@UZOFusion -- yup, I've had it for a couple months. For my setup, I'm loving it. HOWEVER the tone you end up with will depend on (a) your fingers/skill, and perhaps to a lesser degree (b) the amp you play it through.
IMO this guy makes the Ethos sound about as good as it can. In my case, I really like the clean and overdrive sounds I'm getting... I ain't no Robben Ford, but that's my cross to bear 8^) . Personally, I feel like the Ethos was worth the wait, but as in all things YMMV.
@blave549 Were they pretty tru 2 ur due date or did u receive it quicker? I get what ur saying... sometimes u find a really good player and they seem to get the sound ur looking 4 out of a pedal but u obviously don't play the same. Ted Nugent said in an interview when he heard Eddie Van Halen 4 the first time in the late 70's, He was so impressed by his tone and he plugged into his rig and realized... it's not his rig. @UZOFusion I think I got my shipment readiness notification about a month ahead of when I was expecting it. BTW have a look at the Kingsley Amplifiers line of pedals (I can't embed the URL here). I temporarily traded my Ethos for a friend's Jester pedal last week, and I liked it a lot. It's not better or worse than the Ethos, just a different sort of overdrive. (And note that the amp I played it through was a Peavey Bandit 65, an old solid-state amp...)
wow , very un-orth, approach to your playing,....thats a good thing. but i own this same pedal, and IMHO it wasnt designed and shaped tonally for what you,re doing. like I said, IMHO so really who gives a shit what i say!!
