But I suppose someone who listens to Blind Guardian over Judas Priest would almost have to be lacking in any knowledge metal/music related. WHAT KIND OF A STATEMENT IS THAT ANYWAYS. How does anyone come across Blind Guardian before hearing of JUDAS PRIEST

@804safety. Oh sorry. Actually yes, many scholars in my India also praise Canada a lot, for the country being friendly with all. But I think Canada is a part of NATO and sent troops to Irak and Afghanistan?
@804safety. I believe in unionist policy. For me, US, Canada, Australia and UK are same, as they are English speaking nations with 80% white population. I don't think that Latin America differs from North America. All are human being. US to Chile should be united as EU, all Arab nations should be united (they have one language and religion), China, Japan and all Southeast Asian Nations should be united, as all are Mongoloids.
@axn36 how about we all unite as we are all human beings,im not racist & dont think that all people that are the same race should unitee with just eachother, thats fascist thinking, were all the human race & not one race is better than another...
axn36 most people who like this will probably disagree with you knocking Black Sabbath that hard, lol, I agree this song is among the very best tho'. :)
"Run of the Mill" is another Priest song I'd put up by this one. LOVE old Priest. (and the vast majority of new Priest)
@axn36 I love the Dio era too but I love the original Sabbath just as much. I 'm ok with you not liking the Sabs but putting them in the same sentence as Korn or Nirvana I don't get. Just other bands you hate I presume? I can't fucking stand Korn.
@AngusShanks. First of all, both nirvana and korn knows nothing about the basic of music. Korn's vocalist can't sing properly in scale, if you listen to their defective vocals first. Then comes nirvana and many alternative/ grunge bands, who appear with a depressing appearance & thought them as great artists of tragedy, but lack any form of guitar virtuosity, with an angst ridden voice & depressing lyrics.
@AngusShanks. I dislike sabbath for a different reason. I first listened to their song iron man. It is nothing at all. Calling iron man as rock or metal is far off the question. What kind of stupid composition is it? Most of the songs in Reunion released in 1999 were shit. Paranoid is a boring song.
@804safety. Culture or music is such a thing, which you can't credit to one single handedly. Sabbath was only one of those pioneers. Other pioneers include Led Zep, Deep Purple as well. Later, Motorhead began the modern metal which influenced bands like Maiden. Sabbath was famous for power chord & negativism/ depressing ideas in music. For such stupid depression pattern, they can't be termed as musicians. Dio's music is far better than them (Holy Diver). Dio was Ozzy's contemporary.
@axn36@axn36 'For such stupid depression pattern, they can't be termed as musicians.' Woaho! You can't say that! Sounds like you know 4 or 5 Sabbath songs. Really, sir, i beseech you to venture future into Sabbath. Check out Sabbath Bloody Sabbath or, my fav, Sabotage. The later stuff, esp Heaven & Hell and Mob Rules, is also fantastic.
@garvan.Agreed. That's it. Most of the Sabbath songs lack melody. Paranoid is a good example. Try motorhead, judas priest or iron maiden or kiss. They are far better.
@axn36 wait, someone who writes depressing songs can't be 'termed as a musician?' Since when? So Chopin, Mozart, Beethoven, and the Beatles (in some songs) aren't musicians?
@axn36 "Can't be termed as musicians." WTF?!?! The members of Black Sabbath are much better musicians than you'll ever be. How many sabbath songs have you even listened to? One or two? Just cause you don't like a couple of their most famous songs doesn't mean that they are not good musicians. Besides everybody likes different things so you can't just talk shit about a band just cause you don't their particular style. Asshole.
@axn36 How can you like metal and not like Sabbath? Isn't that like liking swords and sorcery but not liking Lord of the Rings? Sabbath started it all, including Priest
@TheAdam159. There's no rule that if ur a metal fan, u must love sabbath. Many metal bands r far better than sabbath, especially maiden, metallica, megadeth, slayer, motorhead, death, annihilator & many more
@TheAdam159 At the Priest concerts this year before the band came on they played War Pigs on the PA and EVERYONE sang along to it, and when Rob mentioned Black Sabbath before this song the whole arena erupted. So it is my personal belief that all metalheads must like Sabbath as well as Priest
I remember the first time I heard this song so many years back; like @BarryMcClure, I thought that the first solo was the greatest solo that I had ever heard. Then, when the 6:00 mark came, well..... so did I. This song is truly amazing.
@MaidenDio252 Oh, my mistake. That makes it way cooler...but not really. Perhaps they should just stick with covering joan baez songs. No that didn't really work either. Perhaps if they tried to mention dynamos more...no that didn't work. Perhaps more claymation skeletons on motorcycles...yeah, that was pretty pathetic as well...I know! Longer guitar solos...Seriously, if this crap makes you feel bad ass you are beyond the realms of silly.
@madisonsuicide Look. If you don't like Judas Priest, then go watch whatever it is that you call music. Stop being a fucking troll. And this song doesn't make me feel badass, it makes me wish I had the talent that Judas Priest has.
@madisonsuicide and this is one of their softer songs, you'd have a fuckn heart attack if you heard painkiller or jawbreaker. People love this music because it's innovative, dynamic, influential and strikingly impressive, and yes it definitely makes you feel bad ass for all those reasons, if you got a problem, well you can stick your soft cock music up your ass and suck Halfords gay cock.
@madisonsuicide lol wtf you listen to your a mallcore faggot who trys and look cool for the slutty girls at your 6th grade class gtfo and leave the real music to real people
One of my favorite songs. The guitar solo and the high notes make this an instant classic. The guitar completes the song, just like in Stairway to Heaven.
@blaxberg47 but Black Sabbath started with the dark themes in their music before Judas Priest. And its true, Maiden wouldn't be around without Priest and many other bands would say so too.
In all of the years of Rock and Roll this holds to being one of the best songs ever written, both music & lyrics. Thank God I have see this done live on stage many times.
This is absolutely fabulous. I remember watching a docu on danish tv in the late 80s with two guys who shot themself after listening to Judas Priest. I believe it was this song.
@archangelch sorry dude, I was in another clip...(multi-youtube-channels open)
You are right. But without being cold or being an ass, listening to the good old Heavy Metal being wasted, isn't for everybody. I was hell-wasted many times, listening to Priest and Maiden, having the best times of my live !!!! Being very sarcastic, if I would be hell-wasted, and listen to Britney Spears, I surely would get nuts. And only God knows (maybe) what i would do. This is a fuckin' old controversy.
I think I know why there is not very many views in metal videos... Becuse metal fans buy there idols albums and listen to the album instead on youtube but IDoneYourMum should still have a big thanks for uploading this masterpiece so people who don't have bought this record can listen to it and then go and buy it! Thanks so much for uploading the stained class album :) Heavy Metal is the law!
Maybe Judas Priest had someone to write their stuff in the 70's. Think about it...
Compare this album to the likes of Turbo, and even Painkiller. Yeah, Painkiller is an epic album, but it's about some metal messiah, with "laser bullets" << the fuck? I'm just saying that every album after British Steel have been very cliche, or IN YOUR FACE METAL, shallow kind of stuff.
@sinbysin666 THIS is who they are. They sold out in the 80s as far as I'm concerned. None of their 80s stuff compares to anything on sad wings, sin after sin and this.
@letekro are you telling me defenders of the faith was a sell out? i don't think so, a great album. after that they were just trying to compete with the new metal out. they never sold out dude, um-k!
@shafta99 Dumbing down the material for the masses is a sell out in my book. Are there good songs on Defenders of the Faith? Yes. But overall, they never reached their late 70s heights in terms of originality or technical excellence. Nothing wrong with trying to make some coin, but let's call a spade a spade, um-k?
i believe it was les paul that ranked that pansy axel rose best metal voice of all time. rob doing this just one of his many greats they were completely fckd. priest one of the greatest metal bands ever. peace. thanks for the great music!

coua78 6 months ago
@blaxberg47 but Black Sabbath started with the dark themes in their music before Judas Priest. And its true, Maiden wouldn't be around without Priest and many other bands would say so too.

This is to Judas Priest, to what One is to Metallica, and Stairway to heaven was to Led Zepplien.
FdubErik 7 months ago 4
@FdubErik why "One" replace it with Fade to Black.

This is absolutely fabulous. I remember watching a docu on danish tv in the late 80s with two guys who shot themself after listening to Judas Priest. I believe it was this song.
ruderkonge1976 7 months ago
@ruderkonge1976 nope, it was "Blood Red Skies"
archangelch 7 months ago
@archangelch nope it was "Better By You, Better Than Me"

I'm just saying that every album after British Steel have been very cliche, or IN YOUR FACE METAL, shallow kind of stuff.
sinbysin666 7 months ago
@sinbysin666 THIS is who they are. They sold out in the 80s as far as I'm concerned. None of their 80s stuff compares to anything on sad wings, sin after sin and this.
letekro 7 months ago
@letekro are you telling me defenders of the faith was a sell out? i don't think so, a great album. after that they were just trying to compete with the new metal out. they never sold out dude, um-k!
shafta99 6 months ago
@shafta99 Dumbing down the material for the masses is a sell out in my book. Are there good songs on Defenders of the Faith? Yes. But overall, they never reached their late 70s heights in terms of originality or technical excellence. Nothing wrong with trying to make some coin, but let's call a spade a spade, um-k?
letekro 6 months ago
@letekro JP's 80s stuff wasn't sell out maybe Turbo but the rest of the albums on that decade only evolved.
