I actually LOST my job because of the Stimulus. The state agency that oversees our program told us to spend like sailors on shore leave and they'd reimburse us from the Stimulus. i have worked on a 49 million $ stimulus job in NC. 25% of the people couldn't speak english. im currently working an addition to a VA hospital 35% of the same. so when we build these new roads and bridges obama's stimulus calls for. you know who will build them. non government jobs it's even worse, it's even worse, it's at about 80%! both libs and dems get a fail on protecting our borders.
Actually yes, alot of it comes from Mainland Communist China, but about an equal amount comes from, Banks in the United States, Japan, and many other sources.
So, Yes owing money to China is bad, but we owe much more than China, witch makes this ultimatly worse. I would be glad if it was only the $800 dollars from China.

To save the US economy the stimulus money should go towards teacher's student loans. Then the 6.8million teachers in US would spend. It would be an investment that would boost the economy immediately and would LAST. Cutting from education results in the opposite and adds to the recession.

I am a laid off construction worker. Who is being denied for unemployment benefits. The only stimulus package I have seen is a stimulus for revolution. Great vid. I've seen those signs here in my home state. They repaved a quarter mile section of Highway 49 that didn't really even need it. I also saw them stick one of those signs on a highway project that was completed LAST YEAR!!!!

I live near the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and earlier this year there were a lot of ads on the radio about it, mostly from the "side" (one rich man) against it. Those ads didn't mention that it's FOR the Convention Center, or that many convention planners these days will not have their conventions in centers without at least one hotel adjacent or connected to it.
People who don't know a lot about conventions are generally unaware of the enormous economical impact they have on host cities.
And from what I understand, bailout dollars don't apply to this issue. Because it was strongly emphasized in the debate on whether it should be built that it will not be done with tax money, but by selling revenue bonds, and paying them off over time with money from hotel guests. Rooms, service, etc.

To save the US economy the stimulus money should go towards teacher's student loans. Then the 6.8million teachers in US would spend. It would be an investment that would boost the economy immediately and would LAST. Cutting from education results in the opposite and adds to the recession.

I have 3 casualties from the stimulus bill that will piss you off.
1. A friend of mine who has a severe intestinal infection can't afford to lose his health benefits, lost his GM job.
2. My brotherinlaw, who has 5 kids, lost his position with GM.
3. My ex-coworker lost her job with GM.
All of them had over 15-20 years with the company, now gone.

I am a laid off construction worker. Who is being denied for unemployment benefits. The only stimulus package I have seen is a stimulus for revolution. Soon I will be another law abiding citizen forced out of my home. Can't afford to keep a roof over my head. Good work stimulus package! Find a way to TAX me some more! All WAIT I can't even have a job to have an income to TAX. I guess the government forgot that crucial step? Bummer.

We took a trip to Denver summer 2009....All we saw were signs about the "Reinvestment and Recovery Act" with a few workers scattered here and there and NO work to speak of being done!!!

In Tallahassee FL we just started the 4 millon dollar Turtle Tunnel.. or Ecopassage.. here are two lakes with a road in between them. Although I have not seen a turtle killed in 8 years we need 2 tunnels built underneath the road. The problem is that the alligators will just sit net to the tunnell and eat the turtles... What a waste..

only 10% has been spent on expanding welfare, extending unemployment, and that tax cut in your check that you will ahve to pay taxes on when you file next year. Be prepared to not get as much back or pay in.

In Buffalo, NY - they're supposedly building a "Multi-Cultural Center" downtown in the middle of gang central. Yay! I have no idea what purpose it will serve, other than to further polarize people into groups? But, this is all being made possible by the stimulus. No word on when they're going to start working on it. But there's a sign there by golly!

While I enjoy your videos and usually agree with you, I'm gonna have to call you out on the Dallas hotel thing.
I live near the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and earlier this year there were a lot of ads on the radio about it, mostly from the "side" (one rich man) against it. Those ads didn't mention that it's FOR the Convention Center, or that many convention planners these days will not have their conventions in centers without at least one hotel adjacent or connected to it.

People who don't know a lot about conventions are generally unaware of the enormous economical impact they have on host cities.
And from what I understand, bailout dollars don't apply to this issue. Because it was strongly emphasized in the debate on whether it should be built that it will not be done with tax money, but by selling revenue bonds, and paying them off over time with money from hotel guests. Rooms, service, etc.
