This is the exact book and verse Perry Stone said post-tribbers use to defend their view. Perry said this verse is not talking about Jesus and the rapture but when He returns with those already raptured.
@posttribnetwork p.s. as stated earlier always I believe Jesus over man...but whether its Pre,Mid,Post, etc..taken away.I'm not certain & its no division for me w/ other saints who are inclined to other views, just regardless when & if we must stand firm, lets all agree we do so, by Gods grace & that we should be spirtually prepared for whatever!
@mcap52 In order for those dead in Christ to rise first 1Thess. 4:16, they first must be dead and all are not martyred untill after the beast and after the great tribulation which is the first resurrection Rev.20:4
@mcap52 Think a minute.P. Stone says vs.29-31 are talking about the 2nd Coming not the rapture.Yet what does it say? Christ will gather His ELECT in the AIR. In other words, a rapture, as vs.40-41 clearly say that these people are still alive. So pre-trib teaches 2 raptures & 2 Second comings as a pre-trib rapture requires Christ leaving heaven & coming to earth correct? Because He doesn't touchdown He hasn't come? He doesn't touch down in vs.31 either. How many raptures & comings do you want?
