed Inflation is the issue. The stock market bubble of the Roaring 20`s was the impetus of the Great Depression, just as the housing bubble was of the current crisis. The current crisis wasnt allowed to go into depression, so they just keep inflating, and the current bubble is the Treasury bubble. Learn a little about bonds, how they go up and down with interest rates, then google Treasury bubble, and get your head straight.
@luvcheney1 4% inflation is the issue??? That's ridiculous. We've had 4% inflation since 84 and it hasn't caused us problems! Monetary policy isn't the issue and we've had a strong economy with those levels of inflation for plenty of time. On top of that we've had a slight period of deflation through 2009.
@rexbreed Expansive monetary policy in the Roaring 20`s caused a stock market bubble, and crash. (45% more M-2 in 1921-29). Expansive monetary policy 1995-2005 (M-2 up 87%) caused 2 bubbles, Nasdaq stock, and housing bubbles. Monetary increase may create investment bubbles, or at times general price inflation, or both. 30 year US Treasury Bonds rose 30% in 2011! Fed Reserve printed money to buy 70% of deficit. This pushes interest rates down, causing another destructive bubble.
Romney is the only person who talks about keeping America with "the equality of opportunity." That's the strongest position any candidate can take is defending the ability for an individual to make himself what he truly wishes. If he does want things that are detrimental to society he can leave the U.S. to find it.
"And the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon, the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
In the Bible America is referred to as "Mystery Babylon" "And I heard another voice from heaven saying come out of her my people that ye not be partaker's of her sins and that ye receive not of her plaques for her sins have reached unto Heaven and God remembered her inequities" "With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication"
The US government has so much power now that if another false flag terror attack happens like the last one coupled with all the Fema Camps already in place and all the foreign troops they already have in their country to do their evil bidding, it will be enough for them to put people into camps all in the name of disaster relief. Google/Youtube Earthquake on New Madrid Fault. This would definitely coincide with all the earthquakes we have been getting which the mainstream media never talks about
People need to understand that the US right now can have its way with you and can attack any nation overseas all in the name of "terrorism". Terrorism was created by your own Government to go overseas and get the oil but they are not satisfied with that they also want to depopulate the planet to make way for Satan's New World Order. Read the New Testament. Also isn't it funny that this Bill was passed on the eve of 2012 which is the year the Mayans and others predicted so much evil happening?
Romney has the record with cracking down on cheaters! He closed so many different loopholes in bad and unfair tax breaks with Mass. No wonder he was able to change the 3 billion in deficits to surplus
Yeah but can Gingrich ever create any jobs without following along with what someone else is doing. I don't take it to be his record at all! It's ridiculous for him to say it's "his" record.
@lion575 Well congress is made from quite a few people and quite a few of them said he did a bad job with that congress. From what I hear he wasn't that much of a leader. Plus why did he resign? Because he was such a controversial figure. He can't even hold a campaign together for a year! How can he hold the country together for four?
Why would anyone want Gingrich for president if his closest advisers resign from their position because they don't like him. His campaign has almost fallen apart twice in one season and whose to say it wouldn't fall apart in the general election. This man is a bad choice simply due to his organizational skills. We don't want a man who might destroy the country twice in one term! I don't think it's wise to consider Gingrich as a viable candidate. Plus he didn't stick to the stay positive idea
@rexbreed Yes and Mitt Romney is no better neither is Perry. I don't support Rock either but he is definitely not as bad as those candidates. Ron Paul is the most viable candidate because he is anti-war anti-establishment and supports the rule of law which means no secret arrests or imprisonments. Talking like this: "We have a Bill that can detain American citizens on their own soil without Habeus Corpus" is wrong in so many ways. This is Nazism! Research Fema camps people!
@JamesRideout123 Okay I've heard that claim I've looked up on it some if you could give more details that would be great as far as the legislation that would do such a thing. I personally support Romney since he has a strong record in his $3 billion in deficit to $700 million surplus gig. He's been married 45 years! He's shifted in political issues that he had lots of close relative and friend ties with. I view that as good since it has been to be conservative.
@rexbreed He has been married for 45 years? So what. Paul has delivered 4000 babies in his lifetime which I think is more important then 45 years of marriage. The legislation that could do such a thing is discussed in this video when you hear about NDA. The commentator asks Romney would you support a bill that detains American citizens indefinitely without habeus corpus and without the right to see a lawyer and Mitt said yes! This in itself should be a wakeup call for American citizens.
15% is even a bad tip at a good restaurant. He needs to show the last 5 years tax returns and pay taxes on his millions shipped offshore to the Cayman Islands and never run for president, again. This is a disgrace.
@gsdgdgdsfg The people who watch these debates are mostly neocons. Thus, the GOP establishment gets the most questions because they are seen as most likely to win, and most appealing to the audience. Forget the so-called "liberal" media, the media is corporate and just does what will sell. I don't support Paul at all, but he does deserve equal time with the others. Maybe we should regulate the media more... so it's fairer.
@Mossy500A For example, the idea the peace and stability of the Modern World doesn't depend primarily on the US military power that is stationed overseas.
@Mossy500A I agree. But the reason we got involved overseas in the first place is because wars happening in foreign nations led to attacks against the US. It's sad but true that what happens in one part of the world can affect us all.
@Cyzthur Ron Paul is saying that you should not support preemptive war because it takes out the rule of law. I find it hypocritical of the US to accuse Muslims of imposing Sharia Law when they don't follow the law themselves. If you don't follow the law you are a criminal and that is what the US is. Also the US likes to throw the word "Rogue Nation" out there. A "Rogue Nation" is a nation that does not follow international law which the Us does not. Again it is Hypocrisy.
@JamesRideout123 There will be circumstances in world affairs in which the US attacking first is necessary and just. That isn't to say that Iraq was a just cause considering the devastating consequences it had for the Iraqi people. We ought to work towards a system of international law where leaders and governments that have committed crimes against their people, such as Sadam can be removed from power and brought to justice.
@Cyzthur No there will never be an incident that requires preemptive strikes as a prerequisite. You don't attack an entire nation based off of the attacks of one man or even a handful of them and that is assuming that 911 was even caused by these men. We don't know if these men even did it and Osama never claimed responsibility for the attacks although the media likes to sya that he did. Osama said these attacks appear to have been carried out by individuals with their own motivation.
Why is Ron Paul on the outside of the stage when he has come in the top 3 every time? Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich are not equal or better than him. shows how the media is rigged to only let certain people talk.
Its just a popularity contest now. Another shitty reality show crammed down our throats by big media with their slanted views. Why not a debate at a University where intellectuals can ask real questions?
@Atom47Ag Spare us--you have no idea who hates the Constitution or Freedom. If you'd only vote for Ron Paul then it could easily be said you'd rather see a Socialist in the White as we currently do. Another 4 years of him and see then what will happen to our Constitution and Freedom.
@swetomboy Mitt Romney supports a Bill that supports incarceration of American citizens on their own soil without the aid of habeus corpus. You need to do some research or watch this video. You also need to hear him hen he says lets have a military unchallenged. The US is already to a great deal unchallengeable throughout the world. The Bible talks about a Satan's New World Order. It says "Who is like unto the Beast who is able to make war with him?" Mitt is pro-totalitarian.
i like how they call ron pauls name in the beginning and show him for a second.... lmao

@TheLittlerob510 Why do we have a social security deficit you ask?
1) Successive governments spent money on pork, wars, bloated defense department, and tax cuts for the rich, but not on social security fund.
2) Republican lizard politicians brag about cutting taxes, but your taxes fund your social security.

Romney is going to cap spending at 20 percent GDP once he gets things under control :-) point 57 in his 59 point plan :-)

I guess Gingrich has looked at Romney's plan as far as consolidation. Santorum just follows the train.

segakid101 1 month ago
Sanctorum did quite well surprisingly. It's still going to be Romney though. Gingrich is closest, but like he said the candidate needs a record that can stand up to Obama and Gingrich has way too many skeletons. Perry and Paul are both jokes and need to drop out already like Huntsman. That RINO finally came to his senses.
MeganHP13 1 month ago

It just isn't or it would have become an issue a decade ago.
rexbreed 1 month ago
@rexbreed Inflation is the issue. The stock market bubble of the Roaring 20`s was the impetus of the Great Depression, just as the housing bubble was of the current crisis. The current crisis wasnt allowed to go into depression, so they just keep inflating, and the current bubble is the Treasury bubble. Learn a little about bonds, how they go up and down with interest rates, then google Treasury bubble, and get your head straight.
luvcheney1 1 month ago

Why would anyone want Gingrich for president if his closest advisers resign from their position because they don't like him. His campaign has almost fallen apart twice in one season and whose to say it wouldn't fall apart in the general election. This man is a bad choice simply due to his organizational skills. We don't want a man who might destroy the country twice in one term! I don't think it's wise to consider Gingrich as a viable candidate. Plus he didn't stick to the stay positive idea
rexbreed 1 month ago 3
@rexbreed Yes and Mitt Romney is no better neither is Perry. I don't support Rock either but he is definitely not as bad as those candidates. Ron Paul is the most viable candidate because he is anti-war anti-establishment and supports the rule of law which means no secret arrests or imprisonments. Talking like this: "We have a Bill that can detain American citizens on their own soil without Habeus Corpus" is wrong in so many ways. This is Nazism! Research Fema camps people!
JamesRideout123 1 month ago
@JamesRideout123 Okay I've heard that claim I've looked up on it some if you could give more details that would be great as far as the legislation that would do such a thing. I personally support Romney since he has a strong record in his $3 billion in deficit to $700 million surplus gig. He's been married 45 years! He's shifted in political issues that he had lots of close relative and friend ties with. I view that as good since it has been to be conservative.
rexbreed 1 month ago
@rexbreed He has been married for 45 years? So what. Paul has delivered 4000 babies in his lifetime which I think is more important then 45 years of marriage. The legislation that could do such a thing is discussed in this video when you hear about NDA. The commentator asks Romney would you support a bill that detains American citizens indefinitely without habeus corpus and without the right to see a lawyer and Mitt said yes! This in itself should be a wakeup call for American citizens.

Cyzthur 1 month ago
@Cyzthur What reality? That the Constitution is garbage and that our government knows what's best?
Mossy500A 1 month ago
@Mossy500A For example, the idea the peace and stability of the Modern World doesn't depend primarily on the US military power that is stationed overseas.
Cyzthur 1 month ago
@Cyzthur If the modern world want peace, it should first depend on itself, not just the U.S.
Mossy500A 1 month ago
@Mossy500A I agree. But the reason we got involved overseas in the first place is because wars happening in foreign nations led to attacks against the US. It's sad but true that what happens in one part of the world can affect us all.
Cyzthur 1 month ago
@Cyzthur Ron Paul is saying that you should not support preemptive war because it takes out the rule of law. I find it hypocritical of the US to accuse Muslims of imposing Sharia Law when they don't follow the law themselves. If you don't follow the law you are a criminal and that is what the US is. Also the US likes to throw the word "Rogue Nation" out there. A "Rogue Nation" is a nation that does not follow international law which the Us does not. Again it is Hypocrisy.
JamesRideout123 1 month ago
@JamesRideout123 There will be circumstances in world affairs in which the US attacking first is necessary and just. That isn't to say that Iraq was a just cause considering the devastating consequences it had for the Iraqi people. We ought to work towards a system of international law where leaders and governments that have committed crimes against their people, such as Sadam can be removed from power and brought to justice.
Cyzthur 1 month ago
@Cyzthur No there will never be an incident that requires preemptive strikes as a prerequisite. You don't attack an entire nation based off of the attacks of one man or even a handful of them and that is assuming that 911 was even caused by these men. We don't know if these men even did it and Osama never claimed responsibility for the attacks although the media likes to sya that he did. Osama said these attacks appear to have been carried out by individuals with their own motivation.
