  • Is cocnut oil treatment considered a protein treatment

  • @fashion502 Hi and thanks for watching! Oils have zero protein. The protein chains do not survive the oil pressing process. That said, coconut oil is clinically shown to stop protein loss in the hair strand - it easily penetrates the strand and bonds in there like glue - so in a roundabout way it does have an effect on protein levels.

  • hey i love you videos, check out my videos.

  • @beautifulhair007 Thanks so much! Will do. *heading over to stalk your channel...:)*

  • TressBuzz, your hair is so beautiful. I too do protein treatments. Once every

4-6 weeks. Yes, you are right, you must use a moisturizing conditioner with

that protein. I use "Triple Moisture, by Neutrogene." My hair is loving it!!!

I also use "Just for Me, Texture Softener. I stop using the stronger relaxers. My hair is growing so good. I've been this for about 6 months. Your hair is so beautiful! keep up the good work.

  • @luvroses007 You are pure sweetness! Thanks for brightening a girl's day :)) Yes the moisture is a MUST. Using a texture softener instead of a relaxer is a wonderful alternative! I can seen some mega hair in your future. Again thank you and God Bless!

  • Thanks for this! I am assuming that you are natural. I love seeing other naturals who wear their hair straight. My texture makes it hard to wear it curly so I prefer straight. Just trying to keep it healthy though... :)

  • @1920Zenith Hey mami thanks for watching! I am 100% relaxed lol. You can definitely keep straight natural hair healthy. All you are doing is temporarily breaking the bonds which is exactly what a relaxer does permanently. Just follow many of the same healthy hair practices that relaxed women do and you will have health and growth. God Bless.

  • Oooooohhhh TressBuzz another GREAT VIDEO! Thanks Girl! I did not know that you could make this protein treatment and it not be egg soup! As always you're full of GOOD NEWS! ~I'm making my notes....Yep!~

Not sure if you have Sally's in your area or not, but they carry the Aphogee Green Tea....

  • @blueandblessed My sister! Good news to the rescue lol. Yup our Sally's is all the way downtown. Not on my usual route but I will be getting down there sooner or later. Keep shining your mega-watt light ma. :))

  • @TressBuzz~Thank you TressBuzz!

  • Nice video beautiful lady! I don't know why your videos don't show up in my subscriptions : (

  • @thelmarrie Awww you lump of sugar. How sweet. Visit me more often Miss L!

  • Does mixing it with conditioner mask the smell of raw egg? I hate the smell so much I haven't tried it even though my hair love protein.

  • @mpofus76 OMG we're twins lol. Thanks for watching and commenting! The smell of egg makes me want to hurl. With this I have never ever once smelled the egg. Never. I would say go ahead and try it with a fragrant conditioner. The egg you won't even notice.

  • OK. So just looking at your video, I have done my protein treatment ALL WRONG LMBO. A) I didn't mix my egg with anything SMH. B) I left it on my hair for only about 15 mins. I have been doing a lot of research on my hair and I DO NEED protein. Can I do my protein treatment over the right way or should I wait until the next month?

  • @QadarahYahawadah Hey! Definitely wait. Animal proteins can easily put you into overload so it's best to keep it at once a month. Keep at it girlfriend!

  • @TressBuzz OK. Thank you so much!

  • Your hair is unbelievable, just beautiful.

  • @hardtograsptruth Awww thanks that's sweet of you :))

  • How much does your treatment make? My hair isn't as long as yours & is this the only form of protein you use? Outside of the Chi mist... THANK YOU!!

  • @LucKeyGirlJackson Hi and thanks for watching! It makes about 1 1/2 cups. You really need to saturate the hair for this treatment. You could cut the conditioner in half but use the same amount of oil and egg if you need less quantity. Yes this is the only protein I use. Otherwise I just spritz occassionally with the Chi.

  • @ReniiNaturalistaDiva thanks sister! :))

  • @MsJude49 OMG we are hair twins. That Aphogee green tea and keratin is my favorite EVER. It started to get so hard to find when the Korean BSS closed shop. It is a great alternative. I also recently found another alternative in the Shea Moisture Hold and Shine Moisture Mist. I'm trying that next. It has silk protein and gives a little natural hold.

  • @Malikidingo1 LOL I have never had the egg cook. Yup I would want to get that out asap.

  • @hairspeaks awwww that is so sweet of you :)

  • i look forward to ur vids!

  • Good tutorial....I too do this treatment once a month and I luv it, but i only leave it in for 10-20 mins, also my head gets really hot and i find that some of the egg starts to cook from the heat...i shampoo twice and deep condition also. ^_^

  • I think I have finally found my hair twin...i absolutely love your tips. I have a question regarding your chi keratin mist do you think I could substitute it with aphogees keratin spray? i really cannot afford the chi at this time..thanks in advance.

  • Great tutorial!
