Both versions are great! You can't argue with the appeal of young rock-n-rool chicks with guitars or the simple pleasure of a single vocalist with guitar who performs a great song passionately!
@kenrg I can see what you mean about the first version. I'll admit that when i heard it "live", i wasn't that sure either. But, i enjoyed it when i listened back during the editing.
@penguinspetpumpkin Thanks Lily. As it happens these two versions followed each other on my tape & just had to be included together.. Plus, i didn't capture the full version of either performance!

I wasn't thrilled with the vocal on the first version, but each arrangement brought out something interesting and different in the song.

I think the test of a truly great song is if it works in different styles... This is one of those great sings

Very cool representation of the diverse styles displayed at Beatles Day. Almost seems like this could be an advert for the event. Well done Andy!

Sounds like you had a GREAT time!!! Love the Beatles music...the lyrics speak of so many truths today just like they did when it first came out!

@PaintedRavensong I sure did Mic. Their music has a timeless quality about it & as you say, is still very relevant today :)
