Holy snarkies Batman, we've been lied too! Mars does have an atmosphere! And it looks an awefull lot like Earth! Could it be that Mars has been habitable this whole time? Could it be that until leaks like this, NASA had been color editing images? These are some of the ONLY pics one can find that shows the true color of Mars! Wonder whats really going on in our Solar System?
@EnkiSvohden get a life and go to the nasa website....you can find the same images, and yes it does have an atmosphere retard, you should have learned that in elementary school. But its not like you could breathe it and mars is -80 below zero at its highest temperature. it is far from habitable!!!!

Since oxygen and water vapor are blue, a 'too blue' martian atmosphere may rise unnecceserly question about the official composition of atmosphere (95.32% CO2, 2.7% N2, 1.6% Ar, 0.13% O2, 0.07% CO, 0.03% H2O, p=7mb) and possible life. To keep conspiracy debate on a low profile, they make appearance of mars a bit more reddish. That fits into the 'red planet' thinking of most people and nobody comes to the idea to dig deeper....
