As someone who has seen a person who committed suicide with a 20 guauge pump action using #9 bird shot, blew 3/4s of his head off after putting the barrel in his mouth and penetrated the paneling on the wall. Interesting.. i had never seen the crime scene diagram before, now this raises a question and also it looks somewhat staged to me, a small detail i think raises a lot of questions for me, if the Winchester rifle was held by him, shouldn`t the shell be on his other side? According to the diagram the spent shell is located to his left, but if the winchester drops its spent shells to its right then wouldnt it land on his right side (holding he gun upside down towards him)

@bevanmcg I agree that we'd really need to see a picture of Cobain's body to see what the cops were actually describing, but from everything the medical examiners have told the public about the situation, it was really the strength of Cobain's "death grip" (cadaveric spasm) around the gun barrel that ensured it remained in position, inverted on his chest. The presence of the cadaveric spasm was also a large part of why Cobain's wound was ruled as self-inflicted.

Ultimately, it would take a reopening of the case and/or a release of the autopsy reports/photos to answer some of the questions we've asked here. IMO, that day will never come. I could be wrong, we'll see. What "hacked call" are you referring to?

@bevanmcg Haha, I found some uploads of a hacked conference call between the FBI and Scotland Yard. It's basically 15 minutes of the agents bullshitting back and forth, joking around and giggling. I guess people have a Hollywood image of FBI agents all being hard-ass, driven, uber-professionals, like Clarice Starling from "Silence of the Lambs", or whatever. Turns out, a lot of cops are slackers, and some are hard workers. Just like pretty much any other job.

As far as the shell casing goes, only the cops would know what their motivation for moving it would be (or of they actually did move it at all). It's possible they were gathering the physical evidence up to get as much of it in the photo as possible. Whatever the case, it's clear from the police reports that they weren't above handling and moving the evidence to make things more convenient for them.
@ArtificialArtist The thing with that diagram is, it's based on the follow up reports of the last officers to arrive at the scene -- officers Yoshida & Kirkland. We know from the report of the 1st officer to arrive at the scene (Levandowski), that he & 2 other officers had begun photographing the scene before the coroners arrived, & that they MOVED the suicide note from its original position to get better shots of it. It's possible the shell casing was moved for the same reason
@TestMeatDollSteak Thats a good point, why would it be moved from an open area onto behind the corpse though? From a observers position it would be somewhat inconvenient to put it there wouldn`t it? It`s certainly possible thas how it was, but i see no reason why to move it there and not place it on a shelf/table neaby instead.

@bevanmcg Incorrect. The guy in the Broomfield movie (Kurt&Courtney) had actually orally ingested methadone, and not intravenously injection heroin. Orally ingested opiates hit the blood stream at a much slower rate than intravenously injected narcotics, hence the user's increased motor function. Broomfield was not aware of this oversight when he released the movie. Regardless of whether you believe murder, or suicide, you need to get your facts in line.

I've pointed out before that there are certain questions we simply wouldn't be able to answer unless Cobain's autopsy reports/crime scene photos are released, and I've freely admitted that I could be wrong. Having said that, there are still some things that can be ruled out as entirely false (or at least not supported by any available evidence, and/or contradicted by the available evidence). It is what it is.

Kurts lawyer stated that he was in the middle of making a new will tht didn't include a certain woman. A certain woman changed her story about another suicide note among some other stuff. Dude thats totally true!! I read a what tom grant wrote about all his discoveries on this whole investigation. Im not saying Courtney did it but none of it made sense and Im pretty sure it was a homicide. With all the morphine in his body, he couldnt even pick up the shot gun in the first place.

The eyewitness account of the electrician that discovered his body, and the typed statements of the 1st officer at the scene describing the condition of Cobain's body when he entered the greenhouse confirm this. If you haven't read the released police documents pertaining to the case, I'd suggest doing so before forming an opinion.

@ArtificialArtist Cobain's rifle was a Remington, not a Winchester. As far as the shell casing goes, only the cops would know what their motivation for moving it would be (or of they actually did move it at all). It's possible they were gathering the physical evidence up to get as much of it in the photo as possible. Whatever the case, it's clear from the police reports that they weren't above handling and moving the evidence to make things more convenient for them.

@ArtificialArtist The thing with that diagram is, it's based on the follow up reports of the last officers to arrive at the scene -- officers Yoshida & Kirkland. We know from the report of the 1st officer to arrive at the scene (Levandowski), that he & 2 other officers had begun photographing the scene before the coroners arrived, & that they MOVED the suicide note from its original position to get better shots of it. It's possible the shell casing was moved for the same reason

@bevanmcg Incorrect. The guy in the Broomfield movie (Kurt&Courtney) had actually orally ingested methadone, and not intravenously injection heroin. Orally ingested opiates hit the blood stream at a much slower rate than intravenously injected narcotics, hence the user's increased motor function. Broomfield was not aware of this oversight when he released the movie. Regardless of whether you believe murder, or suicide, you need to get your facts in line.

I've pointed out before that there are certain questions we simply wouldn't be able to answer unless Cobain's autopsy reports/crime scene photos are released, and I've freely admitted that I could be wrong. Having said that, there are still some things that can be ruled out as entirely false (or at least not supported by any available evidence, and/or contradicted by the available evidence). It is beyond comprehension how someone can carefully select the caliber of bullet with which to kill themself. It is proof, in my opinion, that the person has a defective mind, especially when there is no rational, tenable, understandable reason to suicide. I also cannot believe his friend who purchased the gun didn't know Kurt was a candidate to shoot himself. I guess if you got no money and need dope, some people will do almost anything to get it. Kurt took an overdose of heroine incase the shoot to his head wouldn't work because as we know, lots of people survive shot gun shoots. Also, he wouldn't have been able to feel the pain, even though the shoot killed him instantly.

The eyewitness account of the electrician that discovered his body, and the typed statements of the 1st officer at the scene describing the condition of Cobain's body when he entered the greenhouse confirm this. If you haven't read the released police documents pertaining to the case, I'd suggest doing so before forming an opinion.
