Why do Amy Grant's songs cause such controversy? We have NO idea how many so-called Christian singers live their lives! Hers has simply been more advertised. I have always been a fan of Amy Grant. She has an angelic and beautiful voice. She sings with a lot of faith and emotion. I believe her faith in Jesus and true talent is what made her so famous and loved throughout the world.

He created a possibility that all can come to Him forgiven through the blood of Jesus! No need to create a set of regulations in salvation....He gave it to us as a gift. Right? I fell in love with a christian girl over a year ago ,but did not work out because of my addiction. I was a crazy drunk living in the NYC. I blamed her because she rejected me and I'd relaspes over and over but the problem was me. I was not closer to my higher power. But, you must also understand, that even if you "go" tell her you were wrong, that she might have moved on as she has not seen the demonstration of your change. The gift of salvation is from God. He doesn't do "indian giving". So, Sween/k2crest, before you send out the message of chastisment, you need to think hard &long abt ur own life, u own sins that u commit every day, and then learn from those. Unfortunately, you will continue to observe laws that were fullfilled by God with the "action" of grace. See, we know the 10 Commandments were placed into action to the Hebrews as they were falling away from Him. The only way to get forgiveness by the old law is to have a sacrific event. The final sacrific was Jesus which leads to salvation.

After salvation, a gift from God to His children, we receive cleansing of those sins with the continual guidance of the Holy Spirit. We all sin, we all fall short, but is "learning" by your faith that will be pleasing to God...that is true repentance. What God forgives, no man can undo.
God says to unrepentant adulteresses and others who persist to break His commandments Luke 6:46): "But why do you call Me Lord, Lord, and not do the things which I say?"
Among other things, He says (Mark 10:12), (1Cor 7:10-11), and (John 14:15). Read for yourself.
He also tells us (Heb 10:26-27). Not such good news for people who persist to commit adultery.

@modspell, Amy's predicament has nothing whatsoever to do with secular music. If you are a Christian, then perhaps you know what God is saying at (Hebrews10:46-47, and 6:4-6). There have been comments right here on YouTube that show Amy's effect to have been described by God at (Luke17:1-2). If Amy is, in fact, committing sin leading to death, God tells us not even to pray about it (1John5:16).

But, you must also understand, that even if you "go" tell her you were wrong, that she might have moved on as she has not seen the demonstration of your change. The gift of salvation is from God. He doesn't do "indian giving". Unfortunately, you will continue to observe laws that were fullfilled by God with the "action" of grace. See, we know the 10 Commandments were placed into action to the Hebrews as they were falling away from Him. The only way to get forgiveness by the old law is to have a sacrific event. The final sacrific was Jesus which leads to salvation.

All I can say is her music and words have brought me to my knees so many times, and countless tears of joy to the Lord. Yes, she exploited her talent in secular ways, and it can be argued it was a wrong detour. But, I know she's my sister and an anointed giver of music and message. And for the record, I love this album, and all of hers I ever owned.

@modspell, Amy's predicament has nothing whatsoever to do with secular music. If you are a Christian, then perhaps you know what God is saying at (Hebrews10:46-47, and 6:4-6). There have been comments right here on YouTube that show Amy's effect to have been described by God at (Luke17:1-2). If Amy is, in fact, committing sin leading to death, God tells us not even to pray about it (1John5:16).

He was not casting stones, although He is the cornerstone (1Peter2:8): "and 'A stone of stumbling And a rock of offense.'
