New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson abandoned his nomination to become commerce secretary under pressure of a grand jury investigation into a state contract awarded to his political donors
Time has a way of healing all wounds and wounding all heals...Billy boy just got his wound today...all gone is his chance to be in obamas cabinet. Considering the backstabbing and disloyal things he did to get into Barrys good graces, I think this is highly appropriate! Buhbye Billyboy!
Attention Barack Obama Supporters. The McCain campaign has been spreading lies about Obama's tax plan in order to sway voters their way. Please help us get the real tax plan out to voters especially if you are in areas like:
Idaho
Iowa
Maine
Minnesota
Montana
New Hampshire
Wisconsin
Wyoming
These places allow voters to register and vote at the same time up til Nov 4.
Dependence is NOT hope but servitude and despair. Not wanting what's yours stolen is not selfish but righteous. Obama? No thanks, keep that nasty change.
I LOVEE BILL RICHARDSON! he would be a great asset to the World and the US if he is elected into the Obama Administration. MY TOP 'PRIMARY-ELECTION' VOTING DECISION WAS BETWEEN BILL RICHARDSON and DENNIS KUCINICH. Barack Obama is just the man for the next 8 YEARS!!! :)
CHANGE THAT WE CAN BELIEVE IN BECAUSE HIS RECORD AND THE TYPE OF MAN HE IS PROVES IT!
Yes Richardson has been very good for New Mexico, and I can see big changes and progress since he has been gov. He's an invaluable asset to our nation for his contributions.
A college thesis by Michelle Obama about the impact of a Princeton University education on black students was withdrawn from public view for about a week - and neither the university nor Sen. Barack Obama's campaign will say why.
So the guy (powell) who gave testimony about WMDS in Iraq has great judgement , and the senators who voted on the war based on his testimony have bad judgement?!
Isnt nice Obama offered to spread the wealth of a plumber. Any very small company falls under obama's "wealthy" american. And then when these very small companies lay off workers across the country we can all thank Obama for the Depression we will be in.
GOD FORBID or as Wright would say GOD DAMN "obama"
Richardson needs to go back to Mexico and take Obama with him....Did you see the snub Hillary the man hater gave him because he endorsed Obama instead of her...LOL The Clintons, Richardson and Obama should all go to Mexico then we will build the fence....Or a steel wall...
That I have a British flag in my profile, doesn't mean I'm British, which I'm not. (not that there is anything wrong with Brits IMO). Bearing the above fact in mind, I could care less what you say about the Queen (as could most British people I'm sure)
No, I'm one of those "jackasses" that served in Afghanistan for 19 months then spent a month of well deserved holiday in Britain, (our best Allie that I worked along side), and happened to create a youtube account, and am very proud to have the British flag on my profile and to be a strong friend to the British.
If you have a problem with that, feel free to PM me your address so we can discuss this face to face.
The affidavit filed with a Nevada court in order to obtain a search warrant executed Tuesday against the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now ("ACORN"), acknowledges that the inmates were employed as part of a State of Nevada prison-to-civilian transition program.
An affidavit, filed by a Nevada law enforcement investigator in connection with the seizure Tuesday morning of a voter registration group's computers and files, alleges that the group contracted last summer with an agent for the Nevada Bureau of Corrections to employ work-release inmates as registration gatherers as part of a prisoner "transition" or "re-entry" program.
Republicans have largely looked the other way as ACORN has expanded its government-funded empire. But finally, a few conservative voices in Congress have called for investigation of the groups apparent extortion schemes. This week, GOP Reps. Tom Feeney, Jeb Hensarling and Ed Royce called on Democrat Barney Frank, chair of the House Financial Services Committee, to convene a hearing to probe potential illegalities and abuse of taxpayer funds by ACORNs management and minions alike.
Whistleblower documents reveal internal discussions among the group that blur the lines between its tax-exempt housing work and its aggressive electioneering activities. The group appears to shake down corporate interests with relentless PR attacks, and then enters no lobby agreements with targeted corporations after receiving payment.
As the Consumer Rights League points out in its new expose, the ACORN Housing Corporation has worked to obtain mortgages for illegal aliens in partnership with Citibank. It relies on undocumented income, under the table money, which may not be reported to the Internal Revenue Service. Moreover, the groups financial justice operations attack lenders for exotic loans, while recommending 10-year interest-only loans (which deny equity to the buyer) and risky reverse mortgages
Under the guise of consumer advocacy, ACORN has lined its pockets. The Department of Housing and Urban Development funds hundreds, if not thousands, of left-wing anti-poverty groups across the country led by ACORN. Last October, HUD announced more than $44 million in new housing counseling grants to over 400 state and local efforts.
In March, Philadelphia elections officials accused the nonprofit advocacy group of filing fraudulent voter registrations in advance of the April 22nd Pennsylvania primary. The charges have been forwarded to the city district attorneys office
During a congressional hearing in Ohio in the aftermath of the 2004 election, officials from several counties in the state explained ACORNs practice of dumping thousands of registration forms in their lap on the submission deadline, even though the forms had been collected months earlier.
The groups vandalism on electoral integrity is systemic. ACORN has been implicated in similar voter fraud schemes in Missouri, Ohio and at least 12 other states. The Wall Street Journal noted: In Ohio in 2004, a worker for one affiliate was given crack cocaine in exchange for fraudulent registrations that included underage voters, dead voters and pillars of the community named Mary Poppins, Dick Tracy and Jive Turkey.
Last July, ACORN settled the largest case of voter fraud in the history of Washington State. Seven ACORN workers had submitted nearly 2,000 bogus voter registration forms. According to case records, they flipped through phone books for names to use on the forms, including Leon Spinks, Frekkie Magoal and Fruto Boy Crispila. Three ACORN election hoaxers pleaded guilty in October. A King County prosecutor called ACORNs criminal sabotage an act of vandalism upon the voter rolls.
According to ACORN, Obama trained its Chicago members in leadership seminars; in turn, ACORN volunteers worked on his campaigns. Obama also sat on the boards of the Woods Fund and Joyce Foundation, both of which poured money into ACORNs coffers. ACORN head Maude Hurd gushes that Obama is the candidate who best understands and can affect change on the issues ACORN cares about — like ensuring their massive pipeline to your hard-earned money.
A former voter registration worker for an activist community organization pleaded guilty in federal court today to filing false paperwork with the Kansas City election board.
Carmen R. Davis, 38, was charged in January with voter registration fraud and identity theft before the November 2006 elections.
Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole.
I urge my colleagues to support swift action on this GSE reform legislation.
"For years I have been concerned about the regulatory structure that governs Fannie Mae and Freddie Macknown as Government-sponsored entities or GSEsand the sheer magnitude of these companies and the role they play in the housing market. OFHEOs report this week does nothing to ease these concerns. In fact, the report does quite the contrary. OFHEOs report solidifies my view that the GSEs need to be reformed without delay."- Mccain 2005
"In the case of Franklin Raines, Fannie Maes former chief executive officer, OFHEOs report shows that over half of Mr. Raines compensation for the 6 years through 2003 was directly tied to meeting earnings targets. The report of financial misconduct at Fannie Mae echoes the deeply troubling $5 billion profit restatement at Freddie Mac." - Mccain 2005
"The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversights report goes on to say that Fannie Mae employees deliberately and intentionally manipulated financial reports to hit earnings targets in order to trigger bonuses for senior executives." - Mccain 2005
"Mr. President, this week Fannie Maes regulator reported that the companys quarterly reports of profit growth over the past few years were illusions deliberately and systematically created by the companys senior management, which resulted in a $10.6 billion accounting scandal." -Mccain 2005

I found a cool fact on CNN during a praise piece on Obama. He found errors in other dem. applicants for the house of rep. to knock them off the Ballot for House of rep. to win unopposed. Yet we are to believe he's a guy of new politics. Easy to win when your the only guy playing. Sounds exactly what he's doing now. Paint McCain as Bush so he can win without offering a bit of his policy. Its Called Chicago cut-throat politics.

Abraham Lincoln, "I began to suspect," he would write later in his autobiographical The Audacity of Hope (2006), "that I might have been wrong."

Obama is a coward who wont debate because he cant debate.
He can read a good speech and if the world was scripted he would make a great Prez. So he picks a VP , who dropped out in the first round, made some stupid remarks , but since he likes to debate - who better to be your attack dog. He can blame it all on Biden if and when it all goes south

You just got to love Obama jumping on McCain for saying "Mccain is out of touch with america , he cant even remember how many houses he has" When the one mansion/house obama's purchased was under some real dirty business. I wonder if most americans can get sweetheart deals on a house like Obama?
And yet you koolaid drinking obamaidiots dont get it.
P.S. Mccain didnt say how many houses because they are investment propertites and or owned by his wifes Company

In his memoir, Obama writes of one of the watershed moments of his racial awareness -- time and again in remarkable detail. It is a story about a Life magazine article that influenced him. The report was about a black man who tried to bleach his skin white. When Obama was told no such article could be found in Life, he says "it might have been Ebony.
BARACK Obama has been forced to fend off charges from right & left that he has abandoned the core promise of his US presidential candidacy — the withdrawal of all US combat forces from Iraq within 16 months of taking office — in an attempt to attract voters from the political centre.
The controversy, which erupted after Senator Obama said he might "refine" his stance, seemed to reinforce suspicions about a series of policy shifts since he emerged as the Democratic candidate.
If McCain is four more years of Bush lets continue that logic with Barrack is for racial divide like Rev. Wright and Rev. Michael Pfleger.
After all Obama did listen to this garbage for 20 years and did nothing, got into business with Rezko, who he knew was under indictment, was more than friendly with Ares, a terrorist.
Pass the Koolaid and throw away your flagpin here comes barack!
Indicted Chicago businessman Antoin "Tony" Rezko was a more significant fundraiser for presidential candidate Barack Obama's earlier political campaigns than Obama has previously admitted. Rezko raised as much as $250,000 for the first three offices Obama sought, the senator told the Tribune on Friday.
Obama also said for the first time that his private real estate transactions with Rezko involved repeated lapses of judgment. this from a guy who is running for office based upon his judgment.
nobody is perfekt.U r saying that obama's judgment on rezko is the same as the judgment of going to a war (mcCains)?Killing 100000 of iracis, and 1000 of americans, spending tons of money for no reason at all? This is enough reason 4 me to prefer obamas judgment than enyone else for that matter,so there u have it.
Last fall during a nationally televised presidential debate, Obama hesitantly raised his hand and joined with most of his Democratic rivals to declare that he opposed decriminalizing marijuana.
But as a candidate for the U.S. Senate four years ago, Mr. Obama told Illinois college students that he supported eliminating criminal penalties for marijuana use or possession, according to a videotape of the debate
Seven months ago, Obama told the Sun-Times his "best estimate" was that Rezko raised "between $50,000 and $60,000" during Obama's political career.
However, Obama has collected at least $168,308 from Rezko and his circle. Additionally, Obama also has taken in an unknown amount of money from people who attended fund-raising events hosted by Rezko since the mid-1990s.
Russert: "When we talked back in Nov of '04 after your election, I said, 'There's been enormous speculation about your political future. Will u serve your 6 year term as United States senator from Illinois?'"
Obama:"I will serve out my full 6 year term. You know, Tim, if uget asked enough, sooner or later u get weary & u start looking for new ways of saying things. But my thinking has not changed."
Russert: "So u will not run for president or vice president in 2008?"
On July 28th, the day after his speech at the Democratic convention catapulted him into the national spotlight, Barack Obama told a group of reporters in Boston that the United States had an "absolute obligation" to remain in Iraq long enough to make it a success.
Yet when Mccain says the same thing Obamaidiots like John Cussack attack McCain not Obama.

Hey, what can these guys do anyway, there no threat to us, wait did obama say they were, hhhmmm oh wait he said there not. Oh yeah I forgot he said one thing to one group of people and another thing to a different group of people. Phew it hard to keep up with the lies.
Obama is scared of having a debate with McCain which is why he is shying away from the idea. He was trounced in the last debate and he knows its easier to preach then it is to have an answer to empty words
If we could only get a Obama/Richardson presidential ticket, we could get our energy problems fixed. They both have plans on what to do. If we get McCain, we will only get 4 more years of Bush policies!! I am for Obama 1000%!!!!
Both Bill Richardson and Barack Obama spent several years of their childhoods outside the US. Bill's childhood would not add "boy next door" essence to Obama's ticket, unless you're from Mexico City. Neither Richardson nor Obama has served in the military. With our armed forces fighting 2 wars/occupations, military experience will be a must for Obama's VP. If Obama wants to win in a landslide, he will need to choose a VP who makes the Obama ticket more attractive to military families.
Richardson was not in any war but he did use diplomacy to avoid wars...nuke wars for that matter. Check his resume. But I guess you are looking for a gun slinger like bush.
From 1944 until now, at least one member of every winning President/VP ticket has served in the military. For example, Clinton did not serve in the military but VP Gore did.
The 1940 election was the last time a non-military Pres./VP combo won. Neither FDR nor Henry Wallace ever wore the uniform. Admittedly, FDR already had 8 years experience as Commander in Chief, and was a former undersecretary of the Navy. Military experience on the ticket matters, especially during conflicts.
If McCain is four more years of Bush lets continue that logic with Barrack is for racial divide like Rev. Wright and Rev. Michael Pfleger.

obama already has the lead in the polls in women voters and latino voters, needless to say african american voters and young voters such as college students. needless to say the really big kicker is the white american male vote. but after bush the u.s. has a big thirst for change and mccain is no big change after bush.... obama will win the presidency most Mysteriously.

for all the smears about obama-related pastors, how about this concerning republican supporter of mccain campaign, clayton williams junior - A reporter overheard Williams comparing rape to weather: "As long as it's inevitable, you might as well lie back and enjoy it." obama's pastor misspoke pretty egregiously saying "god damn america" for the racism in the u.s., but what he meant was "god damn the RACISM in america." what did clayton williams jr. mean about rape? a redneck creep's comments....

Is this an election or American Idol where a no talent guy like Sanjay can beat talented singers by getting a lot of idiots to cast a vote, and Barack .... well theres no difference really
Thanks Bill R. for endorsing Obama. Maybe if you had endorsed a week before the Texas primary, Obama wouldn't have had to waste $40M convincing Hillary that her numbers didn't add up. Instead you watched Super Bowl with Bill Clinton and rode the fence for almost 2 months. Not very brave.
And Bill, what were you thinking in the New Hamphire Debate Jan. 6th, you referred (3 times) to Russia as the Soviet Union. For someone who bills himself as strong on Foreign Policy, you flunked that one.
I honestly believe that if Obama put Richardson in as VP, he would easily win the Latino base and destroy McCain in the final primaries. Especially now that Edwards has decided he does not want to seek the VP again, this would be a WINNING TICKET! I hope Mr. Axelrod and campaign managers consider an Obama/Richardson partnership. I really do!
DIOS TE BENDIGA, Bill Richardson you showed the world that blacks and latinos can come together for the common good. Morenos,Latinos, Blancos,y asianos juntos peudemos hace este pais magnificito. Votaba por el cambio este mundo y este pais.
if u want WWIII please vote for McCain. If u want more lies, bold in ur face (ur too dumb so we can get away with it) lies vote for McCain. If u want a better America the founding fathers would be proud of, vote O.B.A.M.A!

Obama took exception to Don Imus' stupid racially-insensitive statements. Obama admitted that he had appeared on the Imus show once before. Obama said that Imus' comments were "hateful," that Obama personally would fire him, and he (Obama) would not be an "enabler" by appearing on the Imus show in the future. And what about Rev. Wright?
At a recent fundraiser, Barack Obama told the crowd, "I was a constitutional law professor, which means unlike the current president I actually respect the Constitution."Obama is not even a professor
Obama writes in his book That an article in Life Magazine was responsible for his racial awakening. In it, he wrote, was an article and two accompanying photographs of an African-American man physically and mentally scarred by his efforts to lighten his skin. In fact, the Life article and the photographs never existed according to the magazine's own historians.
...I think you are mistaken, as i too was inspired by the same article. I was able to use the technique to work on my own appearance. Yours sincreley, M.Jackson

OBAMA08 The empty suit campaign
While Sen. Barack Obama said he couldn't throw over his friend and pastor of 20 years for racially charged and divisive hate speech, he had no trouble calling for the head of Sen. Trent Lott, the Republican Senate majority leader, for embracing a colleague with a segregationist past on his 100th birthday.

Tony Rezko, a long time friend and fund-raiser for Obama, was indicted last fall on federal charges that accuse him of demanding kickbacks from companies seeking state business. When asked about his friend, Obama said, "I've never done any favors for him." This turned out to be a lie, as evidence turned up proving that Obama had written letters to city and state officials praising Rezko's business practices.

First he said he never heard the hate speech and as evidence to the contrary become evident he tells the truth behind yet another empty speech. Now we learn his statements about Rezko were also False. Now he claims the "Just a supporter Rezko," helped raise $90,000 a day and he spoke with him nearly every day on strategy for his elections. A man now on trial for corruption.

The Obamaidiots love to say Obama has the best judgement because he was against the Iraqi war, and anyone for it has bad judgement.
Biden voted for the war, yet since he's for obama - we should excuse him.

The affidavit filed with a Nevada court in order to obtain a search warrant executed Tuesday against the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now ("ACORN"), acknowledges that the inmates were employed as part of a State of Nevada prison-to-civilian transition program.
formeracorner 3 years ago

The group appears to shake down corporate interests with relentless PR attacks, and then enters no lobby agreements with targeted corporations after receiving payment.
formeracorner 3 years ago
As the Consumer Rights League points out in its new expose, the ACORN Housing Corporation has worked to obtain mortgages for illegal aliens in partnership with Citibank. It relies on undocumented income, under the table money, which may not be reported to the Internal Revenue Service. Moreover, the groups financial justice operations attack lenders for exotic loans, while recommending 10-year interest-only loans (which deny equity to the buyer) and risky reverse mortgages
formeracorner 3 years ago
Under the guise of consumer advocacy, ACORN has lined its pockets. The Department of Housing and Urban Development funds hundreds, if not thousands, of left-wing anti-poverty groups across the country led by ACORN. Last October, HUD announced more than $44 million in new housing counseling grants to over 400 state and local efforts.

In March, Philadelphia elections officials accused the nonprofit advocacy group of filing fraudulent voter registrations in advance of the April 22nd Pennsylvania primary. The charges have been forwarded to the city district attorneys office

During a congressional hearing in Ohio in the aftermath of the 2004 election, officials from several counties in the state explained ACORNs practice of dumping thousands of registration forms in their lap on the submission deadline, even though the forms had been collected months earlier.
formeracorner 3 years ago
The groups vandalism on electoral integrity is systemic. ACORN has been implicated in similar voter fraud schemes in Missouri, Ohio and at least 12 other states. The Wall Street Journal noted: In Ohio in 2004, a worker for one affiliate was given crack cocaine in exchange for fraudulent registrations that included underage voters, dead voters and pillars of the community named Mary Poppins, Dick Tracy and Jive Turkey.
formeracorner 3 years ago
Last July, ACORN settled the largest case of voter fraud in the history of Washington State. Seven ACORN workers had submitted nearly 2,000 bogus voter registration forms. According to case records, they flipped through phone books for names to use on the forms, including Leon Spinks, Frekkie Magoal and Fruto Boy Crispila. Three ACORN election hoaxers pleaded guilty in October. A King County prosecutor called ACORNs criminal sabotage an act of vandalism upon the voter rolls.
formeracorner 3 years ago
According to ACORN, Obama trained its Chicago members in leadership seminars; in turn, ACORN volunteers worked on his campaigns. Obama also sat on the boards of the Woods Fund and Joyce Foundation, both of which poured money into ACORNs coffers. ACORN head Maude Hurd gushes that Obama is the candidate who best understands and can affect change on the issues ACORN cares about — like ensuring their massive pipeline to your hard-earned money.

Abraham Lincoln, "I began to suspect," he would write later in his autobiographical The Audacity of Hope (2006), "that I might have been wrong."

Carter's trip to hamas was to clear the path for Obama to talk to terrorist.

He was trounced in the last debate and he knows its easier to preach then it is to have an answer to empty words

for all the smears about obama-related pastors, how about this concerning republican supporter of mccain campaign, clayton williams junior - A reporter overheard Williams comparing rape to weather: "As long as it's inevitable, you might as well lie back and enjoy it." obama's pastor misspoke pretty egregiously saying "god damn america" for the racism in the u.s., but what he meant was "god damn the RACISM in america." what did clayton williams jr. mean about rape? a redneck creep's comments....

Again another stupid post.
The remark of Clayton was in 1990, and Clayton connection with Mccain was to organize a fundraiser.
Obama Called Rev. Wright inspirational and important person who shaped his religious mind. So inspirational he titles his book after wrights sermon
Are you that stupid you cant see the differences in the relationships?
Of course not, all you know is what youre told

If McCain is four more years of Bush lets continue that logic with Barrack is for racial divide like Rev. Wright and Rev. Michael Pfleger.
After all Obama did listen to this garbage for 20 years and did nothing, got into business with Rezko, who he knew was under indictment, was more than friendly with Ares, a terrorist.
Pass the Koolaid and throw away your flagpin here comes barack!

You just got to love Obama:
He called Hillary and McCain campaigns as fear mongering. But Calling McCain four more years of Bush is something entirely different, because Obama says it?

Obamas so called better judgment
1. Rev. Wright 20 years listening to hate speech.
2. Bill Ayers terrorist supporter and friend of Obama
3. Tony Rezko surrently on trial for corruption and fundraiser for Obama.
He accomplished next to nothing as a senator and so far his only claim to "judgement" comes from a statement opposing the Iraq war when his words wouldnt affect his office and later said in his book The Audacity of Hope "that I might have been wrong." ref. to the Iraq war

Wright?

Obama writes in his book That an article in Life Magazine was responsible for his racial awakening. In it, he wrote, was an article and two accompanying photographs of an African-American man physically and mentally scarred by his efforts to lighten his skin. In fact, the Life article and the photographs never existed according to the magazine's own historians.

Obama is like a guy who places bets after the roulette wheel stops spinning.
Almost as soon as the war began in March 2003, Obama had second thoughts about his opposition to it. Watching the dramatic footage of the toppling of Saddam's statue in Baghdad, and then the President's speech aboard the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln, "I began to suspect," he would write later in his autobiographical The Audacity of Hope (2006), "that I might have been wrong."

OBAMA "Change"
in September 2004, in the heat of his campaign for the U.S. Senate, Obama said (according to an AP report) that even though Bush had "bungled his handling of the war," simply pulling out of Iraq "would make things worse." What does he say today? what will he say tomorrow?
