You should really use a crossover cable between routers and switches and not an Ethernet cable.

You would think a machine as powerful as an old pc would be able to send a signal wirelessly to another nearby ps3, just like what a Nintendo ds can do, but no seems like it doesn't have the to power to do it.

Nice video might consider buying the switch , so you can connect a cable from a router to a switch to make the switch accomodate extra devices such as printers ect? I have 7 things wanting ethernet connection from the router however the router only supports 4 ports.

@JihadOfTheSoul Nope as LAN gaming is Local connection gaming (between the 4 pc's etc that are conencted to the router/switch)
