  • Both versions are great! You can't argue with the appeal of young rock-n-rool chicks with guitars or the simple pleasure of a single vocalist with guitar who performs a great song passionately!

  • @battlebauble I agree entirely :)

  • I wasn't thrilled with the vocal on the first version, but each arrangement brought out something interesting and different in the song.

  • @kenrg I can see what you mean about the first version. I'll admit that when i heard it "live", i wasn't that sure either. But, i enjoyed it when i listened back during the editing.

  • I think the test of a truly great song is if it works in different styles... This is one of those great sings

  • @phekwig I can't disagree with that Andy.

  • Very cool representation of the diverse styles displayed at Beatles Day. Almost seems like this could be an advert for the event. Well done Andy!

  • @penguinspetpumpkin Thanks Lily. As it happens these two versions followed each other on my tape & just had to be included together.. Plus, i didn't capture the full version of either performance!

  • well contrasted Sir

  • @MrRandomWritings Thank you sir. I thought they fitted well together.

  • Sounds like you had a GREAT time!!! Love the Beatles music...the lyrics speak of so many truths today just like they did when it first came out!

  • @PaintedRavensong I sure did Mic. Their music has a timeless quality about it & as you say, is still very relevant today :)
